Well, makoto doesn't seek the goddesses, the goddesses who come to makoto themselves.
This chapter was way too short! I have several things I want to know! Will Alex remain trapped in the deeps of the oceans for the rest of his life? Why did makoto died after becoming a spirit king? Did the gods kill him? Does makoto still have the spirit arm after being resurrected back as a human? How much did makoto mana control increased from that?

Well, Makoto offered his body so i guess he died by human standard but not his soul. Maybe he didn't have his spirit arm anymore.
And if my guess is true, then it doesn't matter anymore whether Makoto has spirit arm or not anymore since he is the Water Spirit King already, or at least his soul used to be the King, which should leave something related to Spirit King once he's back being a human
About how he died, remember the Alex's POV's chapter? Esther-sama, or should i say Ira-sama said that the Titan Gods gave nature a will and Undine is one of them. I remember how Alex mentions that there's several blue skinned women helping Makoto.
Ira-sama also taught Alex :
- An existence that ruled over them, the Great Spirits
- The Spirit King apparently shows up from within the most experienced believers of the Titan Gods, in an Apostle that offers their flesh.
Idk why they need the Apostle's body, but i think they shared the Nature's will, their own will with the soul of the Apostle. That could explains why Undine and other water spirits helped Makoto in the fight against Alex.
So far, Makoto used charm magic by the help of Furiae-san to attract Undine. I know his first encounter with her was Undine showing up, but remember how Makoto said "I would do anything" and right after that, Undine shows up? I think Undine take that as Makoto would want to offer his body to be the Spirit King someday. Idk what makes her thought that way though. Maybe she just wants a new King to serve
Makoto used sacrifice magic, he offered his live to save Furiae and defeat Alex, it was already mentioned previously, that's why the goddess don't wanted that Makoto transformed even if it was a emergency. The fact that Makoto died prove that Alex almost surely also died considering that he couldn't defeat, stop or escape, the only other alternative is that he was saved by a god.

Don't problem, I'm commenting here to remember other that fact.
Ignore Spirit state for result of Alex's fate. Spirit King form was for immortality(def) and cc lockdown(trapped in the ocean of water dragons w/o light). For offence there was The Dagger(Alex mentioned it himself, plus check earlier chaps for dagger's info) with God Killer as one of many traits.
Makoto was an immortal enemy with aoe cc lock and weapon negating divine immortality. Alex was 'eventually' to be killed

Yeah they really do somehow. Like brother and sister, husband and wife, or an old married couple, or almost like two Makoto talking to each other. Makoto and Ira have really good chemistry with each other.

Ira-sama resurrected Makoto? I wonder if that's what she wants to do out of her own consideration or because higher gods tell her to. Hearing her way of speaking to Makoto, it seems Janet-san is true after all that Makoto is kinda close to Ira-sama.

Well, Althena forgave Makoto for being the Apostle of Noah despite Noah saying that Althena is a strict goddess, so she might be kinder than expected.
For Makoto and Ira, they are like troublesome siblings. Ira would be the "perfect" little sister and Makoto the "normal" and "average" older brother. Now that I think about it, they are kinda cute when they interact. I would say that they are like Taihei and Umaru.
