    So finally they managed to defeat beast demon lords huh, i wonder what will happen if they defeat it here before it bestow his son his power in the future.
    And the Dragon King finally came on their rescue (well those demon lord now is a bunch of disappointment)

    • You have to remember that in the original time-line that they only powered up after wanting revenge from their fallen comrades. They're a bit more light-hearted because of Makoto since those in Labarotos never died and they easily defeated Lord Biffon's. Right now, they're doing a 2 v 5 again demon's stronger than Lord Biffon's and even Anna knows that.

      They had such a tough time against him and would have failed if not for Makoto and Ira being there; they're not giving that same leeway (granted Makoto is still there but he fainted eventually after the 1 fight). They have 4-5 more demons left to compete against. Not only that, most of Anna's powers come from sunlight and without Makoto clearing them up, she's not as powerful to handle 5 demons at once. Heck, even Makoto's friend, Sakurai, had issues against the new beast king after one fight and you're asking Anna to do more than him.

    • In this timeline, Anna is a faint hearted maiden, even more so the impact of Makoto's presence to her psyche, there's no shred of manliness left in her. Also, the scale of battle is just too high, Makoto basically power level her, at the same time, speedrunning the game. Spirit Magic at the hands of a master like Makoto is already dreadful, even more so when divinity is being used as well. Noah really gave cheat codes to Makoto.

    • I think Anna is filling the correct role. The 'history' never mentions Anna and Abel being the same person, so it feels like Makoto is filling in the Abel role (for the history books). And honestly, I suspect the goddesses will write those books anyways. At least that is the feeling I am getting from how everything is turning out.

      • Ira says there is the original history. And Abel being Anna still fits the bill, with how he disappeared. But the line of "there's someone waiting for me" really could only be Makoto's. So does the parsdox happen? It's confusing really.
        At which point does the history converges?

        For now my theory is that ever since Makoto got summoned, everything afterwards is a mixed history, and the original history stopped at the point of Makoto's summoning. But the original history does exist prior to the summoning. Where Anna is Abel and is the ancestor of Noel. Then once Makoto arrives, the timeline becomes that of the one with Makoto's involvement

        • I...hadn't thought of that. That actually makes a lot of sense.

          Up until now, I had to assume that there were three timelines: One without Takatsuki, one with, and the one we're currently seeing that somehow isn't the same as the second one.

          The reason for this is the clear signs of Takki's existence in the past before time travel was ever brought up-to the point where there were clear theories. If history slowly but steadily started getting muddled since his original arrival, then that reduces things down to merely the original history and the modified one.

        • Right, Makoto's mere presence is affecting history right away, so I think even after Makoto went back to the past, the history continues for the others as usual, because that timeline is already the one modified by Makoto. Everything we've seen in the story is Makoto's timeline.

    • Flannette, I'd say it's easier for Sakurai because he has a lot of backing as well as the Sun country behind him. Sakurai has(had?) Makoto as well as his classmates and has not lost anyone close to him other than his one battle with the beast king.

      Anna lost her only mentor during a time of turmoil with no friends other than the other 2 hero's (who don't get to travel with her much). As I mention, things are easier with Makoto around because in the original time-line, she had to face things on her own after her mentor died and after Cain destroyed most of the people at the Labaratos dungeon that she had no choice.

      It's like playing a game with friends all at the same level (Sakurai) vs being carried by Makoto (Anna). I mean, when the demons used the dark clouds to cut Sakurai's power, he wanted to give up after his battle in the dark sphere and would have if not for Makoto.

      For Sakurai, it was known he's the savior reincarnated but with Anna, she's the light hero (we all know this) but she does not know she's will be the savior even though she's the light hero.

    He has to smile to make everyone realize from the bottom of their heart that he is completely insane.

    • Trying to guess who it would be. It probably won't translate to a difference 1,000 years down the line, but it could put the water country on top for a time.

  • Hmmm. I woke up late these past days cause I haven’t been expecting Reigokai to upload everyday without breaks. This time, I made sure to check.

    So Anna and Makoto vs 5 Demon Lords. Well the outcome is quite predictable given that he has more than 10 Undines beside him, all of which likes him, and the Divinity of the Ira-chan.

    1 Demon Lord down, 2 more to go. So Anna’s strength is on par with a demigod now? I don’t really think and it’s probably an overexaggeration since we have seen a real demigod he was much more stronger than that. Add to that the fact the she was reinforced by Makoto’s magnifying glass so it wasn’t really because of her. I’d say she’s at Demon Lord level though.

    The Fire Seraph, Michael was really cool too. If Sakurai’s is Uriel, doesn’t that mean that Anna’s Seraph is stronger since Michael is the strongest angel in the Bible? I think that Sakurai’s skill is only stronger since it heals him and that hasn’t happen to Anna yet. Her output spells are much stronger though, probably because of her Heavenly Winged Folk blood.

    And Bifrons wasn’t actually the strongest Demon Lord yet wtf. He supposedly makes the 5 Demon Lords look cute and he has been described to be as strong as the Great Demon Lord because “Abel” wasn’t able to kill him. I wonder what happened.

    This will probably freeze everyone, won’t it? Aokiji’s Ice Age? Yoooh, our boi started out with piercing eyeballs, weak waterballs, and slipping the enemy with ice and now he be commiting mass murder with his spells. And notice that this spell is the only one that has God rank added to it? And people still say that his proficiency is 999 or 999.4, 999.5... If God rank spells don’t increase your proficiency by much, I’d be even more surprised. He’s definitely more than a thousand now.

    • Bifrons was the strongest magic user I think, since he was one of the oldest, and specialized in magic.

    • Bifrons was definitely one of the strongest Demon Lords. I think the Sea King and Beast King are the only ones between him and Iblis. I think back in the future war against the Demons that Noel said the Dragon King was the only one actually able to beat Iblis. Since he's still alive in the future I suppose Makoto isn't gonna kill him.

    • In retrospect, Bifrons was interesting. He's the one that tries resurrecting in the future, and it could be on account of being an undead, or perhaps having followers versed in magic to do it, or just plain Abel being unable to use the full extent of his awakened power since that's when it first happened.

      Or, if we're taking Takki's involvement into account, possibly because he wasn't conscious to secure the kill.

      I am hoping we get clarification on his proficiency after this. It usually gets a major jump after a big crazy use, and god rank magic certainly ups the ante. Either it finally breaks 4 digits, or there's going to be some kind of conversation with Ira where Takki finally remembers to ask what that's all about.

        It can’t be appraised even by Ira and she has no explanations for it aside from it probably being caused by time travelling.

        I honestly believe that the author already indirectly answered this question when Dia was asked whether Makoto was still growing. There are other proofs too such as him about to use the God Rank spell, Cocytus. That obviously needs a high proficiency user and there’s no way he hasn’t got above 999 yet.

        And I think that as Ira explained, Soul Book is incapable of measuring the stats of Gods, and that the reason why this is happening to Makoto is he is beginning to reach God level status.

        This is the same problem he got when his stat got stuck in 99, only this time, the number can’t get any higher because the Soul Book is incapable of displaying his proficiency. He has basically reached the limits of his measuring device but that doesn’t mean his proficiency is not going up. So the Soul Book is never going to break the four digit mark because it wasn’t made to do that. The proficiency of Makoto will probably only be revealed if a God themselves can appraise it.

        • I believe that, in that case, Ira was referring to Takki's status as a semi-god with anima in his system plus "Infinite Life and Infinite Flesh". I don't think his proficiency was mentioned so much as his stats?

          Rather, he's still in that state when he checks with Dia later and his Soul Book still reads 999 instead of the [Unknown]. You would think that the proficiency would say [Unknown] as well if it passed the limit instead of just stopping at the cap, especially considering his special status at the moment.

          That said, it would definitely makes sense for a Soul Book to not be designed for 4 digits and so it can't read higher than that. That's why I'd like for him to inquire with Ira, a goddess with strong ties to the Soul Book to boot, about it.
          At the very least, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the final push needed to reach that level if it isn't there already.

        • Nah, that conversation happened the first time they met in the past, way before the fight with Bifrons happened. Ira herself said that his stats, and since status includes proficiency, it implies that it can’t also be appraised as stated in chapter 248.

          There’s a big difference in using Appraisal and Soul Book. Appraisal requires a user to have a skill and Soul Book is just something that everybody has. This makes Soul Book to be more personal and it therefore won’t be affected nor corrupted by issues such as time travelling for example. For example, Makoto instead found a loophole that he could just use his Soul Book to check his status.

          I can confirm it myself with the Soul Book after all.

          To put it simply, the problem is that Appraisal displays “Unknown” for reasons we don’t know (Ira says time travelling may have had an effect but it’s still not clear) while Soul Book reached its limit in showing the owner’s information. This is what I meant when I think the author indirectly answered that already when Dia answered his question with absolute certainty that his proficiency was growing or in other words, “there’s no doubt Our King is getting stronger, you know?”

          For example, assuming that his proficiency is 1200, it’s not like he doesn’t have the proficiency of 1200 just because the Soul Book can’t display it nor can the Appraisal Skill do so too. He’s already at that level, only that the measuring devices and skills can’t measure him.

          An incredible analogy has already been made. Imagine a car with a speedometer that can’t display higher speeds because it was not made for that. That the same case with Makoto. And then imagine another radar speed gun that doesn’t work. That’s the case with trying to Appraise him.

        • In the end, the Soul Book is a tool used by the Holy Gods, and likely just a piece of it is being carried by otherworlders, since we don't hear anything about other people using theirs. So it probably has its limits, on top of it being info given out by Ira, so it could be limited on that end too.

        • Aaaaah. I get it now. A chapter number really helps.
          I forgot about this conversation with Ira and the fact that his status is bugged to Appraisal. Though she specifically said the "Letters of Your Status", which could be as simple as [Mana: 2] being read as [%4n@: 2]. Not to mention it's not everything that got bugged, since the number of partners he's had was as clear as day. That's semantic analysis though, since the bottom line is that Appraisal no longer gives accurate information.

          It certainly might include his proficiency, which would be evidence in support of him breaking the limits at that point. And consequentially, you could argue that the Soul Book also capped at 999 from the same high value. Though it's kinda weird to think that a goddess's appraisal skill isn't as effective as an individual's Soul Book-as in, a god's skill shouldn't break before a mortal's Soul Book. Maybe Althena can give us her input with a higher-power Appraisal.
          More likely, there's something odd about the being that is Takatsuki Makoto and now Appraisal as a system doesn't work while the Soul Book system does. If I were to take a guess myself, it would have something to do with how [RPG Player] places his soul outside the world looking in and so people can't appraise him through the avatar that is his body anymore.

          I understand the idea the speedometer analogy gave just fine. It might be correct too. The sticking point I always had was that we didn't know for sure. Dia confirmed that Takki was getting stronger, yes. Does that necessarily translate to proficiency increasing? Not...really? It could, but it could also be any other of a Water Spirit's weird perspective on "getting stronger".
