I was honestly worried about the possibility of a riot occurring because of the defeat of the Fire Hero, but the people of the Fire Country were celebrating the victory of Sa-san as normal.

At the place Sa-san pointed at, in the place where the announcer was till now, there’s a man in black robe standing there. He was holding a voice amplifier magic tool.
The people around including the announcer were taking distance from the sudden intruder.
Security must apprehend him at once!

Fire Country Knights were already surrounding him.
Ah, the one who shouted just now was the Enforcement Knight that came together with us before in the Snake Church subjugation.
The black robed man grinned widely.

The first thing General Tariska did was apologize.
“This is not the time to be talking leisurely though. We will do something about the crisis of the Fire Country, so you people hurry and evacuate. Sasaki Aya-dono is currently in a state where she has obtained the right to become the Hero of the Fire Country, so there’s no need for her to stay here.” (Tariska)
The knight closeby gestured with his hand as if saying they will be guiding us.
Looks like people from other countries should be running away at once.

Hey RPG Player is saying what we're all thinking. None of that saving them because it's what the good guys do. No, save them so those fucks can owe Makoto. Also there is again no default 'right' option with the arrow so basically it's saying that it'd be perfectly OK to abandon them all as Isaac tries to pull a Sephiroth.
Speaking of Isaac, is this the real him or one of his puppets? I mean would a puppet yell at the people to unhand him when Isaac could just cut the signal to the body instead? But at the same time Isaac would have to be real stupid to personally show up where a meteor is about to strike.
Anyways I kinda want Makoto to stop the meteor himself instead of letting Sa-san help. That General is already acting like Sa-san is their hero just so the Fire Country can get the credit for stopping the meteor. If Makoto orders Sa-san to stand back and he stops the meteor himself or with the help of Lucy who isn't a hero of the Fire Country then that would be very satisfying since the Fire Country would be forced to acknowledge that they were saved by people that aren't from their country or their designated heroes and one of them they had even been badmouthing.
Looking at how Makoto fights all this time, i'm sure it would involves someone but the highlight would be Makoto as always. It's like he is the General, and that someone he involved in is his subordinates. So yeah what i'm pointing out is Makoto would involves someone but people think that it's Makoto himself who did it
I think the arrow on the on the popup, is because he has a knee-jerk reaction to most of these questions. So if there's an arrow, it means that his choice was obvious, but like you said he could go either way with this one.
That's probably not Isaac, he doesn't care if his puppet gets caught, or killed, he's probably just upset that they tackled him before he finished his evil monologue. In the Wood country he even made the puppet sacrifice itself, to power an artifact, but after he had already gloated and glared at Makoto.
Why do i feel that Makoto will be grinning at the end of this Arc due to him the Fire Country Kowtow to him in an unexpectedly...
Also, Why do i feel Olga will be the next one to be the victim of the lewd sync of Makoto....
No way. If Olga fell in love with Makoto, I will drop this novel. Instead, I would like the Great Sage to sync with Makoto. I wonder what would happen.
Olga should be a match for Geralt as they both love fighting.
Nooo~ We already got Lucy to fill in the fire mage role and Sa-san to fill the brawler role. We don't need somebody redundant to both roles.
Olga is more of a power generator though, she converts all the Fire energy, and heat, into power she can use. So he might still have a use for a synchro with her.
What if her proficiency isn't even close to half of Makoto's proficiency though. It would make Makoto still superior in controlling it compared to Olga.
Now that I think about it, there is something that Olga can do.
It's not a lewd sync (fortunately) but if she has the power to convert heat into power, then that implies the heat energy in her vicinity would fall as she absorbs it. In which case, she could be the super air conditioner that helps deal with the fire around an object entering from orbit so Takki can get close to do his thing.
In my opinion though, i'm fine with Makoto syncs with Olga. But it isn't necessary, just like tacos1 said. He already got Lucy for someone with fire affinity. Her mana pool is outstanding already after all, and his pact with her that could summon fire spirits in its territory at will. It would be a waste to sync with Olga instead of with Lucy
I seriously have no idea whether the Flame Hero is supposed to be a serious character, a rival character, or a joke character now...
Anyways, I wonder how Makoto's gonna destroy/erase the meteor.

Makoto destroying the meteor is, of course sounds as ridiculous as it is. Personally i would like that to happens too, but my logic is saying that they would abandon this country.
But if i were to think, the Goddesses gave us a hint that what Makoto proposing is basically suicide so i guess it has something to do with him contacting the meteor. Maybe he'll summon Undine and make gigantic something out of water to contain that meteor, idk.
Well Zygatra said in a comment further down that it's apparently supposed to be translated as 'comet' and not 'meteor' and if that's true then that opens up some possibilities. A comet is mostly ice so Makoto could theoretically control it or if for some reason or another he can't then he could synch with Lucy to use fire magic to melt the comet. A meteor on the other hand is made of rock and metal so obviously he can't control it and I think if it got bombarded with fire magic it would just break it up in many pieces that would still rain down on them.
That definitely makes sense. But if that's really the case, what's bugging my mind is how did Makoto knew that it would be a comet. The snake church planned it all secretly that even the Goddesses doesn't know.
