I pass by the plaza in front of the guild where everyone is being noisy at, and arrive at the public graveyard of Makkaren.
Furiae-san seems to like graveyards…
Reminds me of the time I first met her.
Her light color one piece and long black hair was shining within the moonlight and it made for an illusory sight.
It is kinda hard to talk to her, so I was watching her state from the shadows of a tree.

This chapter was so good! Furi has had one hell of a heavy past huh but now she is in the next immortal hero group. Seriously the only people I think would have a better chance of all surviving any and all fights would be Waka-sama and his four followers.
Other than that I was laughing out loud several times from this chapter!
Sa-san is utterly brutal! And flag is raised for Tsui, a larvae/babi form of a monster! Can’t wait to see what Tsui grows up to become.
Furi‘s reactions where priceless! Seriously she is possibly the least troublesome one out of the entire group. And a lot less troublesome than Takki-dono! I mean come on he is the apostle of the god who had a follower that literally massacres ALL the other heroes 1,000 years ago!
I honestly did not expect Furi to react the way she did, and Sofia sure does recover quickly. Saying that why does it smell like Eir and Noah have entered some sort of evil pact? They seem to both be aiming for the Old Gods to return now... *evil smile* this should be fun.
Oh and Takki-dono’s line to get Furi to stay! Hahahaha I feel so much empathy for him!
And then we have Mary causing trouble and ruckus, resulting in Sofia unleashing the Artic Winds of Disapproval.

Unlike Lucy, she has common sense. Unlike Sa-san, she has priorities. Unlike Takatsuki Makoto, she's sane.
So sad, you can't rely on Sofia's sanity either, because Eir can just body snatch her at any moment, and make a move on Makoto. He can't even say anything, or it will be a national incident, and hurt Sofia.
That would be the play, wouldn't it? Eir just takes her body and helps seduce Takki in her Oracle's place.
Sophia is in much the same position as Furiae, really. She's so used to her rigid and proper life, the chaotic party is...well, a party.
I think it is just that Eir takes the long view. Even if Noah is freed and gains many worshippers, every other old deity would need to have their seals found, one by one, examined to see how to break them, and then whatever conditions are necessary would need to be fulfilled. This is something that would likely take centuries if not longer - more than enough time for the current deities to deal with the situation.
And each old deity released would be greatly reduced in power due to having no worshippers in the present time - while their potential foes have millions of worshippers. That is a massive disadvantage. Sure, they can spend centuries gaining worshippers, but to prevent those worshippers from being massacred due to following an 'evil god', they would have to require their worshippers to not be antagonistic toward those of the other gods. And even that would not prevent some prejudice (just look at the followers of the Moon goddess, who *is* a member of the current pantheon).
After likely thousands of years of living together in (relative) peace while each old deity is found, freed, and restored to their former level of power, it may be hard to restart the war. Also, by then the worshippers may view the 'old' deity as merely additional member of the current pantheon rather than members of a rival pantheon. After all, each deity only appeared one by one over centuries and - again - only gained any noticeable power over centuries that followed their appearance.
Noah may not realize all this because she is - for a goddess - very young and inexperienced, having been sealed shortly after she came into existence. Also, Noah's ultimate goal is to free herself and her family. If that can be done without replacing the current pantheon, I think she could accept that.
Also, the simple fact is that Makoto is remarkably powerful. The last time one of Noah's apostles was this powerful he joined the demons - resulting in the death of many heroes. It could be said that (at some of) the current deities have learned from that experience. This time around they noticed the apostle while he was still young and impressionable, and they have given him a better impression of the current deities - to the point that he now engaged to one of their oracles and is working against the snake cult and the demon king rather than with them. If the cost of all but guaranteeing that the demon king is defeated is simply allowing the current apostle of Noah to work with them and allow him to work toward eventually freeing Noah, that is a small price to pay. And, well, it also means they are able to easily keep a very close eye on Noah's apostle - just in case.
As far as I remember, Eir (& now the Moon Goddess) are the only god(esses) that know of Makoto's identy as the follower of the zero follower goddess. Great Sage-sama also knows but only cares about his blood staying virgin. Or from the last feeding, loliconish.

If nothing else it seems redundant. His Guardian Knight status already functions as a skill bridge without requiring the romantic involvement. He may still need to foster trust as a guardian though. It might unlock some moon magic for him. She's still using those "I expect you to die and be forgotten" labels for him and he did sorta-kinda recklessly shave off lifespan for an attack recently.

A core trait of Makoto's is that he has communication problems. Him having a huge harem works against that in my opinion.

That said, it's hard to deny the flags are there, and that makes me sad. I really want it to stay as is with it mainly being Takki helping her open up as a person.

As far as I see it right now it could go either way. Right now, for the first time ever thanks to Makoto, Furi has a place and group she can belong to. A group that isn’t going to judge her on her origins and isn’t going to be afraid of her.
As for Makoto himself, I think the attractive part for her will be his complete immunity to her abilities. Even Sakurai during the day wasn’t immune to her charm, that kind of kills any chance of a relationship in my opinion if you can’t be 100% sure the guy isn’t in his right mind. Makoto on the other hand is completely immune so it’s something she would never have to worry about the genuineness of his actions.
Plus we’ve seen already that Furi does not get along with Sakurai’s harem especially Noel. She would never be able to fit in over there. Sakurai would have to completely abandon highland to pursue a relationship with her and given what we know of his character, he takes the responsibilities he takes up seriously so he wouldn’t do that.
I feel like ultimately how Furi’s feelings will develop will depend more on Sakurai’s future actions.
What do you mean? All you have to do to be sure someone is in his right mind is to...not charm him. She could tell Takki was constantly keeping charm active too, I'm pretty sure she can notice a charm when she sees one as the Oracle of the goddess of charms.
For now, it mostly hinges on how Sakurai can struggle against his circumstance. He certainly has no romantic attachment to his supposed wives from the looks of it. If he has to break things off with them to get with Furiae, the main obstacle is a political one.
To be honest her relationship with Sakurai is not that solid and realistic, if Sakurai wants her he'd have to actually let go of everyone in his harem as they don't won't get along with Furi. Also I don't think the author is pushing it, maybe he is taking it slowly until he build up more trust.
What's more is Sakurai is not immune to her charm while Makoto is, thats the plus for them tbh.
How is his lack of immunity a problem? People keep saying this as if she can't control it and has it burning full force at all times.
I do prefer them as platonic if I am honest, it is a nice shake up of things and, as mentioned, allows Takki-dono to just relax.
We seriously need more platonic inter-gender relationships! Bring the platonic!

Thanks for the chapter and all i can say is that Makoto, i love you~ way to change the mood with your level 0 conversational skills~ also while i knew everyones secret, having it plainly spoken and having a normal resident of thst world properly react really shows how absurd our boy truly is.... anyway I'll be honest, i also kinda thought she only called sakurai by name to show her affection for him so the true reason was kinda surprising but at the same time expected.... anyway with this furiaes route has begun! Yay, now i wonder if the cat will play a major role later on~ probably not but one can dream~ anyway cant wait to find out what happens next

Rather than choose the world over her, Sakurai just suffers the burden of responsibility too much. He's...a bit immature and can't figure out his personal morality and put into action yet, but his heart is in the right place. For now, it's just circumstance holding him back.
Pretty much. Furiae wanted to hear those words from someone very badly, especially someone in her lonely circumstances. Although, she might be a little bit tsun to admit it openly. She likes the party of Makoto and friends. She likes the easy-going and peaceful city of Makkaren. Also these new experiences that she never experienced before like eating those grilled skewers.
The key point here is that Furiae tried to leave for their sake. But its pointless since this party is full of abnormal people anyway. She is also fairly interested in Makoto judging by her POV chapters so far. Sakurai choose the current world order, but Makoto choose to go against the world.
Also that hard to describe expression on Furiae is the key giveaway for me that she started to fall in love. Sophia also made that same expression before she fell for Makoto. Lucy had that very same expression as well.
