Hundreds of monsters attacked Makoto-san at once at the orders of the Demon Lord.
Makoto-san was standing spaced out with him still grabbing the arm of Esther-san.
Johnny-san, Volkh-san, and I who saw this couldn’t move.
‘Makoto-san!’…I tried to shout this, but then I noticed…
I-I can’t speak?!
Not only that.
I can’t move my body.
(What’s happening?!) (Anna)
I got flustered and tried to at least move a finger, but it didn’t move, as if it were fixed in place.
…No, they were moving slowly.
My movements were slow, as if I were buried in sand.
“Die! Hero!”

A number of the fast monsters attacked Makoto-san.
At the moment when the sharp claws and fangs were about to reach him…the movements of the monsters stopped in midair completely.

Makoto-san smiled faintly.

The Demon Lord was agitated by the conversation of Makoto-san and Esther-san.

Now thats amazing.. Stopping time eh, too bad he cant reverse time on the wound, i guess we will get to know if the person inside coffin in the future great sage palace is makoto or not very soon
that probably him but he probably alive in it and sleeping in it and waiting that everything is fine in the future to wake up and to avoid meeting himself to avoid some paradox thing or it Anna sleeping in it so she could meet Makoto again after all Abel was said to have leave to find someone or it was just an excuse so she could live as Anna, after all Noel look like Anna so either is possible
I don’t think it’s him because then they could have released him right after he traveled to the past, and it’s already confirmed that makoto has been gone for months back in the present, besides it’s already confirmed that some of “Abel’s” archivements are makoto’s and Abel disappears at the end of the story leaving “Anna” all alone to fund the sun country, so I think makoto managed to time travel and Anna managed the sun country for a while until it became able to take care of itself then she followed makoto the only way she could: by freezing herself until makoto finish his time travelling
@Felipe Well I also believe it more likely to be Anna and with reasoning it make more sense too, but don't forget that from what we know, the past seem to affect the present gradually not instantly like Abel statue for example, so you could say that both the past and present seem to be connect someway, so returning from my example that Makoto is in the coffin like he can't be awaken because the "past" him as not fallen asleep in the coffin, and it also mentioned by Ira that Makoto have already greatly change the past more than what he should have done(?) and it cannot be helped because Iblis is also trying to do it, or it just Ira that make Makoto achievement to Abel, which is totally possible. After all, for all we know right now it could Johnny who somehow develop a crush on Makoto and I won't be surprise either, heck it could be Cain too, and that one could be cool on it on way, but let not forget that Ira can't send back Makoto into the present too so it can be pretty much both, but I also believe it more likely to be Anna.

Dude, how I didn't think of this before, synchro, if he synchro with a god he can learn what anima is, how the power of a god really work, because he himself is using it. It's the perfect answer as to how he could make a step forward, it's amaizing.
