His mentor the Fire Hero Olga, the Earth Hero, the Wood Hero, the Iron Hero, and the brave warriors of the forest…not one of them returned.
Hero Abel who survived the life or death struggle against the Demon Lord, the White Sage, and the Magic Archer Johnny had to hide themselves in Laberintos in order to avoid the pursuit of the Black Knight Cain.
The legendary Holy Dragon was at the depths of Laberintos…
“This picture book isn’t too detailed. There’s no detailed explanation…” (Makoto)
“What are you talking about? The difference is written clearly.” (Ira)

I tilted my head.
The biggest difference is that the Immortal King has not been defeated.
On the other hand, the Earth Hero-san and the Wood Hero-san are still alive.
That’s why, in terms of differences, it would be the fact that the Fire Hero Olga-san has died but the Immortal King has not been defeated yet.
I thought that I should be the one representing here.

The grudge of having his parent figure -the Fire Hero- killed, the grudge of having her mother eaten in front of her eyes, the grudge of having his family he led be killed, the grudge of having her family of Ancient Dragons killed… That connected to them defeating the Great Demon Lord…” (Ira)
The Destiny Goddess Ira-sama peeked at me.
“Could it be that…saving them…was a bad thing?” (Makoto)

“Seems so. I think it is okay to tell them that you are from the future, but…the fact that you are a believer of the same God as Cain should be kept a secret from Hero Abel. Abel has quite the grudge on the killer of his parent figure after all.” (Ira)

I currently have a good relationship with Hero Abel.
There’s no need to create a crack in there myself.

That smile of hers was like that of a Goddess…right, she is one.
“I will continue doing my best.” (Makoto)
“Don’t get too impatient, okay? Your comrades are worrying about you. By the way, do you have something you want?” (Ira)
“Something I want?” (Makoto)
“Right. My power is currently low, so I can’t do anything impressive, but…we are pushing so much on you. I want to fulfill whatever it is you want if it is within my power.” (Ira)

“It may not have been explained the best, but it is as I told you…

It is not like I was certain, but I did think that we might end…

There may have been cases when I would begrudge my own lack of strength, but…

Regarding the status which is kind of bugged... there's a 'lot' of possibilities.
Not mentioning which ones not mentioned in the chapter, might be some spoiler so 'pfft'. (I didn't read ahead.)
-The mentioned ones which are, Noah getting involved or an effect of the time-leap.
-Or something we've missed and other things which we still haven't thought about.

Esther is is still small even though she's supposed to be in her late teens compared to the future Esther that is younger. I can see why Janet thought these two were flirting in their own world together.
That explanation is a tad bit too convenient like Ira answered the question, but at the same time didn't. It doesn't explain how Momo from the future probably lied about meeting Makoto in the past. Makoto can now drag the legendary party to fight Iblis with blackmail and love if they lack motivation. :D
First, Future Ester and Past Ester are different people... maybe future Ester is a descendant named for her ancestor and maybe not. But there is no reason they'd have the same age per say. Just like Abel's (dead) teacher was named Olga - the Fire Country's hero in the future is named Olga. And then Ira is merely descending in the body of both girls named Ester.
As for Momo likely lying, my theory is the changes rippling through time. That the first time Makoto met her (from his perspective at least), she had no memory of Makoto. But after that, she seemed to favor him way too much... makes me think she remembered him and knew he'd eventually go to the past. But she said nothing - probably under orders to hide it.
And I think the changing statues among other things are clues/signs (that Ira missed) of the changing reality rippling in. Something I think she might have noticed sooner had she not spent all her time descended. But Makoto alone wasn't affected by the changes. Because his strings of fate stretched to the the past? RPG Player? I'm not sure. But I'm sure there was a decent bit of foreshadowing in the story.
Yeah these two Esther's are likely different people. I only meant that their genes are not kind toward the curvy department down the line. Side effect of being Ira's oracle? :D
I agree with you there. The time paradox does not really explain or solve the Abel and Anna being the same person. I doubt whether Ira could see Makoto's fate if he's one of their believers. One of the reasons why Furiae made Makoto her guardian knight was to see if she could see his fate, but alas RPG prevailed and she still could not see it. Ira would not be able to see it either, but both Furiae and Ira can see the fates of people around Makoto.

Alright, now that there's an official statements from Ira, I can stop pretending and talked a bit.

In other words, in this story, time is fluid. To be honest this sounds like author trying to avoid inconsistency and plot holes if it appears later, but let's go with it.
Theorizing time! So the "actual" past definitely existed, and the coming of Makoto and demon agents (or knowledge) indeed changes the past.
I'm still holding to the theory that if time were indeed fluid, [RPG Player] skill will be the one who solidifies it, making permanent change in the timeline. Therefore, actual/original history of the hero Abel maybe doesn't lead to the present timeline where Makoto got summoned, but the changed timeline does. Just like branching flowchart path if you ever played JRPG or Visual Novel.

RPG Player would be so OP then. Facepalm on those who said that it was useless when compared to Sa-san’s or Fuji-yan’s player skill. If it makes someone immune to precognition even for Goddesses, that’s pretty damn OP for me. It begs the question on who made the skill now to me.
I mean, if it were so, it definitely match the theme too, making flowchart choice progression like dialogue choice in RPG
Also, I'm suspicious with all of the player skills. All of them seems to have part of divine abilities/characteristic (body/aura for Sa-san, mind reading for Fuji-yan)
As for the one who made it, maybe Noah had a hand in it? Her retconned dialogue in LN seems like she trust Makoto more than in the WN. Either that, or the world system is independent of and actually alive and making the skills, or the skills made from an accident. The skills going far beyond the capability it's supposed to is also a choice.
Would she create a skill which would make a person immune to charm, even hers? There’s also the fact that RPG player seem to affect fate itself which makes it easy to avoid or create new futures. That’s pretty OP for an imprisoned Goddess to make. It is possible that she did help create it but my suspicions lie on Naia or maybe even other Titan Gods.
That's why I said only "a hand" implying that she only helps, not entirely by her alone.
About Naia though.......makes me remembers one important thing. the moon acted as a gate to other worlds right? How about different pantheon of gods?
That is true. We might see more pantheons after Noah is released and if she hypothetically declares war on Jupiter. Makoto needs to reach God-rank level mage or at least become a God himself to be able to help Noah in his mission. Spirit King transformation is banned and not enough to kill fully fledged Goddesses. Meeting other Gods is almost certain at that point.

I know he said he'd do his best to return to the future, but changing the future to an unrecognizable degree doesn't seem like it'd help in the slightest.
Might even cause a lot of relationship changes.
Like, he already saved all of Johnny's family, which means even bigger proliferation, and unintended definitely more people related to each other because of the Johnny genes.
The Goddesses said not to worry about that. Ira will probably adjust the history to match that of present so that it won’t change the future of the past timeline.
This is the ponkotsu goddess we're talking about, right?
This is probably why there are inconsistencies on the history IF it turned out the timeline was repeating itself.
This time travel business is a bit confusing. I assumed it was a "stable time loop" where any changes he has already been included in the future. However, it sounds like there were actually dramatic changes.
Especially considering how there were people in the future that already know Makoko and according to the side stories, all the girls seem to be moving based on an unchanged timeline.
