This is my own residence in the capital of Symphonia.
Lately, I have only been awake for around 2 days of the 7 days in the week.
The reason is because I, as a half vampire, can charge more mana when I am asleep.
It would actually be faster if I were to drink the blood of people though.
I just can’t get myself to drink the blood of others proactively.
…Aside from that person, Makoto-sama.
—A long time has passed since the defeat of the Great Demon Lord, Iblis.
The human Anna-san and the elf Johnny-san are not here anymore.
Close to a thousand years have passed.
Only a limited amount of species can live for that long.
You would have to be an undead like me, or a dragon like the White Dragon Master.
Now that I think about it, I haven’t met the White Dragon Master for more than 500 years already.
She looked after me until I became a competent mage.
In the battle 1,000 years ago, I could only stand there all nervous.
I think I have become stronger than the me of that time.
I am being called the strongest mage of the continent after all.
“I have nothing to teach you now, Little One. From here on, call yourself the White Sage.” (Mel)
When White Dragon Master acknowledged me as a competent mage, she told me this.
The ‘White’ must mean that I am the disciple of White Dragon Master.
It seems like when the disciple of a mage grows competent, they give them something that’s related to themselves.
By the way, the White Dragon Master has become a legend of this continent, the Holy Dragon-sama.
That Ancient Dragon is the daughter of a Demon Lord though…
Of course, Makoto-sama is not here.
He left to the ‘future’.
After defeating the Great Demon Lord, we went around the world, and drove off the Demon Lords around in the blink of an eye.
Moreover, in the free time there was, he would try to clear the Deep Sea Temple.
What’s making that person so hurried?
But well, his attempts would always not go well, and he would always return with his shoulders drooped.
The Black Knight Cain who was always going with him disappeared when Makoto-sama left.
“See ya, Momo. Let’s meet again.” (Makoto)
The voice of Makoto-sama resonates again in my memories.
Those are the words he said to me while he patted my head for the last time.
It has been close to 1,000 years since then.

Lately, I have been seeing that dream often.
The Dark Era where demons and monsters filled the place.
It was scary, but those days I travelled together with Makoto-sama…
They are all nostalgic.
I want to live together with him again.
I want to talk to him.
I want to hear his voice.
…But I can’t.
I feel as if a stone weight was placed on my heart.
Let’s get some outside air.
I exited my residence.

Midwinter night.
This cold would be painful to the skin for humans, but unfortunately, I as an undead don’t feel anything.
The sky shows a full moon.
The reason it is considered an ill omen is because of Queen Nevia from the Moon Country.
She is now called the Calamity Witch.
Now that I think about it, that witch said she planned on reincarnating in the future too.
What a problematic thing.
Even though she already tossed the world about so much in the past.
I had all sorts of emotions in me as I walked around aimlessly in the garden of the Highland Castle.
“Great Sage-sensei?”
I thought no one would be here at this time, but I was spoken to.
“Noel, huh.” (Momo)
Golden hair shining with the light of the stars, and her clear blue eyes.
The beautiful second princess of Highland.

The Sun Oracle that looks like the mirror image of Anna-san.
I can understand why they say she is the reincarnation of the Holy Maiden.
“What brings you here at this hour?” (Momo)
“I couldn’t really sleep and was praying at the Great Church. Anyways…will the Great Demon Lord really resurrect in a few years…? What should I do when that time comes…?” (Noel)
She was looking here uneasy.
—The Great Demon Lord Iblis that ruled the world 1,000 years in the past.
The incident where the Oracles of each country got an oracle at the same time.
Since then, plans have been on the making to oppose the Great Demon Lord with the Sun Country as the center of it.
The Northern Expedition was one such plan.
Until then, there have been troubles between countries every now and then, but right now we are joining hands and preparing ourselves to face the resurrection of the Great Demon Lord.
Even so…
“That’s a talk for the future. Don’t get too caught up in it.” (Momo)
“Okay…” (Noel)
Princess Noel hangs her head down.
She must be anxious.
The Holy Maiden that was in the party of the Savior that saved the world.
The Legendary Hero that founded Highland.
The weight of being called the reincarnation of that must be too much for a girl in her teens.
“Uhm…can you tell me of the heroic deeds of the Savior-sama?” (Noel)
“Again…?” (Momo)
I let out a sigh.
The general public thinks that I have an Inherit Skill that allows me to receive the power and memories of the previous generation Great Sages.
But the reality is that I am the person herself and am an undead.
The highland royalty and a number of nobles know of this.

—A notice of otherworlders appearing had arrived.
The ones who appeared were the second Light Hero after Anna-san, and otherworlders with powerful Skills.
However, Makoto-sama wasn’t within the otherworlders that came to Highland.
But it is okay.
I have heard about it.
How to meet Makoto-sama.

“Uhm…Great Sage-sama, are you really going through the trouble of going to Laberintos?”
“That’s right. Got a problem?” (Momo)
When I -someone who rarely comes out from my residence- went to the castle to tell them what I wanted to do, the King and the Prime Minister frowned.
“No no! There’s no problem at all! But even if a Taboo Dragon has appeared, I don’t think it is a matter that would require the Great Sage-sama herself to go…”
“It is my decision. If you are against it, stop me by force.” (Momo)
I glared at my surroundings, and the nobles and royals avert their gaze.
The ones here know that I am a member of the Savior’s party.
It is the authority that I rarely use, but I will use it when the chance requires.
“P-Pleasure working with you, Great Sage-sama.” (Sakurai)
The current era Light Hero, Sakurai Ryosuke, speaks to me with a nervous countenance.
The Hero that came from a parallel world.

I could tell that he has potential that can exceed Anna-san by a lot.
But as natural from someone that has just come to this world, he doesn’t know how to use his power.
“This will be your first campaign. If you are in trouble, I will help you.” (Momo)

He is a polite good boy.
“Great Sage-sama…are you really going to Laberintos?”
“You are Highland’s strongest fighting force. Please reconsider…”
“I am done talking.” (Momo)
I closed the conversation forcefully, and accompanied the group in the subjugation for the Taboo Dragon that appeared in Laberintos.
—The first time I met you Momo was when you went with the future Light Hero to Laberintos.
The knowledge of the future that Makoto-sama told me about.
I definitely must not let this moment escape.
(I can finally…finally meet him…) (Momo)
I even felt as if my stopped heart was going to move.
And so, the Light Hero-kun splendidly subjugated the Taboo Dragon in Laberintos.
There were some dangerous moments, but it was acceptable as his first campaign.
And then…I found him.

“Excuse the intrusion…”
Black hair, black eyes, and thin.
This single young man that gives a slightly unreliable impression and is a novice adventurer had entered my tent.
(……Aah.) (Momo)
I felt like crying.
I desperately try to stop my voice from coming out.
(We…finally meet.) (Momo)
I asked the Light Hero-kun, who is a friend of his, to call over the otherworlder Takatsuki Makoto.
The person that was judged to have the weakest Stats and Skills within the otherworlders.
Because of that, he wasn’t invited to the Sun Country.
Not only that, all of the countries judged him as someone unworthy and didn’t take him in.
Because of that, he stayed under the care of the Temple, and was on the verge of being forgotten.
This information reached my ears quite a long time after the otherworlders came to this world.
When I heard this report, I doubted whether this person was really that same Makoto-sama.
But…
(Aah… It is Makoto-sama…) (Momo)
There’s no doubt.
It is that same person in my memories.
“Come closer. It is hard to speak from there.” (Momo)
I desperately try to not let my voice tremble here.
The Makoto-sama in my memories was more bold, but the one in front of me seemed to be a bit nervous.

Remembering this, I regained my calm a bit.
And then, I notice there’s two girls at the back of Makoto-sama.

I got a bit irritated there.
When I used Appraisal to check who these women were, I saw that one was a half-demon and the other a lamia monster.
Moreover, the red haired girl is the great-grandchild of Johnny-san!
I can’t let this one go…right~?
I gifted the red haired elf that is terrible at controlling mana with a magic tool, and I gave advice to the lamia girl that seems to not be familiar with the use of her Change Skill.

Or so I say, but as the Great Sage, it was difficult to create that opportunity.
That person, every time I met him, he would get stronger.
He managed to utilize a Great Water Spirit in an instant.
Saved every country he went to.
And even defeated a Demon Lord.
He was becoming the Makoto-sama I know.
And then…Makoto-sama finally travelled 1,000 years to the past.
I am sure he will save the past human me.
And then, I will fall in love with him.

I am now in front of the black coffin deep in my residence.
“Just when…are you going to wake up…?” (Momo)
I mutter powerlessly.
When I opened the coffin, there was Makoto-sama frozen inside with ice magic.
Ice that is being protected by a Great Water Spirit.
I can’t melt it.
“It has already been…1,000 years, you know…?” (Momo)
I touch the ice.
It is hard, inorganic, and doesn’t have any warmth at all.
“When are you waking up…?” (Momo)
No response……or at least that’s how it was supposed to be.
“Shrimp? Are you crying?”
“?!”
A blue skinned beautiful woman suddenly appeared in front of me.
I, as an undead, can’t see Spirits.
But a Great Spirit that’s a mass of mana is a different story.
“Undine…?” (Momo)
“In the short time I haven’t seen you, you now have quite the grandiose appearance.”
It seems she is talking about my Great Sage outfit.
“What’s ‘short’ about this?!” (Momo)
I ended up shouting.
A 1,000 years is ‘short’?!
This is why Spirits who have no sense of time are just…!
No, right now that’s not important.
(That Dia showed up must mean…!!) (Momo)
I hurriedly returned my gaze to the coffin.
“Ah…Aaah…” (Momo)
The ice that didn’t melt for 1,000 years was disappearing without a trace.
My ears picked up the *thump thump* from the palpitations in Makoto-sama’s chest.
Slowly…very slowly, Makoto-sama opened his eyes.

(Takatsuki Makoto, order the Great Water Spirit to freeze you. Then, you can just wake up 1,000 years later.)
The instruction of the Destiny Goddess-sama was truly sloppy.
“Cold Sleep, huh…” (Makoto)
It is not like I didn’t think of this.
Or more like, I thought that was the only way.
What’s scary is that I am defenseless while I am sleeping.
Also, the point of ‘can I properly wake up 1,000 years later?’.
(It is okay! Have Momo-chan watch over you while you are in your cold sleep.) (Ira)
“Have Momo keep watch?” (Makoto)
“Me what…?” (Momo)
The Great Sage-sama made an anxious look at my mutter.
“Momo, I leave myself to you!” (Makoto)
“Eh, y-yes! I don’t understand that well, but leave it to me!” (Momo)
She responded energetically.
She is a good girl…
I will explain to her properly later.
“What should I do to wake up 1,000 years later?” (Makoto)

“Momo won’t do?” (Makoto)
(Momo-chan won’t be able to undo the spell of the Great Water Spirit. It is either you wake up yourself, or have the Great Water Spirit wake you up.) (Ira)

“Dia, can you wake me up 1,000 years in the future?” (Makoto)
“I don’t have a sense of time, so I am not that confident… Is 1,000 years around the amount of time the Divine Realm War happened?” (Dia)

Then…the day I was going to Cold Sleep.
There’s Johnny-san and Mel-san obviously, Volkh-san, Julietta-san, and the people of Laberintos seeing me off.
Momo was in a permanent state of tears, and it made me feel extremely bad.
And Anna-san is…angry.
“It would have been fine to stay together for a bit longer…” (Anna)
She said this with puffed cheeks.
But I have told her for a long time already that I would be going back to the future.
She has also accepted it.
She saw me off with a smile at the end.
“Well then, I will be going.” (Makoto)
I give my farewells to everyone of the past.
Anna-san, who had recovered from her bad mood, approached me.
“Makoto-san… Do you remember the promise?” (Anna)

Saying this, I was sent off by Anna-san.
That sad smile and the crying face of Momo were my last memories.

A dark ceiling spread before me.
The fires of candles were waving at the corner of my vision.
“…Uuuh…”
I could hear the crying of someone.
It was from right by my side.
Someone is closeby.
“…Ma…koto…-sama…”
A small white haired girl.
But it is not the Momo of the past that I remember.
It is the Great Sage that saw me off in the Great Church of Highland.
But the way she was burying her face on my chest and trembling slightly really is that very same Momo.
She was waiting for me.
All this time, for 1,000 years.
My body feels heavy.
Even opening my mouth was a chore.
I have been sleeping for 1,000 years.
Of course that would be the case.
But I had to say it.
I have to convey my gratitude.
“Momo…I am back.” (Makoto)
I somehow manage to squeeze out words.
“I have been waiting…always…” (Momo)
The voice of Momo was raspy.
“Thanks.” (Makoto)
I move my heavy arm and gently pat Momo’s head.
And in this way, I managed to return to 1,000 years in the future…to the present.
■Author Comment (10th arc afterword):
And so, this is the end of the 10th Arc of the Zero Believer’s Goddess.
How was it?
The amount of words for this arc are enough that even one book wouldn’t be enough, but I lost my sense of limit in the 10th arc, and stuffed in what I wanted to write.
So I say, but at first it was a plot where they defeated the Demon Lords one by one, so I trimmed it quite a lot.
In the middle I got anxious thinking ‘Can I finish writing this?’ and somehow managed to make the past peaceful.
From here on, I will be giving details about a number of characters of the 10th Arc.

10th Arc’s Main Heroine.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that I wrote the 10th Arc because I wanted to write the Epilogue of the 10th Arc.
But the heroine power of Anna-san increased by the latter half and she was being pushed away.
But Momo will have a spotlight in the last arc, so it should be okay.
The present has a lot of rival heroines, so it might be tough though.

Damn this chapter is so SWEET AND WHOLESOME. The author never failed to surprise me. To think that he finally uses Great Sage Perspective to end this chapter. What a great way to deliver an epilogue. Good Job Oseki-sensei.
On a side note, I’m really happy to be able to see Great Sage Perspective. This chapter is also heartbreaking since we finally know about momo’s feelings while waiting for her dearest person for an entire 1000 years alone.
And so after reading this chapter there’s some point that still keeps bugging me about
First, the fact that the Great Sage in the main/current timeline already knows about Makoto before he even arrived in this world.
How the hell she know about him before he even got isekai’ed? Something smells suspicious here.
Could it be that Makoto is actually the real savior? If he was, doesn’t that means he created a time loop?
Unless this wasn’t the first timeline that Makoto got send back to the past. If Abel really managed to defeat Iblis on his own with his party, then the Great sage on the main timeline shouldn’t know about Makoto before he got send back into the past to help Abel.
Maybe the story of Abel being savior before Makoto is actually bullshit? Maybe they intentionally make up the story because they don’t want the timeline to get changed because the information got leaked to Makoto fearing that he could make another choice if he knew that he will get send back to the past.
That means the real story must be still hidden somewhere. Maybe the gods intentionally hide the truth from the human side?
Second, so a time skip was really happening and Makoto did travel the world and defeating the rest of the demon lords that supposed to be defeated in this era, I wonder how many years the time he spent there. Did he also become stronger in the process? Also now we know that the author used one of the most cliche ways to send Makoto back to the present time by deep freezing him
(Tbh, i did expect this kind of method will be used by the author but I stop thinking about this since the author introduced Time Spirit Magic. But looks like he got me now).
What will happen to his mind and lifespan when he’s in the deep freeze state? Did he just asleep like that? i don’t think that just freezing him that also means his lifespan doesn’t get reduced. Maybe that freezing state also froze his own time?
Third, about Makoto parting with Anna. I did expect this kind of result but after reading how the author separated this two, for me, it’s just like the author basically got confused by his own plot, but lets just hope that wasn’t the case. I hope that the author didn’t end up forgetting about her and we finally could see her being happy in the future. I’m still holding my expectation for you Oseki-sensei.
And finally, I can say Goodbye to Anna. I hope we and Makoto will meet you again in the future and fulfill his “Promise” to you.
Anyway, what I can say now that Momo/Great Sage is definitely the Main Heroine of this arc. I’m glad to know that the author makes this arc solely to developing momo to become a proper heroine.
And finally, momo can grasp her happiness now at least and she doesn’t need to hold back. I can’t stop grinning about how will Makoto’s comrade and the highland noble when they heard momo calling Makoto with “-sama” and use a polite tone to him and hearing them holding conversation just like in the past.

Well about Anna, I feel like her promise with Makoto has something to do about Noel being her reincarnation in the future, maybe they will be able to get her memories back, If that’s the case I really hope Noel and Anna manage to stay into separate beings, cause I like the current relationship between Sakurai and Noel, also I don’t like the idea of Makoto doing ntr to Sakurai. Just a theory tho.
Anyways, I’m looking forward the next chapters, Makoto’s reunion with Furiae and the scenes of carnages between all his lovers and Momo being all warm and affectionate with him. This does put a smile on my face!
As for Momo’s memories, we’ve already confirmed changing the past has altered everyone’s memories (except Makoto and probably Ira). The statues are a clear sign of this – “they’ve always been that color”. So now with the twice-altered past, this is what Great Sage’s memories look like. I do kinda think her personality isn’t quite a fierce. I think she did a whole lot more demon killing in the original timeline, going down a much rougher road make her tougher.
But things mostly ended up the same. Ira’s hard work I suppose. There is also the elastic theory on time travel I’ve seen in a some series (like Farscape) where if you can get things close enough to the original, the ultimate outcome will be the same. Such as Makoto (instead of Abel originally) saving Momo, and her ending up as a vampire – the Great Sage. A slight difference in how she met that fate. That part I don’t think was Ira, but just the pull of fate (which does have strings)
Originally I think Great Sage was a regular Vampire, not a Half-Vampire. As a consequence of Makoto cutting her from Bifrons. I think Abel originally freed her and killed Bifrons (who wasn’t at all prepared nor on guard) at the same time. I wonder what the benefit/consequence of that is.
And I can’t wait to see everyone FLIP when they see Makoto – who should be gone to the past forever. And does he ever have a story to tell… such as the history/legends they know being all wrong. I’m assuming Makoto told Momo and Anna to tell the original tale, to keep history the same. And probably had told Momo to lie even to his past self.
Dont think this is an alternate timeline, or that memories were altered more then before he went back in time. My only piece of evidence is the coffin. Before Makoto entered Momo’s ice house while she was sleeping. Instead of waking her up, he explored finding the coffin. Momo said he was free to open it, but be would need to take responsibility for doing so. Makoto chickened out and the story continued on.
So i really do think most of what happened in the past was just rewritten by Ira, Momo and maybe even Anna and Johnny to prevent inconsistencies and other troublesome issues.
@bk3k No, I don’t think so. This chapter showed us about the POV of the great sage Exactly when the other-worlder haven’t come to this world yet. It will be one thing if it’s about the present great sage reminiscing her past before they come but it’s not. That means the memories of Great Sage should be her true memories, not the altered version.
I think, the true timeline is makoto who defeated the Great demon lord iblis and the other demon lord.
Because, if you read calmly this chapter, momo say:

So I think the future story about savior sama is the stories that have some modificatied.
And I think, Ira sama has meesed up his task again… 😂
To think it again, I think the time spirit card has used in the battle with demon lord biffron, when he used synchronisation with Ira sama.
As much as I don’t like Makoto to ntr Sakurai by Noel and Anna being one. I would like Makoto to ntr Iblis by Furi and Nevia being one.

Iblis confirmed the original timeline events with the way HIstory was known, so it’s not like Makoto going back was the original timeline and stuff.
Probably the it was still the original timeline when Makoto and Co. arrived in the world but when Momo meets Makoto for the first time the past it had already changed a bit.
The reflections we see of momo in this chapter are after the final alterations to the timeline, not from the start of the novel.
And Ira was already actively working to make the altered future become the same as the original or as close as possible.
The only big question would be Ira’s memories, but that also was already explained: she sees all the possible futures and timelines at once, she only know which one is real by comparing them to reality. When Makoto came back, she confirmed that she was in a time where “the original future had Abel winning after much suffering > demons in the past went back to kill Abel > there were other modifications in the timeline> makoto went to the past.
She sees the future as possibilities and the most probable is what she accepts as truth.

Would be a great way to include Janet to the harem. But the real question is why would Janet be the reincarnation of her
Though I have thought something out of the box where maybe Sakurai is the reincarnation of Abel/Anna.
There were a couple of similarities I could find:
They both had a self-deprecating moment after an encounter with a confidant of Bifrons (Setekh in Janet’s case and Balam in Abel’s case) and admired Makoto for being able to face them.
They both wanted to marry someone stronger than someone (stronger than Geralt in Janet’s case, stronger than Olga in Anna’s case).
The latter in particular kind of stuck out to me because both of the scenes where that information was revealed occurred right before they each proposed to Makoto (Chapters 176 and 271 respectively). They were also both initially rejected for the same reasons (Makoto having prior engagement(s)) and had a choice prompted from RPG Player with their proposals (Chapters 177 and 288).
Janet was also considered to be as close as a sister to Noel and said she doesn’t want to have same husband as her. If Noel is revealed to be Anna’s reincarnation instead and she decides she wants to be with Makoto, we run into some problems regarding Sakurai and Janet.
So it might be possible? If we assume Anna will reappear and join the harem in some way, having her be Janet would be one way to avoid those problems besides just having Anna reappear in the future somehow. In addition, having Noel just look similar to Anna and not be her would set the precedent for Furiae to not be Nevia’s reincarnation either.

Anna’s promise is something i can’t predict too. I mean it can’t be marriage with her reincarnation since Noel loves Sakurai. And it’s not even a fact that Noel is a descendent of Anna now since i have doubt she would find someone else to have a kid after Makoto leaves. If I remember correctly, Anna’s race has a very interesting way of multiplying, as a race only filled with women. Anna’s mom (a Heavenly Wing) married a human mortal (which is not allowed), but I think the original method of multiplication for the heavenly wing race is something akin cloning themselves? I dunno, just speculation.
Also, I needed this wholesome epilogue. Kentaro Miura’s (author of Berserk) death is still bothering me. Made me damned sad.
I don’t remember exactly if it was from this source, but I believe that similar one of the episodes from Wonder Woman’s cartoon, the babies were made by using the blood of an amazon on a sand.
It could be similar to that method. By using the blood of Anna somewhere to create an offspring without mating since like the amazons, the heavenly winged race were an all woman’s race. And that’s why Noel is similar to Anna, as for the promise, maybe instead of freezing herself, since she was a demi-god, she could had found a way to enter the heavens and get some sort of immortality, no?
Hmm this could actually work if she was able to do it even as a half blood as it would explain Noel’s resemblance and their heritage as her decedents as they would be her daughter’s/clone’s while Anna herself finds a way to join Makoto that some of the comments have made be belive will be related to the statue.

They both can be. Soul split, so to say. Two halves of same person’s soul. Maybe Annabel thought that one of the reasons Makoto didn’t choose her is because of her weird gender, so male and female part of souls were separated. Maybe Althena finally heard the prayer “let me be reunited with Makoto”, and half of soul travelled to become Sakurai. He is crazy attached to Makoto. And another part of soul stayed, to fulfill duty, resulting in overly serious Noel(another reincarnated half).
Which, ironically, brought us to situation where 2 halves are to be married.

Exactly as I thought, also the whole time paradox is a pain for my brain so I don’t want to think about this too much. I do suspect that the story is already different from the start. Also, I think one of the reasons why the author makes Nevia reincarnated into the future because he wants to give a chance for Furiae as the one who defeats her instead because of her grudge towards Nevia for making her life become a mess.
So maybe it’ll be something like this :

Not gonna lie, Momo’s heroine power shot through the roof because of this. She’s definitely in the top of my list now. That dedication? Sheeesh, Lucy and Aya don’t really compare to her.
Anyways, I honestly thought the author would send Makoto back through time spirits but apparently not. His cold sleep however should have at least increased his proficiency in water magic and maybe the spell Ira made for him also increased his proficiency in destiny magic as well.
Now, where did Cain go? Did he just die off silently somewhere else? Damn, I wish we could know what happened to him. Best bro in the story deserves more.
Also, what did Makoto promise Anna? This one bugs me so much. We can assume that it’s something positive for Anna and maybe he said he’ll marry her instead in the future? I don’t think “that Momo” had the same memory set (and to a degree, even the same personality). Cain was simply an enemy, worshiping an Evil God. A madman who slaughtered everyone he could include her friends. And the statues demonstrate everyone (who isn’t Makoto and Ira) having altered memories resulting from the past changes rippling in.
Ira did confirm that there was an original timeline that went very different. So there is no question about that much. The original timeline was way rougher for Momo and everyone – not being carried by Makoto they themselves got tougher (but way more people died). And they where all fueled by hatred and a thirst for revenge. It should have been Cain also killing everyone (even the dragons hence the white dragon joining) that lead to the thirst for revenge. And that’s what the original (fiercer) Momo remembers. She was NOT happy about Makoto following Noah.
Momo we know would have a very different view of Noah. No way she’d tell Makoto to abandon Noah. After all in the final battle, 2 of Noah’s disciples fought against Iblis.
Plus I don’t know all the implications, but since Makoto cut her connection to Bifrons she’s “Half Vampire” instead of Vampire. Anyhow when Great Sage had told Makoto to abandon the “evil god”, she wasn’t acting and when she said she was saved by Abel, she wasn’t lying.
I think later on changes had rippled in, and she knew Makoto (but was hiding it). She really favored him later on though. And I notice she was somewhat tolerant of daylight, though not completely. Is that from being half-vampire? I do hope the author clarifies some things later.
I agree aith you for the most part but how does Bifrost remember Makoto’s face before him leaving for the past and what does that coffin have inside in the alternate timeline? I do believe that there was an alternate timeline but i can’t understand how it was altered before Makoto intervened. Did it have all these changes when demons intervened the past at once?

And so the bootstrap paradox comes to completion. Many of us had guessed that Makoto was being held by Momo and now I am interested in seeing if the story changed much now the Makoto reawakens after definitely changing the past.
It is indeed a bootstrap paradox. If the original history is false, who created it in the first place ?
The history changed at the moment the otherworlder was summoned, meaning the interference of Makoto. It happened in an instant.
Makoto being an otherworlder meaning he is a separate entity from the original timeline altogether. That’s why the trigger should be the summoning. If they didn’t get summoned the world would continue as the original history proceeds.
I feel like the line “If I get reborn, please make me into a hero.” was the beginning of everything.
No the original history was the original history, WITHOUT Makoto. Ira already covered and reconfirmed this, so there is no question. You guys need to re-read (which is more reward than chore). It went a lot differently. For one thing it was more brutal for those involved. Abel wasn’t originally caught after their failed raid (though his master died), and he then found/saved Momo after fleeing. A lot more people died orinally. Cain was never an ally, and instead the trigger for everyone else seeking revenge. But Cain was defeated (as was Nevia) by Abel. They had a powerful motivation originally – that never happened thanks to Makoto in this timeline.
As a result of everything being rougher, they where all a lot stronger. They even got experience fighting off an army. Abel fully awoken much sooner, fueled by hatred. They weren’t carried by Makoto, but at the same time the Demon side didn’t have foreknowledge of Abel in the original timeline. It would seem Iblis upon awakening sent his past-self information – thus creating history V2. And it worked, hence the changes rippling in (the statues, etc which Makoto noticed before Ira). Abel was killed before becoming a threat. Thus necessitating Makoto to go back and get it “close enough” (at least Abel must survive).
Arc 10 that we read is History V3. NOT the original history, or even close. But you could say it is now the only history as far as most the world is now concerned (from their non-time-traveling point of view). Ira still knows, and Makoto. I have a feeling Noah too. Now Makoto isn’t creating a paradox probably for 4 reasons.
1. Elasticity of time/fate. Fate runs along strings, if that makes sense. “If you get it close enough, the result should be the same.” Which you see with Momo’s fate – to be first saved from monsters, captured, turned Vampire and awakening as “Great Sage” at that point. Makoto got things close enough even without intending to, which too may have been according to the pull of fate.
2. Adding to #1, Ira’s hard work, doing what only a destiny god can do. Probably.
3. The fact that Makoto was from another world, he can’t mess up the events that lead him there. Changing a history that didn’t shape him in the first place.
4. What is RPG Player in the end? Seriously which Goddess crafted this? Why do I now think it was Noah? Why does it constantly surprise Furiae and even Ira? But it lets him manipulate fate. It is so broken.
Right before Makoto left for the past, the timeline was very unstable. Had he not gone… that might have created a paradox instead. That or solidify History V2 (bad ending). And IIRC, RPG Player didn’t even ask if he was going. But it did ask if he would promise to return.
I want to know the color of that statue now that Makoto is back, having secured History V3. And I feel like replaying Chrono Trigger.
I am of the belief that there is no altered history, Makoto was always meant to go to the past as it is set in stone. Ira is just as capable of lying as Noah just to manipulate events. Alternated history does not explain the following: why Momo lied about not meeting Makoto in the past (she paused before answering), the hidden member of Abel’s party, Bifrons recognized Makoto, and why Momo knew Makoto before he even arrived in that world. Ira’s explanation is filled with half-truth and lies mixed to misdirect the the real truth. Ira can act like a fool to control events and lower other people’s guards like Noah or Eir.
Ira’s actions so far have been weird. The Alexander and Pope fight felt orchestrated from start to end to me. Ira revealing Makoto being the Apostle of an Evil God. From her first appearance, it was like she was following a script that she wrote to lead events. That blind faith to Ira is not good even if she is cute, she can lie as well as Noah. The youngest sibling are typically the most resourceful and know how to act in different situations to get what they want.
Maybe the history was already set as Makoto travelling to the past? Future Bifron’s reaction and Momo’s coffin and the mysterious extra hero party member. Shouldn’t they mean Makoto already travelled to the past before he actually did?
But then again there was also an alternate timeline which Ira talked about. It has a chance of being a lie though since she can’t share an info like that with Makoto

Makoto can increase his lifespan almost freely with the sacrifice spell (it just doesn’t allow “actual age + lifespan remaining” to be more than 100) even if he did lost a few years it’s nothing compared to what he already keep spending and regaining using sacrifice magic

Anna’s race is the heavenly winged folk – a race of only females that when they wish to have children usually give birth to sister-daughters, basically nearly identical clones. Except due to having the appearance of (mostly) human females, they can also choose to mate as humans do. When they do this, however, the result is a strange being like Anna who can be either male (human) or female (winged folk). So if Anna wanted to, she could give birth to a clone-daughter after Makoto left, despite never having slept with him (or anyone). Noel is almost certainly Anna’s – and ONLY – Anna’s descendent. Due to her racial heritage, there was never any need for her to have a lover in order to have a child.
My guess as to the promise: Makoto chose ‘Yes’ in RPG Player for marrying Anna – but then he purposefully did not do it in the past. We already know that RPG Player’s choices can bend fate to a degree beyond the power or vision of the goddess of fate, so my guess is that when Makoto makes a choice he is not just choosing a path – he is MAKING a path. If he chose Yes, but then did not marry her in the past, then the skill will MAKE Anna somehow end up in the future (if only via reincarnation and later awakening memories) so that the choice can come true.
The promise is probably along the lines of “if / when I meet you in the future, I will marry you”. Anna already knows from Ira that those with unusually large amounts of mana (such as herself) can be reincarnated. And given the service she has provided (restoring the ‘holy gods’ to power), asking to be reincarnated (whether by Ira or by Athena) is a small price to grant as a reward.
So when will Makoto drop the bomb that Noel is actually his descendant? >:D

If people did not notice it yet, but the timeline where Makoto is sent to the past 1,000 years ago is the original timeline. Everything else about the legend was lies just so Ira could simulate the same events as Makoto told them in the past. It was a forced event about Makoto going to the past, the only choice RPG player offered was if he would stay in the past or return to the present.
Momo’s public acknowledgement about her love for Makoto and calling him with sama is going to shock everyone. After 1,000 years of guarding his ice coffin, she is not going to leave his side at all for a minute and Makoto will accept it all as his new norm. So when is Momo’s kiss scene? Soon? Ira too.
Now that I think of it… Ira might have some resentment and anger towards Makoto since she had to align past events with future events 1,000 years later. That Alex and Pope fight with Makoto is probably a simulated event that had to occur.
I like to believe that Anna became the statue of Abel in Highland that changes colors. Petrification magic? Cain might have done something similar.
Interesting theory…I’ve also thought that the statue was suspicious the first time Makoto kept looking at it, as if it’s something important to the story. And yes, I think it was obvious from the start when Makoto went back to the future, but Abel’s adventure was a fabrication (not really a fabrication, more like retelling with Makoto’s name changed to Abel) made to fit the entire timeline. During the previous arc, Momo’s constant whining when storytelling on how the rash Abel kept jumping to the middle of the enemy is really similar to Makoto’s character. Pretty impressed how the author tried his best to tie together the plot twist.
Hmm i like the statue idea I was expecting a twist with the coffin but instead we got the obvious answer so mabye the twist is elsewhere, I dont trust this author to end it so simply
I want to agree but the scaling doesn’t match. I was re-reading the early chapters and makoto and aya reference it has “looking like the statue of liberty” which funi-yan states he had the same reaction. Unless makoto only noticed it’s color change but not the size i don’t think that’s the case. But another plausible theory would be she’s currently snoozing at the temple in the moutains that her and momo trained at for a half year while cain and makoto were attempting the deep sea temple.

Everyone is talking about Momo, Anna, and the time paradox. But everyone is forgetting one thing. What happened to Cain? Since he’s a devil kin he should be dead but it seems odd that they would just brush him off as dead that easily. Also, let us say Cain is alive, how did Noah get Makoto as a believer?
I also predict that either Nevia or Anna is inside the cat.
I bet Cain simply left to live out his days somewhere quiet or to fulfill a request for Makoto as the 1 rule still stood when he came to his world

I’ve posted this theory on multiple chapters but I’mma do it again here. Except the part about makoto being the one in the coffin.
I’m convinced that the statute of abel in highland is the geniune article. First off makoto was the only one to notice it’s changes and i doubt something mentioned through several chapters would just be there to be a back to the future group photo. It was brought up in the early chapters of this arc even. Even more so now that we know that makoto promised anna something. Implying that he will do so after he wakes up from his ice nap. So it’s probably something involving anna ending up in the present.

I think that Noel is the Witch’s reincarnation. She looks like Ana probably because the Witch wanted so.
This would also explain really why she doesn’t like the current Moon’s Oracle (As if a royal would actually care about some weird lover that the Hero might have).
I have no idea how Anna will show up (she will likely show up in some form), but I really do think Noel is the witch reincarnation just fooling around.
Maybe (streaching now) she likes Sakurai so much because she means to reincarnate the Great Demon Lord on him.
Actually i agree. Nevia seemed the type to have a fucked sense of humor so reincarnating as the descendant of the hero who killed her would be ironic. And of the characters shown aside from furiae only noel innately had a charm style skill (perfect beauty) that made everyone have a positive opinion of her. This also explains how sakurai gets stabbed since if her memories are like an isekai mc they aren’t there from birth (usually). So her belief toward naia (an outer god) would make it so ira can’t see her future. And noel is most likely going to be near/next to sakurai during thr final battle.
I’m also in agreement for the simple reason that I dont trust this author not to have a twist and considering the ice coffin was indeed the obvious theory we are still overdue for a twist and Furie is another obvious theory.
I don’t think it can be Noel. Also, she’s an oracle of Athena and I can’t see Athena being as unreliable as a certain destiny goddess in their duties (granted the incident with her little brother, Alex, was not something she was fully in charge of).
If I remember, those skills come from the god/goddess themselves (hence why it took 1000 years for the new light hero skill to manifest) and Nevia was not sacrificed to the goddesses so wouldn’t be able to get those skills. We know this from when Makoto sacrificed the one demon lord to Eir in the Wood arc and they would become a hero in the future.
The reason for Noel’s jealousy stems from her POV I’d say. Being royalty, her duties to Sakurai is to bear his children for the next light hero in case something happens. Sakurai broke through that mundane thoughts of Noel’s duties that someone like Furie, who has no ties or need to put on airs, can be informal but Noel has to always be formal and the picture of the sun goddess oracle.
Noel knows that the other fiancé’s are only there to breed the bloodline and the only one’s that may have actual affection are his classmates and she knows that and is understanding that helps Sakurai cope. Aside from Makoto, Sakurai has not shown that level of interest to anyone else. I’d say that Sakurai and Noel’s relationship is pretty good and now that Furie has started to acknowledge her feelings of Makoto somewhat, Noel has no issues with Furie and even helping with rebuilding the Moon Country.

The afterstory would be a good way to fill the things that weren’t explained. Maybe the fight against the remaining Demon Lords would be done. Its priority should be low however. An afterstory only about Anna would be lacking. The author could develop it more with the relationships with his harem.

Y- yeah good thing Ira taught Makoto the magic equivalent of an alarm clock. Otherwise he’d probably really be stuck sleeping for 15 million years waiting for Dia to wake him up.
Speaking of that, I don’t know how I feel about the method Makoto used to return to the present. Like freezing himself so he can be woken up in the future while being guarded in Momo’s coffin was one of the first methods I thought of but it seemed so obvious that I thought there’d be no way the author would use it. Especially when other viable options were shown like the Time Spirits or the spring of life and star veins in Laberintos. Especially when Lucy and Sa-san were shown traveling to Laberintos in a side chapter around the same time Makoto in the past was also reaching Laberintos, I thought for sure there’d be something like after everything was resolved in the past that Makoto would travel to Laberintos after getting a vision of the future showing Lucy and Sa-san heading to the lowest level of the dungeon. Once there, either Makoto would submerge himself in the spring of life or have himself encased in those star veins at the very bottom of Laberintos and we would get a chapter of Lucy and Sa-san reaching the bottom and discovering Makoto there.
Well there is a possibility that Anna is there instead. Maybe Makoto promised that he’d travel to Laberintos after waking up in the future and head to the bottom of the dungeon to awaken Anna. For all we know, the rest of the group could have also gone there too to also wait until Makoto awakens them. We don’t know what happened to Johnny and they just said that Cain disappeared. Plus history recorded that Mel was also said to have disappeared. There was one explorer who supposedly traveled to the bottom of Laberintos to search for Mel but couldn’t find any trace of her but who knows if he really reached the bottom. Maybe there is an even deeper layer that Mel is on guarding Anna and any others in suspended animation or maybe the explorer really did encounter Mel and was persuaded to lie about not finding anything so that people wouldn’t come searching.
Speaking of Anna I guess we now have to wait to find out how the author deals with the whole Highland royalty being her descendants. Either they’ll be some random humans who just claim to be her descendants in order to stay in power and Noel looking like Anna is purely coincidental, Anna’s human father had other relatives who show up and they’re the ones who found Highland or at least help Anna found it or because Anna is part of a normally female-only species, she might be able to magically procreate. If magic is involved then Anna might not even need to go through pregnancy. I’ve read stories where people use blood or mana in some magic ritual and it magically turns itself or some medium into a descendant of the person either as a baby/young child or a full grown adult. I mean there’s no way the author will have Anna have a baby with someone else after she confessed her love to Makoto and Makoto is trying to wait until the end of his quest before he loses his virginity and has kids (Momo wouldn’t allow her favorite sports drink to become sullied anyways). For similar reasons I don’t think the author would have her really be Noel’s reincarnation because he doesn’t want to NTR Sakurai and Makoto had previously expressed his disapproval of NTR when he thought Furiae was in love with Sakurai and Lucy or Sa-san suggested to him that maybe she had feelings for him.
As for the author comments at the end: I see, so the entire arc was made because he wanted to write the epilogue with Momo. I do have to agree that Anna’s heroine power sorta started overshadowing Momo’s heroine power though I think Ira-chan’s heroine power overshadowed both. Mel’s was more subtle and I figure that she’ll be more of a heroine in the next arc.
My belief is that RPG Player’s choices don’t just show paths – they make paths. This is why Ira is so disturbed whenever the choices appear or Makoto makes one (especially one that should not be possible).
My guess is that Makoto chose ‘Yes’ – but then told Anna he would marry her if he encountered her (reincarnation) in 1000 years. Because of the power of RPG Player skill, whatever is necessary to occur to make that happen will now definitely happen. Because having chosen ‘Yes’ it is literally impossible for him *not* to marry Anna – even if somehow they must meet again 1000 years later.
As for Anna being the ancestor of Noel – recall that Anna is only half human. Her other half is the female-only Winged Folk race that does not need a lover in order to reproduce a nearly identical sister-daughter.
But this brings to mind another interesting idea: What is the lifespan of a Winged Folk? Given they are the angel-equivalents of this world who serve the holy gods, maybe they are extremely long lived, and after giving birth to her clone-daughter and raising her to be the queen, she left to live among her mother’s folk until Makoto woke up.
That, or she made an arrangement with Ira or Athena to be reincarnated. Wasn’t it mentioned that the ‘processing’ the soul goes through is what removes its memories? So in theory she could be reborn with some of her memories of her former life. But as who? I’ve seen both Janet and the receptionist Marie suggested. Given the next arc is the last, I can’t imagine a ‘new’ heroine being introduced who turns out to be Anna’s reincarnation, so my guess is either she will return directly (being long lived) or an already named female in the story will ‘somehow’ regain memories of her former life.

Did someone clear all the water out of the deep sea temple? I can’t seem to read this chapter with all this water around my eyes.
So Makoto was always the saviour eh? Because when he went to see the Great Sage before going back to the past the coffin ⚰️ was already there, and Momo warned him that if he opened it he’d have to face the consequences, so he chickened out.
I’m guessing Ira had her hands full repairing the time loop/paradox.
Also does this mean their are two Makoto’s in the same timeline??
Wow. Just WOW! The coffin in early chapters makes sense now! Great sage stopped Makoto from opening the coffin. That was pretty fishy but now it makes sense. AUTHOR-SAMA IS A LEGEND!
A few thoughts – –
Momo illustration was adorable.
Noah at one time fairly early on suggested to Makoto that he seduce all of the oracles, of whom he did with two of them.
As mentioned in this thread, the parallels between Makoto and Abel were brought up a few times. One was the aforementioned part about Abel acting like Makoto. The other was when Makoto made a cryptic comment about looking for Noah, which led to a lecture by Noel, who claimed that Abel was known to have said the almost same exact line, and she was concerned that he was essentially dissing the memory/legend of Abel.
I am still curious if Mel actually fell for Makoto, but the meeting with her father and her interaction with Makoto was somehow ambiguous. There’s also my personal theory that Mel was one of the classmates who didn’t show up during the summoning/reincarnation at the Water Temple. It was explicitly stated that some of them never showed then. (Sa-san is an example of this) I figured that if she were one of classmates but reincarnated in the far distant past, perhaps she either forgot about her previous life, or chose not to mention it to Makoto on camera. If she was a classmate and was in love with Makoto, was it something that formed during his journey to the past, or was she interested in him to some degree when she was a classmate.
The thing that has really impressed me about this story is that while I had certain expectations based on how the story developed, the author managed to come up with something that came close to them, but did so in a surprising manner (my prediction was that Makoto would use the enchantment on the dagger that Eir had placed on it to sacrifice the Great Demon Lord/god to Eir or Noah, but instead he passed it to Anna who defeated the GDL’s second form with it. The sacrifice felt like something he’d do, and had done previously when he was rescuing Momo at the beginning of the arc, and he quite possibly would have gained a lot more lifespan for sacrificing an actual Demon Lord).
As for what happens next, I have no idea, but I am looking forward to seeing Makoto reunite with his companions (and the possible catfight when Momo gets revealed as a new girlfriend).
For Mel’s feelings toward Makoto. I would trust Momo’s analysis of it. Why? She is always observant of Makoto and the various people that are attracted to him. Momo knew Anna fell for Makoto before the saint even realized it or admitted it to herself.
I am of the belief that there is no altered history, Makoto was always meant to go to the past. Ira is just as capable of lying as Noah just to manipulate events. Alternated history does not explain the following: why Momo lied about not meeting Makoto in the past (she paused before answering), the hidden member of Abel’s party, Bifrons recognized Makoto, and why Momo knew Makoto before he even arrived in that world. Ira’s explanation is half-truth and lies mixed to misdirect the the real truth.

I think there’s a keyword here: ‘The HUMAN Anna’ is gone. Anna is half angel, so she’s bound to make a comeback.
As for Noel x Sakurai… I don’t think there’s a whole lot of deep affection there. They are friends though.
Who knows how it pans out with that information.
Also, Nevia and Iblis are mixed in some way, its possible they reincarnate together. That should be a fun and complicated twist, esp. if it becomes Furi/Nevia/Iblis + Noel/Anna.

Not to mention Anna. It sounded like she’s passed away, but her promise and everything else tells me that we haven’t seen the last of her. While it was cryrostasis as we’ve theorized, it seems Anna wasn’t part of that trek.

Also…Booo on skipping the Demon Lord hunt. I wanted to see that. The new party dynamics, new revelations, or at least a post-war party?
Okay, let’s get this straight, the timeline has never been altered, why you ask? There are many points to prove it, but the most decisive prove would be makoto releasing momo from bifrons’s control. Since the only way for momo to be released is by makoto’s way. There’s practically no way for someone to possess both ira’s protection and god killer knife at the same time execpt for makoto.
pretty sure that destiny magic (momo)(Makoto used a elementary spell to make the link appeared, so yep, Momo could have done it) and light hero skill full power (Abel, if in the original timeline, he was smart enough to recharge his skill above the black cloud by learning and using the flight spell which an intermediary spell) could have done the job done.
Existence of Momo is the biggest proof thath timeline wasn’t altered. Destiny magic only made the link visible and it could be only broken by appling destiny magic to the dager and hero Abel wouldn’t go all out to just save a random vampire. Before that why Bifrone [Vampire king] personaly transform a random village girl into his direct kin? He hadn’t have any reason to transform Momo into vampire.
Sound arguments
An altered timeline seems highly improbable.
First is that Momo mentioned that Abel ran off instead of staying behind with Anna with the creation of the highland kingdom. We know that Anna/Abel are one and the same and there’s no way an altered time-line could easily change that.
Second, Momo had mentioned during the fight for Sakurai that the dark clouds were stronger in the past 1000 years ago. Momo became the great sage due to her training with Mel. If Mel is unable to clear the clouds and Momo was still in training, considering the party that they had in the past, there is no one who would be able to clear the skies enough for Anna to power up.
Sakurai only had to deal with the clouds for that short amount of time before Makoto saved him but Anna had lived under those dark clouds all this time. Abel being able to learn flight, he’d have to learn it from someone like Mel or possibly Johnny but Mel seems the most likely based on what we saw happen. If that’s the case, Anna didn’t even need to learn how to fly but could have rode Mel.
What we don’t know is how thick those clouds were so even if Anna did fly, it seems like it would take more time to charge up and I don’t think the enemy would have allowed her to do that if she had to fly up there either with flight magic or with Mel.
Just want to said it was not impossible.
I didn’t said mel, because the “original” story said that by time Mel join the party, Abel already had beat bifrons.
And even in the current timeline Anna could use fly magic (cf chapter 263)

The count on gods, heroes and oracles is way too low. In the future you have sun, lightning, ice, fire, wood, and Rose for heroes. In the past you have the 3 heroes in the distraction party and the 2 heroes that accompanied Mokoto, plus there should be a few more heroes that joined as they traveled around.
In the future Mokoto knows lots of gods. Noa, Sun, Water, Destiny. Not sure if you want to include Alex as a hero or a god. In person, he met Water, Sun and Destiny. In the past he met Ira and the Demon King.

This is just my theory but I think Sa and Lucy will find Anna in the bottom of lybarintos. They might find others too like Mel or johnny but Anna is my main bet. I think she used the spring on the bottom floor to extend her life somehow. Well that’s my pet theory. Also does anyone remember that makoto was supposed to have a fight with Mel’s dad. So if they went around fighting demon lords there is a good chance they already had that fight and makoto has the dragon lord’s token deal.

So, re-reading this again, I wonder if Nevia could be Isaac. I just remembered about when the taboo monsters in the water country and how Makoto had heard a female voice. I remember back then how it was though that Ilbis may be a loli demon but maybe that voice instead belonged to Nevia.
That would explain that Makoto did meet her but no in a physical sense. Considering we know how much Nevia also likes taboo monsters, this would make sense and would mean that if Isaac was the reincarnation of Nevia would make sense and be something outside of common sense for reincarnation; we would be thinking of Nevia having a female reincarnation.
Although, the way Isaac acts doesn’t seem Nevia-like but the voice has to at least be hers when summoning the taboo monsters.
Hoping that the Author didn’t get rid of Anna. None of the other harem girls were ever at risk like this, but I feel like 99% chance she’s fine and jumped to the future somehow.
I’m re-reading the series and at the part with Makoto first learns to charge his dagger. Sakurai mentions he doesn’t have Abel’s legendary sword. With us now knowing Makoto went into the past and meeting Anna, could explain why Sakurai doesn’t have Anna’s weapon.
Anna’s main weapon is fire Hero sword that already broken Twice,and the Legendary Blade actually Makoto’s dagger

So, does this chapter confirms that Momo is officially the 5th wife of Makoto? RIP Anna. She still married and bore the child of a man she doesn’t love for the 2nd time (or is the so called descendants just a randomly chosen family who had been responsibility to give the mass someone to rely on but not really related to Anna?). First was the original history and now with Makoto’s revision.

I knew it! I knew he was in that coffin when he met momo in the past! But I really wished Anna was the one in the coffin and makoto had a little divinity left to time travel but it looks like there is a chance Anna reincarnated to this era because of their promise, because what’s the use of introducing a waifu without giving her some fluffy moments with makoto, it isn’t like this is some tragedy novel or anything, I was also hoping to get some awkward moments when he returns to go to the other girls introducing momo as his lover and also an exact replica of noel being introduced as his wife, oh and also don’t forget about dia
There is one thing that keeps bugging me, and I think it is the answer to the problem of Anna. As Momo said “Human Anna has passed away” HUMAN. Abel was a human. Anna was a winged folk, a race close to angels. She also had TWO skills that was basically hands of a god. What if Anna killed her human side to ascend and become a full on angel? How amazing it would be if in a dire situation Makoto says “First seat of Angels, Holy Maiden Anna” or something and she comes? COME ON NOW it will be amazing!!!

The way they parted, there’s no way in hell that was a ‘goodbye forever’ exchange. The only question is HOW. I’m looking forward to see how ‘The Promise’ is kept. I get you completely! This last arc has been rushed as all hell… What should have been chapters worth of story was wrapped up unsatisfyingly in a mere page. Back in the beginning we got chapters just based on Makoto fighting goblins and grinding but now after all that set up it gets a brief synopsis for what was at the heart of the story?

Rereading this arc since the light novel version of it is about to be released soon in Japan. Definitely my favorite arc, I hope author the adds a bunch of original content to it, this arc can definitely be split into 2 novels instead of just one. We’ll see once it’s released.
I had a feeling the moment Momo got captured that he was the one in the coffin. And the 10th arc makes me want to fight this author. Why write a stable time loop into this?
