So how did Abel/Anna continued his/her lineage? I'm starting to have impure thoughts about this ¬‿¬
So it really is a Ranma 1/2 sort of situation. What are the odds that somehow or another, Anna's human male half gets separated as a soul and that soul ends up reincarnating as Sakurai thus making him Abel's reincarnation like Highland claims he is? I mean we all know how much Sakurai trusts Makoto to an almost unnatural degree. So what if Anna's Abel half goes through the circles of reincarnation until he encounters Makoto and the deep trust he got from his time working with Makoto in the past got etched to the soul and that's why Sakurai is so believing in Makoto. It might also explain why Sakurai ended up getting the Light Hero skill because surely Althena hasn't just been checking out every dude to see which one she thinks is the most handsome. Like maybe it's a fate thing because Sakurai was Abel and he just also happened to look good to Althena who apparently also originally gave Abel the Light Hero skill because of looks. Well Althena might not even be aware that Abel and Anna are the same person since they mentioned a few chapters back that the holy gods couldn't observe the world much during Iblis' reign.
Anyways I guess Anna is an easy heroine. She's already acting fidgety and blushing while asking Makoto to call her Anna.
Meanwhile I get the feeling that Anna's deceased human father had relatives and they're the ones who found Highland. Also they'll probably turn out to be just as much pieces of shit as most of the modern Highland royalty and nobility and end up claiming Makoto's and Anna's achievements. They'll probably be aware of Anna's condition and they'll be sexist and elitist and claim that all of hers and Makoto's achievements were actually those of a fictional version of Abel that is a separate individual and only having Anna around so they can claim legitimacy for their new kingdom by saying that this fictional Abel is Anna's lover. Hell they may even try to prepare a false Abel and try to forcibly marry Anna to him but she then brings up the excuse of Oracles must remain pure and that ends up being the origin of the human's belief that Oracles must remain pure.
So anyways there's a spring of life? That sounds like a good option for how Makoto can return to the present.
Ah Makoto you airhead gamer brain. He just assembled all of the members of the legendary party and he's already raring to go all Leeroy Jenkins on Iblis initially before then deciding on Bifrons instead.
Oh Mel can use Teleport? Looks like Makoto found a teacher for Momo on teleportation. Uh well that was a bit of an oversight there at the end. Everybody thought that Mel was there to attack the Laberintos settlement.
Anna(Abel) was at the bottom of her depression when Makoto saved her. Similar to Momo, she is quite attached to him mentally. When people are in life-threatening situations, they feel the need to leave descendants behind.
Sakurai could have got the light hero skill because he's also Makoto's childhood friend.
So, we found the one teaching teleport magic to momo?
And what if the sunlight has an influence on the winged folks blood and that's why, at the end of the dark era, Abel will definitely transform in to Anna?

I just love those chapters when Makoto doesn't have the time to care about what is going on around him and just go at his own pace.
Thanks for the chapter. Anna's situation reminds me a bit of the Ran/Run situation from To-Love-Ru. I assume she's going to either split up into a male and a female version in the future, or her feelings for Makoto will permanently lock her into female form. I just hope the author doesn't intend to make Noel Anna's reincarnation, who's going to remember everything about her past life once Makoto returns from the future, because that would quite the messy scenario.
Unlikely. Instead, I think this will eventually become a slight or complete tragedy for Anna. I expect one of the following to occur: 1) Makoto rejects her at the time he prepares to move on to the future, and she moves on (perhaps requesting the goddesses seal her memory of him), or 2) Makoto rejects her, but before leaving her they spend a night together. The latter is more like some Japanese dramas, where the heroine is unable to be with her love interest but is given a night - and sometimes also a resultant child - to remember him by.
I don't see the second as likely, but it would fulfill history which states: 1) after everything was over Abel left, 2) Anna founded the dynasty of the Sun Kingdom, 3) Abel and Anna were lovers, and 4) the dynasty's claim that their first king was the child of Abel and Anna.
On the other hand, it is very clear that the past and the record of the past (history) have quite a divergence, and even excluding that fact dynasties have been known to lie about their founders. So the 4th may have never been true - or have only been true indirectly due to the fact that Anna and Abel were the same person, so a child of one is technically a child of both. And the 3rd can also be true without being physical if Anna has feelings for Makoto [Abel] and those feelings are not immediately rejected (until he leaves). Much like the situation with Makoto's harem in the future.

I guess it can't be expected for the by-default madman to consider how people will perceive things.
So it wasn't a sex reveal, but rather straight up gender bending, huh? That explains the bit about Althena choosing a handsome face. A surprise that the angel race turned out to be a thing. Then I wonder...do "Abel" and "Anna" have different sets of skills and powers?
Then history conveniently separated them...probably to steal Takki's credit, right? Generously, it's Ira correcting the timeline. Less generously, it's the gods not wanting it to get out that a follower if Noah was the true savior, so they created a separate identity in Anna and made it disappear to time.

Anna=Abel is finally confirmed explicitly. This rather explains why Abel disappeared too, regardless of whether or not Makoto's meddling and eventual disappearance had anything to do with it.
And of course, Makoto's train of thought is opaque to outsiders. It doesn't get old seeing people shocked at his insane-seeming leaps of logic.
And so, the age old question comes back to hunt us...
