Am I the only one that thinks that the author gave us a big clue about what going to happening? I have a feeling that Chronos and his scythe will be important to the plot.
Thanks for the translation. The end of every chapter leaves me frustrated and wanting more, even though the translation is by no means slow. Even a chapter every day or two seems slow when the novel is this good.
I'm also a bit torn over how long I want this arc to last. On the one hand like many people I miss the girls (especially our airheaded goddess) and don't like the idea of them being away from the story. Though the author has already done one side chapter showing the present, so they might keep doing that to keep us from missing them too much? On the other hand I really don't want this whole time travel plot line to be glossed over too quickly either. The concept is too good to half-ass, and I really want him to play a major part in defeating the great demon lord the first time round then come back to the present to do it again as the legendary unsung hero. He also has to train up Momo.
So yea, feeling a bit torn here.

I have a theory.
We know that in official history, Cain were killed by Abel. Here's the thing, we also know that some part of the history were likely untrue. With Noah having no memory of Makoto in the future, what if Cain wasn't actually killed, but secretly allied with Makoto and goes away without interfering in Demon-Human war ever again, and waiting at the final dungeon instead?
We know the existence of super hard dungeon that grants immortality. Due to equipment cheat Noah granted to him, he might be capable of clearing it, and waiting for Makoto's return in the future to finally freed Noah.

That's a nice theory and I'd love it to be true. Especially if this is the cliche reverse trap in the armour, bishoujo under the helmet situation. Might be difficult to pull of though. Since they'd still have to find a way to get around the "Noa is only allowed 1 worshipper at a time rule". If Cain is still alive in the present, then Noa wouldn't have been able to make Makoto her apostle. Plus Cain has been driven insane by Noa's cuteness (literally what happened) and doesn't seem capable of a rational discussion, unable to even understand that their demand for others to convert is completely pointless. So unless Makoto finds a way to restore their sanity too? It seems unlikely.
