It has been a month since My Knight left.
My Knight Makoto, who has been by my side the whole time, is not here.
He traveled 1,000 years into the past.
I am in the ruins of the Moon Country, Laphroaig.

“Furiae-sama!! The church will be finished soon!”
“Holy Maiden-sama! The road and waterway has expanded all the way here!”
“Furiae-sama, we are grateful for you making rounds, but please don’t push yourself!”
“Holy Maiden-sama, you are as beautiful today as well…”
I was spoken to one after the other, and I waved my hand with a smile I am not used to making.
There’s several tens of knights as bodyguards following me.
I am not used to this lifestyle…
There was nothing here 1 month ago.
The capital that was destroyed 1,000 years ago, the weed and trees that would grow as they pleased; that’s all it was.
But now…
“This is impressive. A road has been made in just 1 month, many buildings have been constructed, and it is becoming a splendid city.”
I heard that voice from my back and I looked back in an instant.
“Princess Sofia…-sama. You came. We are grateful to Rozes. For providing us -devilkin- who are lacking in technique with manpower…” (Furiae)
I hurriedly lowered my head and gave my thanks as the representative of the new Laphroaig.
“Holy Maiden Furiae, I told you it is okay to not give me such stiff greetings.” (Sofia)
“Yeah, but…I truly am grateful.” (Furiae)
I return the smile of Princess Sofia with a wry smile.
Many devilkin have gathered in order to revive Laphroaig.
Making a country requires money.
Camelon is currently assisting us with the funds.
Next is the capable people.
There’s a lot of devilkin that can’t even read, so there aren’t any people who can lead groups.
The Water Country of Rozes has been sending capable people who can lead others.
Princess Sofia herself gathered people and has come to the Moon Country.
My gratitude towards her is unending.
“But is it really okay to be making a city all carefreely…? Even though the Great Demon Lord has resurrected just recently…” (Furiae)
I look north where the Demonic Continent is located at.
“Ira-sama said that this isn’t the time to attack, so it can’t be helped.” (Sofia)
“Are the predictions of that Goddess really reliable…?” (Furiae)
Because of past events, I don’t trust in the Destiny Goddess.
“You must not be like that, Furiae. That very Goddess-sama is the one assisting Laphroaig to an explosive extent.” (Sofia)
Princess Sofia hurriedly covered my mouth.
Right, most of the funds of the revival of the Moon Country are being shouldered by the Commercial Country…that the Destiny Goddess has instructed to do.
But this is reparations for what she has done in the past.
It is natural to receive this.
“If Highland were to help out, the city would be made faster though.” (Sofia)
“I don’t wanna.” (Furiae)
I immediately rejected it.
Princess Sofia sighed.
“Right, the Moon Country people have negative emotions towards the Sun Country. I am sure it wouldn’t go well… Noel-sama offered to assist though…” (Sofia)
“I won’t borrow the help of the Sun Country or that woman.” (Furiae)
I said bluntly.

“Furiae…you and Noel-sama are this generation’s Holy Maidens, you know? Wouldn’t it be better to get along a little bit bet—” (Sofia)

I felt my cheeks heat up while I said this.
Princess Sofia looked at me with an ice-like smile at what I said with all my courage.
“Oh my, it is just like Lucy-san and Aya-san told me. You have become quite honest, Furiae.” (Sofia)
“…T-That’s right. Got a problem?” (Furiae)
“No, I don’t. But…” (Sofia)
Princess Sofia said straight.
“Hero Makoto is my fiance, the fiance of the Water Country’s princess. I won’t allow you to be the one at his side.” (Sofia)
She smiled at me elegantly, and I let out an ‘ugh’ and choked on my words.
“By the way, I have brought the teaching staff of the Water Country today. I have heard that the devilkin children don’t get a decent education.” (Sofia)
“Y-Yeah. I will guide you to where the children are…” (Furiae)
I guide Princess Sofia and her bodyguards.
On the way, I glanced at the profile of Princess Sofia.
A face filled with confidence.

I don’t feel like I can confront her at all.
I sighed inside my heart.

I spoke with Princess Sofia about a number of plans for the future, and consulted with her about the workforce that will be needed.
It seems like she will arrange for them immediately.

That figure of hers doing exhaustive work aloofly reminds me of My Knight who trains without sleeping.

Because of that, there’s lookouts on shifts.
I should go give my appreciation for their work.
The moment I thought this, the people of the city began to make a ruckus.
“Ooi! The Hero-sama and Witch-sama have returned!”
“Really?! What did they hunt down this time around?!”
“Wow, I have never seen something like that!”

“Let’s go!!”
The people began to run to the outside of the city.
I head in that same direction.
A crowd of people formed outside.

What was lying down outside the city was the corpse of a giant dragon.
The Moon Country has a lot of monsters, so dragons aren’t rare, but that size is abnormal.
Isn’t this dragon bigger than our city?

In front of the Ancient Dragon’s corpse, there’s a familiar red haired elf and a girl in an attire like that of a town girl.
“Oi, Furi! We are back!”
“I am tired~. Fu-chan, I want to take a bath~.”
Lucy-san and Aya-san waved their hands at me.
I hurriedly ran towards them.
“Wait! What’s this? Weren’t you just going to drive away the monsters that were close to the city?!” (Furiae)
Lucy-san and Aya-san have taken the job of hunting the monsters close to the city.
If I remember correctly, they said a few days ago ‘we will defeat the monsters around here!’.

I followed the two while pulled by Aya.
There’s normally no one who would be able to speak to me casually since I am a Holy Maiden.
But even when these two act familiar with me, no one complains.
Or more like, they can’t.
Even if all the devilkin here were to join forces, they wouldn’t be a match for Lucy-san and Aya-san.
The two stalwart fighters that wiped out the many monsters that were acting as they pleased in the ruins of the Moon Country.

There’s no one in this city that doesn’t know of Lucy-san and Sa-san.

Lucy-san was sitting cross-legged on the chair, and chugged down the ale in one go.
She has gotten hearty lately.
Like she has gotten sturdier.
That seems to be the same for Aya-san.
“Lu-chan has gotten cool lately. A girl confessed to her not that long ago.” (Aya)
“Eh? Really?!” (Furiae)
I was surprised.
“Aah, the girl that I saved from a pack of griffons, right? Falling in love with just that much is…” (Lucy)
“I see…” (Furiae)
She is like My Knight Makoto.
“That’s not good, Lu-chan. Sending loving glances to girls other than me.” (Aya)
“How stupid. There’s no way I would be swayed by other women aside from Aya, right?” (Lucy)
“Kya, Lu-chan, so cool! Take me!” (Aya)
“I won’t let you sleep tonight~.” (Lucy)
Aya-san and Lucy-san hugged and flirted around.
These two get along so well the whole time, it is envying.
Seeing my expression, the two turned at me and went ‘‘Hm?’’.
“Furi, not feeling well?” (Lucy)
“It would be nice if Fu-chan could go on adventures together with us though.” (Aya)
These two are always the ones who worry about me.
At the time when My Knight Makoto was still here.
It is so nostalgic and heartrending.
“I am doing well. I am just a bit busy, that’s all.” (Furiae)
I smile faintly.
It isn’t a lie.
My times talking without any worries are relaxing times for me.
When I talk to these two, I get more energetic.
We enjoyed dinner while having casual talks.
“Right right, we are thinking about going on an expedition for a while.” (Lucy)
“E-Expedition?” (Furiae)
Lucy-san suddenly said this.
“It seems the Ancient Dragon that we defeated was the boss of the monsters around here. That’s why there’s no strong monsters now. It won’t serve as training, so Lu-chan said we should go find strong monsters.” (Aya)
“I-I see…” (Furiae)
I felt sad at what Aya-san said.
Going on an expedition means that the two will be leaving the Moon Country.
I am sure they will be gone for more than a month.
…I will be lonely.

I have to do my best even if alone.
“And so, we were thinking about clearing Laberintos where Makoto and I went in the past. Aya knows about it in detail, so she can be the guide.” (Lucy)

Laberintos is a dungeon in Rozes.
There’s the Moon Country, then the Sun Country, and at the other side of that there’s the Water Country.
It is not a distance that they can easily just go and return.
“And so, we will be leaving the Moon Country for 3 days, so be well.” (Lucy)
Lucy-san said as if nothing.
“Huh? 3 days?” (Furiae)
Did she just say 3 days?
Not 3 months?
“Yeah. We will move with Teleport, then spend two days in Laberintos, and repeat.” (Lucy)
“The Teleport of Lu-chan is so handy~. It is an instant no matter where we want to go.” (Aya)

Right.
Lucy-san is now one of the few prominent Teleport users of the continent.
Moreover, as My Knight Makoto says, she has ‘bottomless mana’.
“T-Then, you will only be away for 3 days…?” (Furiae)
“Yeah. Cause it would be bad if the strong monsters of the Demonic Continent were to attack this city, right?” (Lucy)
“If you are in trouble, call us at once, okay?! We will come flying!” (Aya)
Lucy-san and Aya-san smile as if saying ‘ain’t that obvious?!’.
How reliable.
My insecurities and loneliness were blown away completely.
…My Knight Makoto…your comrades are here, so I am okay.
I am sure Laphroaig will manage to come back.
I will be waiting for you in the new Moon Country.

I actually thought past Makoto would be frozen inside sage's coffin and defroze right after he went back to past like in suzukiya haruhi.
Guess I was wrong?
I mean nothing has disproven that theory yet. Who says he has to wake up the moment he's transferred to the past anyways? It could be that if he took say, a year I'm the past then he'd only wake a year after he was sent to the past or something like that. Or maybe his alarm clock is borked after a thousand years.
I mean if he’s really frozen in that coffin, then that means he’s in Momo’s care. If she unfreezes him, he’ll be back with Ty e rest of his harem again. It’s therefore in Momo’s best interest to leave him frozen in her bed room until she finally has to give him back.
Another scenario would be like in El hazard when ifureta send Makoto(yes another Makoto) to the past. In the ending she is reminising when a portal appear with a more mature Makoto and they hug.
Either Sophia is transfering her men in the Moon Country or just training some of them in preparations when Leo becomes King so she could live peacefully at the Moon Country when Makoto comes back.
Ah yes, one of the two unnumbered chapters, side stories that would have prolonged our cliff-hanging suffering. Still, it's nice to see Furiae being honest to her feelings.
Still, one wonders what would happen if Makoto really does put in most of the work in freeing the past in Abel's place, like everyone has been expecting. That is, what would happen when he returns? I kind of doubt Althena would stop at just giving Noah more freedom, she seems too conscientious to not throw in additional rewards, especially since she seem to regret not being able to just free Noah outright. Of particular concern is the earlier Hero Abel-Savior dissociation. If Abel really does end up known as a hero with the Savior being someone whose name is lost to history..., and then Makoto end up being pronounced the Savior when he returns, I doubt Sofia would remain the primary fiancee for long.
And now Aya and Lucy are killing ancient dragons casually. I still remember back when Lucy was cornered by an ogre too, how far she's come now that she can even teleport casually. As ever the Yuri is strong with those two, I suspect once they're married Makoto's schedule with Lucy and Aya would be with both together ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Don't look down on the resolution and feelings of the legal wife ! Also, Eir just needs to give an oracle that bless Sofia as the legal wife of Makoto. Moreover, if there are people who aim for Makoto, they should pass through Momo(the individual who has the highest authority in Highland, the strongest country) and Furiae (the most beautiful mortal woman in the world and a Holy Maiden on top of that).
Well see : what if Momo wants to be the legal wife? What if a Holy Maiden, pronounced so by Althena herself in person, wants to contend for that position as well? Really, only Eir can be a reasonable backing for Sofia, but I kinda doubt she'd be able to forcefully push her into the legal wife position without her sisters looking at her funny.
Given the position and influence of your example, the only one safe from that is Noel wherein Althena gives an oracle for them to marry. I doubt this would happen though.
You’re forgetting the male here. You have to get Makoto and the harem’s approval to even be a part of it. Plus they already talked about who gets to be the legal wife. Sa-san and Lucy already conceded. Furiae also acknowledged Sofia to be the legal wife in this chapter too. Regarding Momo though, I don’t think she’s that selfish. There’s also the fact that you have to be able to manage his territories too. Makoto already has his but he doesn’t manage it since Rozes handles it. Momo being the lazy person she is would probably give up the position just on that.
@Asphyxia : Makoto's approval is a non-issue. It's been shown time and again, Makoto doesn't get to choose his harem members, they choose him. That he's weak to pressure and assertive approach doesn't help. That's how Janet almost secured her own position, only foiled by Sofia's stubborn resistance. Regarding territory management, are you really putting it out of Momo's capability to just dump the issue over to Highland's royalty? I certainly believe she's capable of that much, and willing to if she really wanted to be the legal wife. You think she isn't that selfish, but when it comes to love I won't cross out the possibility.
Regarding Furiae, IMO it's more that she's mostly accustomed to losing which is why she's so quick to admit defeat (mentally). She also hasn't ever been really secure about her attraction since she's so used to seeing Lucy and Aya. Give it some time though, and character development may as well lead her into becoming even more assertive.
Essentially, I personally think that Sofia is being confident because she has to be. She's backed by her own goddess. It doesn't really guarantee the future, especially with the meta knowledge that Furiae was the planned main Heroine. Though a more important point has to be made : I personally think it's unimportant to us as to who ends up the legal wife, it's mostly only relevant for the local politics. What IS important is for the author to stay their course and not stray away from the harem end.
Makoto’s approval is an issue. Otherwise he wouldn’t have rejected the nobles proposals. Sofia wasn’t the only reason why Janet was rejected too, Makoto said was he was already engaged to Sofia. The harem works together with Makoto in making sure the good girls pass. Kind of like a screening test. While Makoto by himself would accept them so there’s that loophole a thousand years ago where there’s no one to manage Makoto.
Great Sage herself said that she’s bad at tactics and she doesn’t show signs at being great at management. It’s true she could just dump the work to others but you really think Momo the deredere loli will do that?
Furiae IMO is not quick to admit defeat quite the opposite actually. She’s a sore loser in my eyes such as when she still tried to charm Makoto even after knowing it was useless and when she teases Noel at the beginning. When it comes to beauty, I do agree she’s not as confident as she did in the beginning. Mainly because of Makoto.
I do think a good harem end is what’s important too. Just make Makoto and the harem happy and I’ll accept.
Maybe Savior Abel's fame gets split between Abel and Makoto. I mean even if Makoto does most of what history attributes to Abel, Abel still has the Light Hero Skill needed to beat Iblis. Just call them the Twin Saviors or something. Meanwhile history might record Makoto as a Water Hero since he clearly uses water magic and he's going around sacrificing demons to Eir so maybe that might bring up Rozes standing to be equal to Highland's.
Twin saviors sounds cringey but ok.
Well, that'd still stick half the Savior title on Makoto. And unlike Abel who the people just presumed as being reborn into Sakurai, Makoto is there, in the flesh. It's like the whole Great Sage situation, only much more complicated, especially with the whole "Noah's Apostle" stuff complicating things further. In any case, so many complications to look forward to.

Althena and the Holy Gods will owe Makoto a huge debt so maybe they’ll lift the Spirit King ban? Or maybe Althena herself will be the reward. At the very least, maybe he can ask a favor to them.
I don’t think it will be known to the public that Makoto was the savior. The author likes foreshadowing and a particular one is Makoto’s game where the hero saved the world from the Demon King but nobody knew of him. Maybe this only refers to before he went back in time. Maybe he’ll have to save them again in the present and fight the Great Demon Lord again to save Sakurai and then they’ll know. The aftermath of that would be epic. Makoto is a free spirit (pun intended) and likes Rozes so I doubt that he’ll change his fiancee.
Why have two of them together when you can have all of them at the same time or one by one everyday? Competition on who satisfies him the most?

Is it bad that I want Althena to be the reward? I want Althena to be the reward!
And regarding the whole "his game as foreshadowing" thing..., at least in the LN his favorite ending was one where the hero becomes the (not a, THE) Demon Lord, think about that for a bit. And the higher ups of Highland already knows that he's on a mission, they were there when Althena made the request. Thinking him as the savior is a small leap from there since he at least saved Abel, as per the request. It'd probably just turn into another Great Sage situation though. Makoto likes Rozes, it's true, but he doesn't have any particular attachment to Sofia so outside forces may still intervene. Especially if he were to be considered even half the legendary Savior. Those same outside forces will try their damnedest to not offend him, but people in power will be racing to get into his pants more than ever.
And you know, sometimes the girls may want some alone time with him, that's what a schedule is for. Instead, Aya and Lucy might actually prefer to be with Makoto and the other. They can schedule a separate day for the family to gather together ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Althena has honestly really grown on me in the few chapters she showed up. She strikes me as not really that unlike Sophia where she's just kind of an overtly serious girl exasperated at dealing with unreasonable people, who also projects a bit of a scary image so she's unapproachable.
My thoughts exactly. I've said it before, she's basically Sofia, just substitute divine for royal. In some ways, I think she's better than Sofia even. She's quick to take the opportunity to apologize, and apologized properly, for one.
Althena is a good girl.

Personally I'm picturing a very large bed. And if we get any more situations like Lucy/Aya, that bed becomes a more interesting place. Polyamory basically ;)
Time alone could be served by individual dates. Looks like Aya and Lucy would be going on their own dates with each other too. Scheduling dates is fine. But nighttime I think should be more dynamic, not scheduled/scripted in any way.
Now Sakurai's nighttime is sadly scheduled for him. That's entirely lacking in romance and passion. He doesn't exactly seem happy about the situation, and I doubt the various women are either. Love making shouldn't be a chore/duty that one is scheduled to perform. I feel sorry for Sakurai for this reason. I don't think Makoto and the girls should follow that model.
Now see, the problem is, if there isn't any sort of organization, the girls could very well be dissatisfied, feeling like one is favored over the other.
It's really a matter of how it's done and for what. Sakurai is basically just a glorified sperm donor for most of his 'wives', himself seemingly only really caring about his two classmates and Noel, and his feelings are returned in kind by both the people he cares for and the ones he care nothing for.
Meanwhile, as regards Makoto, it's basically an idea on how to maintain balance and not hurt the girls' feelings. Naturally if they feel like something else can work better, it'd be done. But the essence of my point remains : I suspect that Aya-Lucy will be a package deal, and Makoto better have some way to deal with his own endurance. Since unfortunately he's quite unlike, and is rather the opposite, of the other Makoto.
It wouldn't be bad to invest in a bigger bed, actually...

You were referring to his favorite end, I was referring to the normal end. He has two choices here.
If the others were to intervene and if changing his fiancee meant disputes and residence change, I don’t think he’ll accept. They could try but he probably won’t budge.
Yeah, but nothing really says that there needs to be a change in residence. Especially not if the issue arose because he's acknowledge as the (half-)Savior. They may very well allow whoever the fiancée is to just follow him, only providing additional residence near the girl's origins.
Also, I think there's a place where Makoto would definitely consider if he were to be offered a new residence : wherever that place is that's the entry to Noah's prison, which currently serve as a resort of sort. Having a residence there means easy access to his rescue attempts.
As I see it the Spirit King ban is more of a treaty much like the nuke ban treaty. Difference is the gods/godesses are more strict in enforcing than the nation within the nuke ban treaty.
