The one in front of me is a beaten up mage with trash-like mana.
A guy like this is a Hero like me?
It pisses me off.

I cut open a Water Dragon that was close by.
At the time when close to a hundred Water Dragons appeared, I got a bit flustered.
But, in the end, it is just Water Magic.
For a Hero like me, the attack power of Water Magic is close to zero.
To top it off, there’s that damn shitty Light Hero here.
I will make your friend into a beaten up rag!
I punch away a Water Dragon in front of me.
“Is that all you have?! How stupid!” (Geralt)
I get closer to him to finish him off.
Different from before, the Water Hero’s expressions have gotten more bountiful.
He is quickly warping his expression in pain.
“Then, I will be using a big spell now.” (Makoto)
That guy said something weird.
“Huh?” (Geralt)
What is he saying?
That Superior Magic of just now was your trump card, ain’t it?
Don’t go bluffing.
The Water Country’s Hero raises his right hand.
The next instant, a giant mass of water appears with him as the center.
*Zuzuzuzuzuzu*
The mass of water sways as it changes shape and increases in size seemingly endlessly.
“?!”
What?
Generating water?
The water increased to a point where it felt as if it could swallow the training field.
“Uo!” “What’s with this amount of water?!” “This is bad!” “Are you telling me all of this is water?!” “This is water generation?!” “That’s impossible! On this scale?!” “Wait, Makoto?!” “Lucy-san, step back!” “Kyaaa!” “Run!” “Get away, you will get swallowed!” “Makoto-san, that’s amazing…”
I hear annoying voices from the trash around.
That’s an impressive water generation amount.
It is a water amount that feels like it would be enough to swallow the Highland Castle, but what of it?
I take distance from the gigantic mass of water.
The water mass increased in amount more and more, and now, it even felt as if it could surpass that of the Highland Castle.
This is stupid. I’m just gonna blow it all away.

“[Sun Magic: [Thunderbolt].” (Geralt)
The Superior Magic I shot hits the water mass. But…
“Tch!” (Geralt)
Maybe because of the amount of water, there’s no signs of the magic working at all.
The water continued increasing even now.
So I have no choice but to cut it down directly, huh.
“Sun Magic: [Thunder Sword]!” (Geralt)
I take a stance with my sword, and activate a Sword Magic Skill.
The Skill that the legendary Savior Abel used.
With this, I can finish this stupid fight.
My wooden sword shines golden, and changes into a weapon that is comparable to Magic Swords.
With this, it doesn’t matter what weapon is in my hand.
I am going to cut you down together with your pathetic magic.
“Ryosuke-sama?! Is it okay to not stop this?” (Noel)
I can see Noel shaking the shoulder of the Light Hero bastard.
…It annoys me.
“It is okay. If it is Takatsuki-kun.” (Sakurai)
I could hear the Light Hero bastard’s voice.
What is he trusting in that trash mage?

Even though I shouldn’t be able to hear a voice inside the water, for some reason, his voice reached my ears.

The voice…rang in my ears.

I heard the sound of a bone somewhere snapping.

I could only grind my teeth in the water.

The screen changes.
What was projected there was…

Limbs bend, twisted, and crushed in ways impossible for a human; the Lightning Hero Geralt.
Eh? Wait! Wait a bit!

“…H-He is dead?” (Makoto)
I felt my face pale.
No way.
I killed someone…
“Oh, our beloved ruler, Light Magic: [Revive].” (Noel)
At that moment, the beautiful voice of Princess Noel resonates.
The Lightning Hero who was wrapped in holy light was returning to how it was.
“Isn’t it great that Princess Noel was close by? There’s only a few users of the Saint Rank Magic [Revive] in the continent, you know?” (Noah)

“The massive amount of water that you generated like crazy. It was an amount that could swallow the Highland Castle after all. If left just like that, it would have overflowed to the city, and many people would have been washed by it.” (Noah)

In the screen, there’s a mage with a white robe and white hair showing…Great Sage-sama?
The Great Sage-sama is controlling the water I made?
“Tch…bringing trouble to me.”
I heard the voice of the Great Sage-sama.
Uwaah, she is in a bad mood.
The strongest mage of the continent was muttering something as she dealt with the aftermath.
After a while, all the water was washed smoothly away.
“Thank you very much, Great Sage-sama.” (Lucy)
Lucy said her thanks in my stead.
“When that Spirit User wakes up, tell him to meet me”, leaving those words, she disappeared with Teleport.

“By the way, why do you think the Holy Gods hate Spirit Magic?” (Noah-sama)
Noah-sama asks.
“Hm? Why the sudden question?” (Makoto)
The topic changed?
“It hasn’t. The damage Spirit Magic brings is big when it rampages. It is exactly what happened with you, Makoto.” (Noah)
“…Damage.” (Makoto)
True. If Great Sage-sama wasn’t there, I would have caused a large scale flood.
“That’s why the Soul Books that the Church issues and the Holy Gods manage has a limit of 99 in proficiency, and they made it look like it doesn’t grow any further than that. They are making it so that you won’t see Spirits. The reason why the public believes Spirit Magic isn’t a popular magic route is because that idea was spread by the Holy God Churches.” (Noah)

No wonder there were so extremely few books regarding Spirit Magic.
But I do understand the Church.

Eh?! It was 160 when I checked it just recently though.
It went up by that much?
Wow, isn’t this a hidden method to obtain Proficiency?!
“You may not remember, Makoto, but you were shooting powerful spells consecutively. Ah, but stop using Anger with Spirit Magic in the near future. You might end up dragging your allies in it if you mess up.” (Noah)

Thinking about the possibility of dragging Sa-san and Lucy into it gives me chills.
This is a forbidden move.
“It is about time to wake up.” (Noah)
“…I’m sorry for worrying you so much.” (Makoto)
Noah-sama still had her troubled smile.
She kissed me on the cheek like before.
“Uhm…” (Makoto)
“This time was a failure, but don’t let it bring you down. See ya~.” (Noah)
She waves her hand and disappears.
Was she trying to console me?

At their back there’s Prince Leonard and Princess Sofia with worried expressions.
I glanced at Princess Noel who was a few steps further away.
“Geralt, open your eyes.” (Noel)

The Lightning Hero was by the side of Princess Noel.
Looks like he has recovered too.
“You have done something really problematic. Apologize to Makoto-sama.” (Noel)
“…Shut up.” (Geralt)
A haughty attitude as always.
I can’t help but respect that in its own way.
Just that, it bothered me a bit, so I tried asking Prince Leonard who was close by.
“Prince Leonard, why is the Lightning Hero speaking to Princess Noel in that tone? Isn’t Princess Noel from a higher standing?” (Makoto)

There was no pressure in that figure of his compared to the first time I met him.
The back of the retreating Geralt-san had sorrow seeping out of it.

It is not like I was certain, but I did think that we might end…

There may have been cases when I would begrudge my own lack of strength, but…

Damn. Childhood friend NTR sucks. Well, that depends on how Princess Noel feels though.
...And? Are we supposed to excuse Geralt's shitty behavior last chapter with this though? Sympathy, sure, but he's still the asshole for lashing out at unrelated people, bullying Leon-chan, pretty explicit attempted murder, and, from what I read into it, trying to get Sa-san and Lucy as property.
I love how we were all theorizing what monster Takki would summon with water and it turns out-nah, he's just gonna summon, like...the ocean. 5000 meters isn't the deepest you can go, I don't think, but it's certainly enough to fuck up even a superhuman it seems.
...Damn. I guess this means the Leviathan guarding Noah is gonna be really tough if it lives at that level. Maybe we can at least gimp it by dragging it to shore so the pressure is extremely low by its standards?
And he summons the ocean. I didn’t think of it like that but yeah he did just that. Good call!
Damn I am getting hyped to see how they would overcome the leviathan.
Although at this point Taki-dono is a glass cannon. He seriously needs to find a way to better survive. Upping evasion and dodge seems good but it seems to have its limits and drawbacks as shown in this fight and needs to either find a way of compensating or being able to tank more hits.
Surely there's some kind of uber defensive Water spell? Like maybe a water bubble that absorbs all blunt attacks and the like.
Isn’t that what this spell sort of did? No matter what attacks were thrown at it it just absorbed them and well... crushed them.
Kind of reminds me of another Makoto’s insane way of dealing with attacks
Also can you imagine Taki-dono moving around in his sphere of uber defense? I just have an image of King Harlequin from Nanatsu No Taizai reclining on his spirit spear chastifoil (pillow form) as it shoots out attacks continuously.
Given Taki-dono’s inclination towards ninja/assassin job wouldn’t an advanced form of evade/dodge be a better form of defence. You know “Mist-form” his body becomes mist itself. Any attacks simply passes through him and he is as a phantom untouchable yet able to end you. Or would something like Nurarihyon No Mago’s Kyoka Suigetsu be better? Creating illusions whilst hiding your presence and making others attack the phantom images Whilst having no idea where you are be a better fit?
Well he could always just do the reverse and make the water move away from the Leviathan to get rid of the pressure and let it explosively decompress.
So something similar to the water pressure converter used by Eelai in Battle Angel Alita? Just a sheet of water moving at fantastically high speeds to deflect or destroy anything that comes into contact with it. You could do foam to insulate or mist to diffuse light attacks. IMO water has the best or at least broadest defensive options compared to the other elements.
That is assuming that the creature will respond in the same way. Many animals are adapted for deep sea pressures by having no internal air pockets/spaces/being super dense such that there is nothing that can be crushed.
Removing the pressure Doesn’t cause them to suddenly explode, not unless there was a pressurised air pocket or similar inside them. Such as what happens with the bends, diffused nitrogen in the blood essentially becomes bubbles in the blood stream Or tissues which further expand.
But this is only a problem if there is excess nitrogen dissolved in the blood. A creature existing at the bottom of the ocean is unlikely to have nitrogen dissolved in the blood. Therefore isn’t likely to suffer from the bends.
(This is of course applying real world physics and logic to a fantasy world)
Personally I think the creating a negative space around the head of the leviathan (essentially a vacuum where no oxygen can readily diffuse) would be the equivalent of chocking/drowning it. Provided it still needs oxygen to live. If not... any one have any other ideas?

Must admit I did not anticipate this new spell but I love it! Looking at it it matches his anger far more than just freezing cold or scalding boiling water.
This is the demon lord crush grip! I mean I have this image of Taki-dono creating an orb of water around the enemy as he stands with a hand upraised, fingers loosely spread open and then starts increasing the pressure as he slowly closes his fist.
So the whole eradication of spirit magic was to prevent berserk states, interesting indeed and perfectly understandable. But I somehow get the feeling that normally reaching even 99 proficiency is super hard to do.
Noah-kamisama please explain things to Taki-dono earlier. Oh and please, stop trying to get ahead of Lucy, Sa-san and Sofia! You are already ahead of them!
I must say, although it is interesting from a literary standpoint to see development and background added to characters to make them more fleshed out I still don’t like this Gertrash.
So Taki-dono has now learnt how to super train his magic proficiency. He went up by a 125% wow! Noah-kamisama you do realise he is going to try to train like this from now on right? He will call on the spirits to make a huge mass of water dragons and then make them dance around... the time when Taki-dono reaches 999 proficiency does not seem far off
Well, Noah-sama and Lucy and like the rest of the world literally says to Makoto that after Proficiency reached 50, it will be very hard to increase it even by 1 point so yeah, reaching 99 Proficiency could be just a dream for almost all of the people there. I would also say that calling a Magic Proficiency of 200 is unimaginable isn't an exaggeration
Joy would be the emotion to make that happen too. Just having fun grinding and playing with water dragons.
Yup! Can totally imagine Taki-dono having utter joy in playing with water dragons the size of inter city freight trains and the spirits becoming even happier and joyful and making every Rh inf bigger and more excitable which makes Taki-dono have even more fun which makes the spirits have more fun which leads into an infinite feedback loop after which Super-Scary-Great-Sage-Loli comes in and forbids his use of spirit magic without calm mind in effect ever again.
Now that you mention it, "Force Crush" is the go-to for when someone has disappointed you for the last time.

I feel really bad for Geralt after this chapter.
Well, the last 3 chapters is somewhat of a rollercoaster of emotion. Your childhood stolen away just because there's someone better than you is really hurting your feeling a lot. But still, Geralt releases his emotion in a very very wrong way. I'm sure if Geralt wanted to talk to Sakurai-kun properly about this, Sakura-kun would be more than welcome to do so, seeing his character that even he trusted Makoto who's considered as the weakest to help him defeat the Taboo dragon.
Also, seeing how Noah-sama acts toward Makoto lately, i always imagine how she would hug him or maybe even kiss him in the mouth by the time Makoto saved her and how his harem would react to it ahahah
Also i just realised.
Makoto, you surely knows that concentrated water pressure could cut literally anything right? With your proficiency reached insane amount, it should be a child play to you so please get a glimpse of it soon so you can create a literal swarm of deadly bullets for your lacks of physical strength :<

Using the deap sea pressure is really cool and out of the box for a fantasy setting.
The great nobles are sure to pay attention to him now. x) This demonstration of power should help the Water Kingdom to raise its standing among the other kingdoms. ^^
Really hope Sakurai is as pure as he seems and the worry at the back of my mind is for nothing.
If it is a skill that help seeing through peoples status and their alignement (good or evil), it could explain his level of trust as a fighting power, and the first invitation would be him being a goody two shoes wanting to help the weakest of the group.
Maybe he got a skill at the begining in addition of [Sun Hero] was something derived from his social skills to see trough people?
