Stories that say it is an immortal monster that’s immune to all attacks.
Stories that say it is a blasphemous being that can even revive the dead.
Stories that say it has a fearsome appearance that makes any who see it tremble in terror.
There’s a lot of those, but no one knows in detail.
I have also heard that it is an immaterial being that doesn’t have a set form.
But…
“You are the Great Demon Lord?” (Makoto)
Even when hearing what the Calamity Witch said, I asked this to ‘that’ still unconvinced.
It doesn’t have the shape of a person.
Or more like, it doesn’t even have the shape of a living being.
If I had to put it in words, it is a lump of meat floating in the air. A grotesque monster that has the heads, arms, and legs of people, monsters, and insects attached haphazardly.
Rather than calling it a living being, it would make more sense if it were called a work of art in a museum.
But that lump of meat was pulsating, and was certainly alive.
The color of that lump of meat was a mess as if paint buckets of red, blue, and yellow had been splattered all over it. The colors were so loud that just looking at it was tiring my eyes.
The arms attached to the lump of meat were constantly moving like they were tentacles, and it stirred my disgust even further.
The many mouths on it were constantly letting out ‘kiiii…kiiii…’ unpleasant noises.
But what pulled my attention the most were the eyes of varying sizes that were attached everywhere in the lump of meat.
They were shining rainbow, and their gazes were restlessly swimming around.
A number of the eyes were looking here, and I felt goosebumps when our eyes made contact.
(It is kinda…like a Taboo Monster…) (Makoto)
The monsters that were outside Eden were plenty creepy already, but they are cute compared to what’s in front of us.
It is ironic that now a part of me can even agree with what the Moon Queen said about them being cute.
Can we even have a conversation with this?
I was waiting for a response to my question and…
“Oh my!” (Nevia)
The Moon Queen raised her voice in happiness.
“That’s splendid! Only you are not losing your consciousness after seeing Iblis-sama, huh!” (Nevia)
“Eh?” (Makoto)
I felt something off from what she said and looked back.
“Geh.” (Makoto)
My comrades have collapsed.
Anna-san, Momo, and even Mel-san were prostrated.
Oi! Why has even Cain collapsed?!
The only one who is maintaining consciousness with a knee on the ground was Johnny-san.
Looks like it paid off that he didn’t see it directly.

I readied myself thinking we would be attacked in this opportunity, but the Calamity Witch and the Great Demon Lord didn’t do anything.
They are looking down here with smiles.
“Ma…koto…-san…” (Anna)
Anna-san speaks with a pale white face.
Her eyes had no light and were unfocused.
I softly place a hand on her forehead and mutter.
“Sun Magic: [Synchronization].” (Makoto)
I used the Elementary Sun Magic spell Heal.
It has low potency, but using it on her while synchronizing with her made the light in her eyes slowly come back.
“Anna-san, now that you regained consciousness, use sun magic to recover yourself.” (Makoto)
“O-Okay… What will you do Makoto-sa—” (Anna)
Before Anna-san asked me, I stretched my right hand to the front and shot a Water Ball.
The water ball that was the size of a basketball hit right on the face of the Black Knight.
“Hah!” (Cain)
Cain jumped up after being splashed water on him.
“Did I lose consciousness?!” (Cain)
“…Don’t go giving me that…” (Makoto)
Didn’t you say you met it several times already?
I looked down at him coldly and Demon Lord Cain tried to explain flustered.

The Calamity Witch sighed heavily.
“What does that mean?” (Makoto)
I asked, but having seen how Anna-san and the White Dragon-san ended up just a few moments ago, I had an idea of what it was.
I know a similar situation.
It was like the time when everyone saw the figure of Noah-sama at the Great Church in the Sun Country.

The Calamity Witch asks as if poking fun at her.
“Moon Oracle Nevia! Why are you together with someone like this?! What is the Moon Goddess Naia doing?!” (Ira)
“Fufufu, the Moon Goddess-sama doesn’t interfere with the Mortal Realm at all. You should know that, right, Destiny Goddess-sama?” (Nevia)
The shoulders of Anna-san shook at the shout of the Destiny Goddess.
I rubbed her back lightly to calm her down.
“Why are you so agitated here, Ira-sama?” (Makoto)
“Takatsuki Makoto…” (Ira)
Ira-sama’s voice carried hesitation.
No, what’s weird is that Ira-sama’s voice is even reaching here in the first place.
The voice of the Divine Realm doesn’t reach the Mortal Realm.
That’s why I communicate with Ira-sama through the magic necklace I got from her.

I once again look at the lump of meat that is floating in the air.
I could hardly see that thing that has arm shaped tentacles undulating as a holy being.

I couldn’t just believe the words of the Great Demon Lord, so I asked the Goddess, but she didn’t answer.

The Great Demon Lord floated till he was right in front of me.
Different from the lump of meat at the throne, I couldn’t feel any pressure from this form.
The boy with a beautiful appearance as if sculpted said this cheerfully.
“Takatsuki Makoto, how about I give you half of the world if you become my ally?” (Iblis)
“Wa?! Are you serious, Iblis-sama?!” (Nevia)
The Calamity Witch at the side raised her voice in shock.
“““Eh?”””
Anna-san and the others opened their mouths wide.
I was a bit surprised too.
“Quite generous there.” (Makoto)
“You are worth that much. There’s no need to return to being the Country Designated Hero of a weak country in the future. You are a ruler of this world.” (Iblis)
The clear voice of the Great Demon Lord resonated sweetly in my ears.

To be honest, I've been waiting for Makoto to make another sacrifice for more life. The question is would he make the sacrifice to Eir or to Noah?

I thought Ira have repented from using people like a tool she did before, but i was gravely mistaken.
At first, i hated her so much because of her methods were always only benefits herself. She only ever think of herself. All of her country exist solely so that she can get divinity, and she only thought of them as tool too.. she never considered other people, even though all the gods have been very considerate of her.
But after she started to open up to makoto, i thought for sure she's starting to change... So i too, just like makoto, started to believe in her and like her.. I even thought she should be in makoto's harem later on...
And now this... So this whole time she knew how to get makoto into the future, and she knows that the past already changed so much, yet she still so set to make it all makoto's responsibilities, never telling him what he wanted to know the most. Why? Just because it's inconvenient for her. So that's why she wanted makoto to get into relationship with people from that time, because she never have any intention to let makoto get back to his original era.
In other words, from the start until now, she never changed. She tries to use makoto as sacrificial pawn to make her job easier.
Now among all of the characters in this series, i can say to sure, i hate her the most.
But if that what author intended the readers to feels, then he did freaking good job there. He makes me hate a character, then melt my hate into love, then make me hate her back, with even more hate than before.
I hope Destiny Goddess Ira would just die now, or at least have some great retribution from all other gods..
Well, it was definitely mean from her to not say anything about other uses of Divinity. However, it doesn't seem Makoto minds it that much and the readers here don't seem really offended by it.
Of course, it wouldn't change the fact that Ira deceived Makoto.
Hmmm. In the first place, Makoto already knew what he was sacrificing himself to do and that the possibility of getting stuck on the past is higher than returning. Anyways, even if Ira had told Makoto that he could use the Divinity she accidentally gave him to make himself immortal, he would have failed his whole mission there. She didn’t say anything not just because it would inconvience her but because there are other factors to consider that take precedence.
His number one reason to be there is to save Hero Abel and defeat the Great Demon Lord as it was written in history. Should he make himself immortal, I am fairly sure that they won’t stand a chance against Iblis who is actually a real god. And remember, Holy Gods are forbidden in directly interfering with the lives of mortals and if she gave more Divinity to him, there’s a guaranteed worse punishment than she has now. So there’s no “legal” way for her to help him and if he used the Divinity he has for other purposes, he’ll fail his mission which takes priority over his trip back home which is why it is much better to not just say anything that will add to the chaos.
I know that.. i understand what you guys are trying to get across me. But makoto resolved and risked himself into not being able to go back to the future, so why not at least believe in him? Not giving him any choices just shows how Ira had never really believed makoto since the beginning. This is exactly why makoto's faith in Noah is so strong, its not because Noah is one of the strongest goddess comparable to athena, its not because he's the only believer of noah, but because noah believed in him, enough to let him choose his own choices.
Yes its true its his role to save savior abel, or maybe even destroy Iblis (in which actually not really his responsibility, because its supposed to be abel's), BUT he should at least given choices of what he should and can do. And who does ira think she is? Makoto is not even her apostle, he is just doing her a favor, not because he's obligated to follow her instructions. And remember, ira makes soooo much mistakes in her decision, even in 1000 years in the future, and it was makoto who always clean it up her shyts, she knows this, and she decided to do the same shyt in 1000 in the past too now.. she thinks her plan is perfect, and when makoto did something she didn't ask him, she would scold him, wtf?
And about the divinity.. if we think back about it, makoto could just save that divinity and used it after everything is over. That way, even if ira is punished, the mission is already completed and ira have no real need to instruct makoto again. See, this is why i said ira is a selfish b*tch.. she doesn't want to be punished, yet she sacrificed other people apostle like they're tool, without giving them any choices at all..
And what? So if ira tell makoto that choice, future will be changed? The past already changed from original timeline, the only way to match it to the original timeline would be winning the war. There's this saying, "the winner decide the history".. as long as they won, makoto and co can just alter history written in the books. This also happened in our, real world. Many of history book in countries that gained independent through negotiation actually have something changed in their history, and people didnt know about it, or even believe when researcher tries to reveal it.
She wants makoto to sacrifice himself, yet she didnt give her any choice. Sure makoto is okay with it, but remember that makoto been using Clear Mind, his emotions are suppressed. Even iblis seems to understand how its feels to be betrayed, even tho he himself should be a scumbag who deceived noah. Remember that when Anna heard about the whole situation of makoto, she feels so sad for him, that she thinks her sadness is nothing in comparison of makoto's loneliness. And this very person, who only able to do everything because of his Clear Mind skills, would definitely be broken without that skills, just like any other person.
Ira knows this, and thats why she could say nothing back when makoto asked her about the real usage of divinity.
And like i said, ira been trying to hook makoto with people from the past, using various excuses. Which actually make sense if she doesn't want makoto to go back to the future at all.. why would she want an unknown factors who she can't see the future of, come back to the future and alive, of become immortal? She doesn't like anything she can't see the future. Its hindrance to her.
Its all about choices.
Ira can't see makoto's future, so she purposely doesn't tell makoto knows anything she doesn't want him to know.
She purposely narrow down makoto's choice into only one choice, so that she can at least predict the outcome even without being able to see the future.
Its all about choices. And ira never gave makoto any choices. Remember, every single holy goddess who have met makoto gave him choices, and noah even gave him freedom. Just do whatever he wants, she cares but she trusted in his judgement.
Ira? None. Not at all. Never did.
That's not what we call as being careful or cautious, its what we called as being SELFISH..
Gods/Goddesses but Noah are always portrayed manipulative in this story. I don't know why people keep thinking but that, and ship Makoto with one of the goddesses (Noah is the exception).
Shame, we don't get loli Iblis.
