Jin and Daena were overwhelmed by the difference in technique, but they fought bravely. Without forgetting about their teamwork with the backlines, they resolutely faced an enemy they couldn’t defeat with their own ability.

A secluded girl like her that hasn’t experienced a battlefield before managed to stay conscious for so long because of the existence of Izumo.
Due to the violent attacks of Haruka that came often, the bodyguards of Iroha -Akashi and Yuduki- as well as Shougetsu had already fallen.
This situation could be called many things.
Wiped out.
Crushing defeat.
There was only one backline magician barely standing, but aside from that, there was no one else left.
The others are still alive –but they are unconscious.
Their life-or-death was already being grasped by Haruka.
“That just a while ago was…the everything of you people but…are you telling me you still have more to show me?” (Haruka)

The ‘that’ Haruka was referring to was the attack that Jin and the others squeezed their all to do.
The few seconds that the frontline gained with their bodies on the line, Amelia used them to cast enhancement magic on the combined element magic of Sif.
Yuno utilized that power to release a big move ‘Red Salamander’.
After shouting: ‘If we can’t bring you down from above, we will break you from below!’, the combined element magic that Sif released had changed the form of the armor of Yuno, Juuki, but this powerful combo technique was deflected by Haruka.
Faced with the retaliation of Haruka, Juuki was completely destroyed and there wasn’t a single person who had the leeway to catch the falling Yuno. There was also no one who could go against the Haruka that summoned mamonos from the sky.
And so, it leads to now.

Even Iroha had chosen to clash blades with her mother.
Izumo wouldn’t allow anyone to dare say that there was no resolve in that.

The attack of Ein-Khalif that she used was vicious. Leaving aside how much Iroha herself was able to control that, it was an attack that showed absolutely no signs of holding back.
Her expression also showed no hesitation. She had a strong face as she viewed the attack towards her mother –without showing a single sign of bitterness.
Izumo was deeply moved by the strong resolve of Iroha.

Without caring about Izumo, Haruka’s naginata leaves a shiny trail as she turns around, but the person easily jumped away from it and stands in the middle of Izumo and Haruka.

The quest has been accomplished.
Even if this was the result of them being made light of, no one died.
‘Ah, with this, I can let go of my consciousness’, is what Izumo thought as his knees hit the ground.
It must have also been the backlash of him exploding with the most anger he have had to feel in his whole life until now.
But, sadly, their Sensei won’t be easy-going.

The state of Haruka made a complete turn.
Bloodthirst that would make you shiver was released in an instant from her whole body.

What's the status for this story? Is it still being translated; it's been like too months? Or has the author dropped the story, cuz I looked around other sites and they have the same amount translated.
1- The author simply hasn't posted any new chapter of the web novel since this one. He is likely currently busy working on the light novel version, and he'll post more web novel chapters when he'll have time.
2- You shouldn't be reading this translation on other sites. Reigokai is the one translating it. Don't read it on sites that simply steal his translation without permission. The least you can do is reading it here and comment to thank him for the translation.
I never said i read it on other sites, I was just checking to see if it was Reigokai who dropped it or if it's the author who dropped it, but I guess it's neither; the author has just been silent. Tbh i haven't even caught up, I am on C270 right now, but with what's happening in the story and the amount of chapters left, I knew the story wasn't finished, but due to the fact that being caught up and not knowing if the story is continuing or dead is such a suckish feeling, I thought i'd investigate first, and if it's dropped then I drop it now with a poor excuse instead of reading up to the current chapter and dropping it unwillingly. But now I know it's ongoing, and the author is just on an unannounced hiatus due to whatever reason, which I have no issues with, so I will just catch up on this story and start reading Reigokai's other story while I wait for this one. Thanks for all the hard work Reigokai.
On a side note, does anyone know if the LN for this story is being translated or not, even if it's being translated professionally, I don't mind buying the volumes.

I find his stupidity really annoying seeing as he can do alot of hardcore analysis, I mean c'mon! He still wondering why and how she nullified Trashmoki's charm when she explicitly explains already what her ability does, I mean it's pretty much like a watered down version of doomsday's get immune to whatever kills it ability.
The issue is, she gain resistance only if it affects life.
If u put it in layman then, it means status debuff that affect HP.
So, it is not dumb.
But more like, whether or not r u reading the chapter while internalizing all the given info.
"charm", even in games, does not affect "life".

Wut? So whether or not you like a series is entirely dependent on the regularity and the speed of its translation and releases, rather than for its qualities?
And so, you find fault in a series and grow to hate it just because you caught up with the raws and that you have to wait for new content?(this applying for you for both Kumo and Tsuki.)
And you find fault in Shield Hero because it has ended, and thus you now hate it?
Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? was never dropped by the translators. Whenever a new chapter comes out, it gets translated either within the same day or the next. The reason for the irregularity in chapter releases of the web novel is because the author is busy writing the light novel version(which has several differences that lead to many things changing). Heck, rather than despise the author for the slow release of new web novel chapters, you should instead thank her to still continue making them instead of only working on the light novel. Plus, the web novel is fully free. She's talked about it in her blog/forum(whatever you call the section of the web novel site in which the author can make blog-like posts to talk with the readers). She's continuing to write it for 2 reasons. 1- Because she wants to finish what she started. 2- For the fans of the web novel.(Since the web version has increasingly bigger differences, due to ripple effects of the smaller changes, and will thus likely have either a different ending or the process toward the ending will be different.)
Considering how your entire problem revolves around you catching up to the latest released chapters, and you not wanting to wait, I highly recommend you to stop reading series that aren't complete. You should instead only go for series that have ended. Then, not only will your "problem" be solved, but maybe you'll also start noticing that the value of a series doesn't lie within the time-frame between its chapter releases.
Oh, and do you not know how book releases work? It's simple. When the author finishes a book, it is released. And then, for the next chapters you have to wait for the following book to be complete written. The only exceptions to that are weekly(/monthly/etc) magazines for comics and manga. Then, there's the case of web novels released online, except that for those, while the chapters are released one at a time (instead of in several at a time over longer periods of time in the form of books), the author is still the one who chooses the frequency of the releases. And as such, not being tied by a company or a contract, if the author has some more urgent IRL stuff to do, or wants to take more time to write a chapter, he/she can do it.
If you think about it, any written work will always be exposed to the world and judged as a complete story proportionately more than it will be as an ongoing narrative.
It's important that it's finished at all, of course, but what's 10, 20, 30 years of slow releases compared to the potential centuries people will judge the final product? Even if it fades into obscurity, we live in an era where information is forever, so it won't truly disappear until the extinction of mankind itself, will it?

Aaah, I have a theory. Haruka's not pissed at Makoto because he slapped Trashmoki around, but because he didn't finish the job.
Think about it - Makoto tenderized Tomoki and Lily took advantage of that to start squeezing hypno juice out of him. As a direct consequence, Haruka's been trapped as the sane woman in the asylum for god knows how long. And she's been made complicit in the insanity because standing out as sane would mean losing a grip on her family. . . Or she's just off her rocker.
I agree that she is a sane person in an insane asylum but by choise. She wants war, but her husband is too soft, so she just pretends to be under trashmokis charm. The reason being is that her husband is still alive, and iroha was able to escape and roam around. Since she got the war she wanted im guessing she is trying to get iroha to go to a "safer" place so she wont get hurt while she goes berserk
I think that she doesn't want a wimp as her husband after she discovered all her abilities but since she was already married she couldn't do anything and she just accepted it until the charm of the hero did something to her head and she decided to end this farce. And we must remember that in a previous chapter it was stated that Iroha wasn't her husband's child so maybe she discovered her love some where but for some reason she wasn't able to divorce and go together with her dear one, maybe because of all the internal struggle in her family and so she thought that this was her best moment to eradicate all those who are against her marring that someone and so she yea maybe she is really blinded by love.
