Not a Chapter – A new story

Hey guys, Reigokai here!

I will be keeping this short. For the people that don’t know, World Reformation has ended! Like, a real end.

And so, what naturally comes after an end, is obviously, a beginning.

I have been reading a good number of stories, and I gotta say, there was one that I was planning on translating once I ended WR, but as expected, it was taken. I am happy and at the same time sad; a conflicting feeling.

However, I found another story that I smell something good coming from it. All I will say is that the name of the main character is Makoto and he has been through many otherworld summons which I found hilarious. I can’t say much about the story yet since I myself am beginning to read it, but it has definitely piqued my interest.

I will go in depth if I am to choose that one.

Though, this decision is not set in stone, so if you guys have recommendations, I would definitely love to read them!

Just to put it out there, I won’t be taking up any light novel projects since I wouldn’t want to have any legal issues that might come with it. Hence, I will only be taking web novels.

So, come at me! I am eagerly waiting for what you guys have to offer! :DDD

And if the next world I will be translating interests you, I would love it if you were to accompany us in that journey!

Onwards to a new Isekai!

welp... if its suggestion like i would like it to be Sayonara Ryuusei Konichiwa Jinsei

    • Isn't the second the infamous novel where the protagonist gets skills by sucking milk breast? From the link seems that someone continues to translate it.

  • ...anybody else start thinking about the Hero Freeter from Hero BBS, when Reigo described this new MC?

    • Here here!

Man. I miss Hero BBS. There's so much fun you could have with that sort of setting. Heck, it might as well be it's own narrative universe that random people on a real message board could collaborate on.

A Hero, an Isekai, and...that's about it. Even demon lords are optional. There is so much more to mess around with using those materials.

  • All these people out here throwing out suggestions but you know what the real story we'd like to hear is?
How regiokai can constantly churn out such an abundant amount of decent translations ever 3/4 days! Please tell us how you do it! I'd love to hear how you go about your translation process too, if you're okay with sharing your "trade secrets."

    • Well, it is a pretty simple story.

I liked anime and noticed that I absorbed japanese pretty well, so I challenged myself in learning it. Then, I dug deeper into it, transitioning to mangas, light novels, and lastly, web novels. That's where I saw room for myself and said 'hey, I want to try practicing my japanese and english here'. And so, I went blind.
I didn't read tsuki beforehand or anything, I went blindfolded on my first endeavour as a translator.
I just wanted to try my hand at being in the translator side together with those people I respect.

There, I bonded with the readers and felt true joy from simply sharing a story with others as I read their comments as the story went on.

So, how I manage to translate at my pace? Enjoy it.

I may come out of the job tired, but I sit in front of the computer and translate, and I have fun doing it.
As I have said before, I began translation as a whim. What truly maintained me into translation for these 3 or so years has been the support from the readers and the joy I have found in it.
That’s why, I am thankful for it.

Also, a trade secret? Hmm, none.

The speed comes naturally with the time. The first time I began translating, I pushed myself real hard to translate unbelievable amounts of chapters and it eventually burned me out for a bit.
But now, whenever I watch anime or read a novel, my brain has gotten so used to translating japanese, it just automatically does it. So that’s part of it.

In summary, it is fun :D

      • Thanks for the response!

I was expecting a more technical explanation but it's good to see the amount of passion behind each and every one of your releases. As cliche as it is, passion and drive really are just about the biggest factors for these kind of things and the sheer quantity of your translations is testament to that fact. I don't think I can recall any others that even comes close.
Keep up the good work, we all appreciate what you do!

        Also, face reveal when??! 😀

      • You decided to start something as an interest, pushed yourself to the extreme, and then got so into it that you eventually started treating the harsh workload as just a hobby.

Well...that would certainly explain your extraordinary luck for grabbing a decent long-running story like TsukiMichi on your first try.

  • Title: the strategist knows everything
Status : 2 arcs were translated before it was dropped
    Type : war , strategy , politics , romance

  • Ascendance of a Bookworm
there's already some1 translating it but with 1 chap/week till 600+ who knows when its goin to finish :( maybe help each other out??

  • Hey Reigokai, if you can wanna take the torch in doing this one?
Jashin wo Kutta Shoujo wa Isekai wo Kyuusaishimasu
    http://narou-tl.com/0toc-jwkswiwk-wn-alphapolis/

This is somewhat similar to Tsuki as the Bug Goddess in Tsuki hates Makoto because he is ugly in her eyes and tries to fuck his fate after being summoned, here in Jashin wo Kutta Shoujo yes it also has a Bug of a Goddess and hates our heroine Akane because she is a real beauty without her glasses and the Bug got jelly and totally fucks her life after being summoned.

    Here's the summary:
Shimizu Akane, the main character who was summoned with her whole class. She alone was despised by the Goddess, even looking at her status all her ability was mediocre. She only had two skills, 「Incompetence」 and 「Free Dream」, nothing else was there even if you reached the magic section. Using the Goddess’s abhor as a motivation, she follows the path to calamity, resulting in confronting the Evil God. Either she dies in obscurity or pursue a path to happiness, she tries out her fate.

I already translated Ch.1 Part 1 - Part 7(½) so you can try reading it to test the water, but I'll be glad if you are the one who pick up the torch in this wonderful novel.

    • BTW, this is a free wn in alphapolis so no need to pay and I heard that you don't know how to copy the text on alphapolis, it is quite easy just open the sourcecode of the chapter page and you can easily copy them.

If you wan't then I can supply the raw text on this if you pick this up.
