I hurriedly tighten my face.
The White Dragon-sama can read my face in an instant.

I thought I knew Makoto-san.
I believed in the strength of Makoto-san.
Because I believed in it, I thought that was good enough.
I didn’t know he was shaving off his lifespan while protecting me…
Is he protecting me because of the oracle? Or is there some other objective?

He was sleeping peacefully.
A peaceful expression.
A sleeping posture that doesn’t twitch one bit.
Looking at that sleeping face of his for some reason…made my heart race a bit.

So I guess he's always shaving off his lifespan to use Dia and Undine. I assumed that he only lost lifespan when he summoned the other Undines back in Laberintos because he's bringing them in from some other location but I guess that isn't the case. Maybe once he actually reaches 1000 in proficiency he'll be able to control Great Spirits or at least Dia and her sisters without losing lifespan. I mean surely there must be more to 1000 proficiency other than letting you control and sync with Great Spirits.
Mel is kinda reminding me of Tio when she is serious (AKA Super Tio) by being able to point out that Makoto is rushing and that it is affecting his lifespan before given sound advice. Also since she says she is subservient to the one who defeats her I'm getting the feeling that she's gonna interpret that as Makoto being her husband. Hopefully she doesn't turn out to be a pervert masochist like Tio >.>
So Anna's job will be to become Makoto's stopper since Noah and the rest of his harem aren't around to stop him now. And of course she's fallen for him. That damn Airheaded Gigolo Shameless Pole Hero.
So lifespan has been confirmed as well as Anna's growing affection for Makoto, shes following him to the future 100%. I'm hoping once Anna starts acting as Makoto's stopper then he'll take a moment to think about doing things to change the future beyond just trying to follow the story of Abel

This is getting interesting. We're seeing Anna's PoV a bit and now she knows about the price he's paying for using Dia and her sisters. It's right about time she stops being completely passive and starts actively working with him and this is a good way for her to get motivated. Plus at the end we can see she's really starting to go on the harem route too. So we can see how it'll go, following that little misunderstanding about him seeking revenge, she'll give her all and step into the hero role, eventually win over the demons only for him to reveal the truth that he was in a hurry to beat Iblis so that he could focus on returning to the present (since there's no way he's planning to give up on that). At which point, she'll refuse to be left behind~
We also got a bit of insight into Makoto. While all the girls have paid some part in being his 'stopper', the biggest role was Noa who was always there watching over him and warning him when he was being too reckless, explaining the things he needed to understand but was too thoughtless to think deeply on and the one who had the single most influence on him from the start. His current behaviour can be considered him going a bit out of control due lacking her presence. Someone has to fill the role when she isn't around or he's really going to kill himself. I can totally imagine him going "Whoops, was that all the lifespan i had left? I thought I had a bit more to spare........." then dies. It'd be a sad way to end the series.
