Tsuki – Chapter 325: Under the moonlight

Aah.

I wanted to be spared from this type of stuff today.

Can’t they endure for a little bit?

If you had self-control on the level of an average person, you wouldn’t have to hide in a dumpster place like the Dusk Street.

And in reality, there seems to be a worker-like system in Tsige, and there will always be a light and dark in it.

The dirt that Rembrandt-san has placed a lit on and has fermented slightly, I guess I should put a hand on it.

Up and down.

From both sides.

There’s around 6-7 surrounding this place, I guess?

A while after finishing a dream-like dinner that there’s no knowing of when we could have something like this again, the children, who have their eyes shining bright towards their future, and the staff members supporting them have gone to sleep in the Weitz Orphanage.

I thought it might happen.

We stepped forward, and Rembrandt-san came to spectate.

Today, at this time, there’s no idiot who would come to abduct children.

I thought such a silly thing in my mind for a moment, so I scattered some nice bait–ah, I mean, just in case, I set people around and remained in the orphanage.

You could consider this still early, it has only been a bit since the day has changed.

An orphanage is about children, so of course they will be sleeping early.

I normally would also be in bed at Asora at this hour.

If there had been no movements soon, I would have been going back.

I noticed the intrusion of some big idiots.

Close to 10 people.

Only 2 have infiltrated.

Kanta is below, and Rio is up.

A giant pervert that loves to see the expressions of the slaves, and the maniac that loves to do deathless torture.

(Mondo.) (Makoto)

(Yes!) (Mondo)

(One each up and down. 7 in the surroundings. Have you gotten a grasp of their locations?) (Makoto)

(Yes. I have already sent my subordinates to capture them. Is there no problem with that?) (Mondo)

(That’s fine. After that, you or Lime, go for the one up or below, I will take care of the remaining one. Is there any you would want to deal with?) (Makoto)

Mondo and Lime are on standby inside.

There’s several Forest Onis positioned outside that can move freely.

I had Mondo take command of them since the Forest Onis are familiar with each other.

(…If it is okay with you, I would like to deal with the repudiating elf above.) (Mondo)

(Okay. Then I will deal with the one below. Let’s meet at the garden. If something happens, make sure to report.) (Makoto)

(Understood.) (Mondo)

I thought he would give an answer like ‘I don’t mind which’, but it looks like he had one.

I confirm the position of Kanta and think about a place to face him at.

I want to avoid having the people here make contact with him.

It may not be on the level of Rio, but there might be people with a trauma here.

‘Repudiating elf’, huh.

The Forest Onis call themselves the ancestors of elves. The oldest forest people, was it?

There’s also Lime.

Since he is from here, it wouldn’t be strange if he had some sort of emotions towards Rio.

“The enclosure was wiped out in an instant, huh. The undercover prowess of the Forest Onis is admirable.” (Makoto)

I mutter.

There’s no worries of being heard yet, but when thinking about how I am moving in the darkness, I end up speaking in a low voice.

The ghost stories of schools probably have an atmosphere like this.

The ones who have come are a kidnapper that’s stronger than your average adventurer, and a torturer fetishist. It is hard to say which one is scarier.

“!”

Someone is moving.

Two.

A child and an adult.

Crap, a child and a staff member.

There’s a lot of people after all.

Even if the 3rd and 4th floor are the main floors, days like today where things haven’t been set up yet, there are quite a lot of young ones sleeping on the 2nd floor.

It is one of the young ones, who is sleeping together with all the children in one room, and a staff member.

They are going to the 1st floor. They are gonna go down the stairs.

Even though it is so late…ah, the toilet!

All things water related are concentrated in the 1st floor, is what I heard from Tomoe.

She had them correct it, telling them that ‘what kind of orphanage has showers and toilets in all of their floors?’.

She is right.

Tomoe was right, she was, but not good today!

Kanta must be searching for the presence of people on the first floor as he goes higher.

Tch.

I dash.

I then use magic to fly on without landing.

There’s no need to give the other party any piece of information.

I rush right onto the stairs.

No matter how I tell the two, there’s no assurance that they won’t raise their voices.

Then…I just need to make it so they can’t.

I don’t remember the name of the child, but the staff member is the girl named Seina.

Woah, that was close!

Isn’t that the friend of Lime?

“Seina-san, listen silently.” (Makoto)

““?!?!””

Seina and the child shook greatly at me suddenly landing right in front of them.

I am sorry for scaring you.

But they didn’t let out a sound. Because I erased their voice for a bit.

“Going to the toilet with that child?” (Makoto)

When Seina saw that it was me, she relaxed, and then, with a strong glare as if in protest, she nodded up and down.

“Got it. Because of reasons, you two can’t speak currently, but it will be fixed soon, so don’t worry. Okay, stay inside the toilet closeby, and don’t come out until I say it is alright to, okay?” (Makoto)

“??”

“It seems like there’s evil kidnappers here, so I am going to be chasing them away.” (Makoto)

“!”

Seina reacts fluently at the word ‘kidnappers’.

She nodded with a serious expression, then carried the child that was on the verge of panicking, and disappeared into the toilet.

Alright.

Trouble avoided.

Good job, me.

Not long after, Kanta arrived at the stairs while whistling.

It would be troubling if he were to contact Rio once I show up, so I am going to…test this.

I want to use the hard work of the dwarves to defeat them.

Kanta was walking up the stairs in a good mood.

I tap a pillar two times with my finger.

After that, a part of the pillar slides open soundlessly to the size of a household switch.

A red button appears.

Press.

“Wa?!”

Oh my, how mysterious.

The stairs became a slide.

Slippy slip.

Kanta-shi had his footing taken, and he rolled down past me who was at a side of the stairs and hit a wall face first.

“Kaha!”

A contraption that had been in standby when the stair mechanism had been activated detected the impact and activated as well.

A heavy washing basin falls from above Kanta and hits him straight on the head.

“?!?!…….”

Kanta lost consciousness.

Don’t think you can clear the Neo Weitz Orphanage so easily.

Too bad.

There’s actually a lot of uses for torture.

Even I myself understand this.

But the one you do is no good.

Whether it is a hobby or for actual profit, those points don’t matter. What’s no good is that you can’t endure it.

You could have been of more use compared to Rio.

Torture is useful after all.

Resurrection is magic that has gotten decently familiar in Asora now, but torturing someone to the point of wanting to die from the bottom of their hearts, compared to killing them and reviving them after, actually has a crazy difference in success rates. With the latter being really low.

In other words, if done well, there would be no need for resurrection.

That’s why I thought that maybe the skills of this guy could be of use to Asora.

Well, due to various reasons, that idea has been dismissed though.

Mostly because I realized I had been thinking while throwing away all sense of ethics. When I placed all points together, I returned to my senses.

Now then!

“Seina-san, it is okay now.” (Makoto)

I went to the people hiding in the toilet while dragging Kanta who I wrapped up.

“Uhm, is it safe now?” (Seina)

“Yes, it is over now.” (Makoto)

The door opened slowly, and a child, who seemed sleepy, and Seina, who was now completely woken up, hesitantly came out.

“Hiih!”

“What?”

The two direct their eyes at Kanta.

Okay, looks like they can talk now.

“It is okay, he won’t be waking up.” (Makoto)

“O-Okay…” (Seina)

“What’s the matter, Onee-chan?”

“Seina-san?” (Makoto)

“Raidou-sama, this man is supposed to be here in order to make it so that the prey doesn’t get away….” (Seina)

“Ah, yeah, I know.” (Makoto)

“There should be another one!” (Seina)

“Please calm down, Seina-san. People from my place are dealing with it.” (Makoto)

“…Eh?” (Seina)

“They should be finishing soon. Go ahead and sleep. This won’t be happening again.” (Makoto)

“N-No! There’s an elf. One who is like a fiend that no one can win against!” (Seina)

“……”

“He has come again…again…! We will be taken away…all of us…!” (Seina)

“Onee-chan, it hurts. It hurts!”

Looks like Seina has seen Kanta before.

Even when she normally has a smile on her face, she becomes like this when her wound opens. It is a pretty serious scar.

She is holding the hand of the child too tightly.

Even though I dealt with him in a pretty funny manner.

Ah, I was the only one who saw that.

“That nightmare will be over by tonight, Seina-san. Lime has dealt with Rio.” (Makoto)

I was contacted by him just a few moments ago about how they were done.

Guess I will bring Kanta to the garden now.

“…?”

“Lime Latte has put an end to everything.” (Makoto)

“Lies. Lime has always been hiding together with me.” (Seina)

“You two were still children when you were hiding, right?” (Makoto)

“But Rio will always stay an adult! He said that when I give birth to a child, he would come take it. That when I become a granny, he would take my grandchild from in front of my face! A hyuman like me will be made a toy for the rest of my life to an elf like Rio!” (Seina)

…That bastard really has a terrible personality.

Even though this world is run in a society where hyumans are on the advantage, there’s obviously points where demi-humans surpass hyumans.

There are individual differences in magic and their magic power, and blessings are cheating to a certain extent, so those don’t count.

Elves have their lifespan.

Rio uses even the fact that demi-humans are scorned in order to use and enjoy the expressions of his prey.

It is such an inborn nature that I am troubled in how to comment on that.

…Well, there’s no need to hold back or feel guilty towards them. That’s for certain.

“Then, do you want to return the child, and then come with me?” (Makoto)

“…To where?” (Seina)

“To the garden. A finished fiend will be lying there.” (Makoto)

“…I will. I’m going.” (Seina)

“Got it.” (Makoto)

I sent a thought transmission to Mondo, and have him refrain from finishing him off for now.

Fortunately, they didn’t do it yet.

It seems like Lime got pretty heated up there, and Rio couldn’t do much and was defeated.

For Seina, Lime, and the Weitz Orphanage, this must be quite the heart burning situation.

The toilet child returned with the sleeping children in the big room, and this matter is settled now.

I bring Seina, who is still clattering her teeth, to the garden.

Lime and Mondo were on their knees.

In front of them…uwah, there’s Rio still alive, but in a pretty bad state.

This is what they must mean by beaten like a rag.

Even though I cleanly dealt with Kanta.

“Good job.” (Makoto)

“My katana slit more smoothly than normal due to the lowlife it was cutting.” (Lime)

Lime answers me as if satisfied.

He soon noticed Seina by my side, but it looks like he understood the situation, it seems he left the worrying for later.

Good.

I gotta finish this soon or I am gonna be scolded at Asora.

“Thanks to that, it ended up with me doing almost nothing aside from watching. The 7 outside have been captured.” (Mondo)

“Thanks for your hard work, Mondo. Also, I think you have already heard about it from the eldwas, but…” (Makoto)

“Yes, I have. Is it okay to begin now?” (Mondo)

“Right, let’s go.” (Makoto)

“Is the person there coming with us?” (Mondo)

Mondo proceeded with the conversation knowingly of what I am talking about.

Then, he asked me about what I would be doing with Kanta who I am still dragging.

“I will be dealing with him at the park.” (Makoto)

“Understood. Then…” (Mondo)

Lime, Mondo, and the two of us go through the 4th floor and onto the rooftop.

There was a circular patch of exposed earth. Even though this is the rooftop of a building.

Obviously there’s a reason for it.

There’s stone pavings minutely set around, and it was a space that looked like a sideroad.

And that would be somewhat correct.

“What are you going to do?” (Seina)

Seina seemed like she can’t even imagine what is going to happen on this rooftop.

Well, she will understand once she sees it.

In reality, I intended to find a good area around the wasteland instead of a place like this though.

“Atonement.” (Makoto)

“Atonement?” (Seina)

“Rio has been spreading misfortune all around. I was thinking about having him watch over the orphanage for a while.” (Makoto)

“This guy would never do something like that even in death!” (Seina)

“You might feel conflicted at first, but you will eventually get used to it. Mondo, Lime…” (Makoto)

““Yes!””

“…..”

Looks like Seina has decided to silently watch.

Then, let’s begin.

Tree Punishment.

Rio is placed on top of the earth.

Lime unsheathes his katana and concentrates.

Mondo, who is by the side of Lime, is reinforcing the magic power of Lime. The right hand of Mondo is shining a light green.

“Fiend that has fallen from the path as a person and an elf, you will watch over this building as its guardian until the day you wither to atone for your sins.” (Lime)

“!!!!!”

Rio’s body slowly turns into a tree.

It is very different to that of a hyuman. It is like the time when the variants were turned into trees.

The trunk rose steadily, branches spread, and leaves grew.

It was a speed that you would mistakenly think that the tree was growing drastically thanks to the light of the moon.

To think he would turn into one of this size. Is it because of how old he is, or the amount of mana he has?

Even if we are now able to cure the Tree Punishment, it is still a technique that we can’t just readily test.

And so, with this…the Weitz Orphanage is now complete.

Probably only a few select staff members will know the truth about the functions of this Neo Weitz Orphanage.

“He really grew big.” (Makoto)

“With a trunk this reliable, it will definitely become a splendid tree that can take any grudge.” (Mondo)

“Grudge? Oh well, let’s go back, Mondo.” (Makoto)

Tomoe and Mio are waiting.

“Yes.” (Mondo)

“Lime, you stay here for a night.” (Makoto)

“Understood.” (Lime)

“Good work. Seina-san, have a good night.” (Makoto)

“…Have a good night.” (Seina)

With Seina, who has her mouth open wide at the giant tree, and Lime, who nodded lightly, at a corner of my eye, we went to the park nearby that we made, and then returned to Asora.

What’s left now is to exterminate the believers, and after crushing the leader, we will control the rumors.

I also wanted to crush the head of the Anti-Goddess Cult, Muller, but we can just drive her away from Tsige for now.

The problem will be what will happen tomorrow with the construction requests and the estimations.

I can’t predict this.

The Dusk Street matter is pretty simple even though it makes me want to puke, and yet, running a proper business is a lot more difficult, geez.

  2. “Tree Punishment, 1 use, approved!”
Looks like Makoto has really gotten over the Tree Punishment curse to the extent of using it on his enemies.
I want to see what would happen if it was used on Muller too though… I’d like some more information about how the tree punishment works besides turning them into trees… Would she become a beautiful tree praised by even the hyumans? lmao

    1. I don’t think Makoto had a problem with the tree punishment exactly, his problem was that he didn’t trust the forest onis at the time and that there was no cure, so he was cautious of the forest onis using it on the people of Asora, however now he trusts them and there is a cure, the situation is a lot different.

    2. Well he’s used it on all the variants that attacked Rotsgard and has become more willing to use it because he did figure out a way to reverse it. Anyways if I recall when the tree punishment was first introduced they mentioned some things about it. They said that when it’s used, the mind of the victim doesn’t disappear for a long time so the victim remains aware of their state for I think they said months to years. Imagine being turned into a tree and being aware of it and trapped in that form forever. It’s the perfect punishment for a scumbag like Rio.

      1. On top of that, Rio will be tormented in pain while staying aware and in the end will eventually lose his mind. It’s definitely a harrowing punishment light-hearted folks wouldn’t dare wish on their foes.

    3. Elf chopsticks, elf chair, elf firewood, so many uses for an elf tree. And let us not forget trimming the elf tree and marking it with names and symbols. I like that the curse has finally found its use

    4. I’m sure she would be quite upset, if her tree gets worshipped as one of the Goddess’ miracles. Really beautiful tree sprouting out of nowhere, having an old soul feel to it, is bound to be a pilgrimage site, or tourist attraction.

  3. Thanks for the chapter~

I think Construction department of Kuzunoha will add “anti-thief traps” on their ads lol. And so Rio not only you face wrath of Lime, you get your ancestor (Mondo) turn you into giant tree as guardian for orphanage that you hurt. You reap what you sow, disgrace lowlife !!

      1. Yes, but I remember Makoto being disgusted by the tree punishment, didn’t expect them to plan so far ahead as to make a spot for tree punishing the kidnappers

  4. Thanks for the chapter

Btw I got the feeling that mondo n lime got mixed up in this sentence
“Mondo, who is by the side of Lime, is reinforcing the magic power of Lime. The right hand of Mondo is shining a light green”

Lime’s power is a booster right. N mondo the one who cast the tree punishment. Think that sentence should swap the names.

    1. I think Lime is the one giving the punishment by borrowing Mondo’s power given that he has personal grudge for Rio, but I don’t know for sure. The previous sentence said that Lime unseathe his katana, but it is not mentioned when he uses it.

  5. So the eldwas really did do something ridiculous to the orphanage. Building secret traps that you can activate with a button.

Just when I think those Dusk Street guys can’t get any dumber to live, they exceed my expectations. Why the hell would they try to kidnap children on the same day that Makoto’s group would be staying over? How stupid can they get? They know Makoto and Kuzunoha Company aren’t people they can mess with and it should be obvious that at the very least they would station some of their employees there for the day because of the opening of the orphanage and yet these guys still go in. They can’t even friggin’ wait a bit for Makoto’s people to leave. How exactly have these guys managed to live this long without having offended somebody with power due to how reckless they are? Anyways it’s good that Rio got Tree Punishment. He deserves it.

Damn it Makoto don’t just think of only driving out Muller from Tsige for now. It’s better to permanently deal with her. They already know she’s a cockroach that keeps coming back with a new iteration of the anti-goddess cult so leaving her free will be bound to become a problem again later on.

    1. Rio isn’t strong enough to detect Makoto’s people in the surroundings, but believes he’s strong enough to take out any gaurds. He’s viewed orphanage as his playground for who knows how many decades. Tormenting any staff that got in the way. Destroying the orphans new sense of security was more then the perverted Rio could resist. As Makoto said about making use of the torturer’s nasty skills, they can’t control their sick urges.
      🌳
Major problems with the big tree on the roof. The size of root system to support such a heavy tree from falling would take up the entire floor beneath. If not half of the building. While not being able to absorb any of the needed nutrients without soil. If the roots went to septic tank below building might get enough fertilizer, but that would make root size a bigger issue.
      🐰

      1. Well apparently Makoto had consulted with the eldwas about this even before they built the orphanage so they probably already have dealt with any possible issues of having a rooftop tree and there’s always magic as a solution. Also they carried out the Tree Punishment on a floor designated as a garden/park so the tree can definitely get nutrients.

    2. The problem is that if they kill Muller then the leader just changes as Mio got to knew before, so it is indeed better to drive her out, that way the leadership stays the same or at the very least they already know how to get to them

      1. That’s only a problem if somebody survives and obviously nobody would be left alive if he wipes out the whole organization. Even if by some luck the appointed new leader happened to not be around with the others when Makoto’s group wipes the cult out, Mio would have undoubtedly learned of that person’s identity and be tracking them so they can’t escape.

  6. Thanks for the chapter, I see Makoto had some really dangerous thoughs here, the fact that he openly admits to them and properly rebuke them means he is maturing well. So Kanta also got turned into a tree or there is a different plan for him? Rio though he had Makoto under control but got hell instead, that should be a great propaganda for ‘Don’t mess with the Devil’. Lime line was magnificent.

    1. Kanta is also turned into a tree on the park they made beside the orphanage. They did buy the lands beside it.

  7. At this point, I need the pov of Rio.

Maybe his pov after 3-4 weeks since he became a tree.

If will be interesting if he end up become a youkai, a treat or a tree that really protect the orphanage because he is afraid of Makoto…

  8. Hello, I’m Aristizle and this is my favorite isekai. I love the power fantasy “cloak and dagger” shadow games.

Tho,Weakest Mage is growing on me too. I like what that isekai is doing.

Is a world building subplot about to start in earnest? Will Makoto be bringing advanced magic-tech to the Goddess World and raising the standard of living? Will he be able to bring peace to the hyumans and demi-hyumans with prosperity and abundantly plentiful bounty?

Ser Whale once talked about space as the greatest ambitious frontier for Neptunes. Will Makoto go to space!?!?

  9. Makoto had some pretty dark thoughts there. Thinking of using Rio for the purposes of torture. It seems like killing them then resurrecting isn’t nearly as effective as I thought. Well it depends if the torturer instantly kills them then revives again and again. I wonder how their psyche would be after a number of tries. But you know what would ’cause even more damage to the poor bastard’s psyche? Torturing to the point they want to die, grant their wish but reviving them straight afterwards… Imagine the despair on the bastard’s face. I bet he’d legitimately lose all his hair and age in an instant!

    1. Naw, Rio was predetermined to be a tree, it was Kanta that was supposedly an expert on torture, but it was just his sadistic fetish.

On the plus side, that side chapter from way back when tells us that the tree torture keeps you conscious, plus very sensitive to whatever is done to your tree, and as a big tree surrounded by growing children, you can be sure that Rio is gonna end up with a ton of graffiti carved into him over the years….

    2. Indeed he was having dark though but it wasn’t about using toture on Rio it was about using Kanta knowladge of torture to extract information without having them kill the prisioners and resurrecting them, the problem is that Kanta couldn’t resist his urges so he was to much trouble to keep.

      1. Yeah that’s what I meant to say. At this point I don’t think Makoto has any issues with using torture. But hiring someone who is into it, is that what he meant by it being a breach of ethics and morals?

        1. Yes as he stated a few chapters back, he is ready to open his eyes to the darkness of the world, so recognizen the usefullness of torture is a shown of his personal maturity, that he recognized the limit of it is even better. I thnik what scared(?) him is that Kanta was way to into it, to the point that he would even use torture when isn’t needed.

  10. Thanks for the great work and chapter!

Correct me if I’m wrong (might re-read it) but did they just put a tree on the ROOFTOP?

      1. Then pretty soon everybody will want Rooftop Trees and it’ll be even MORE work for Makoto in the construction department.

  11. awesome chapter, its great that Rio got punished for all the bad deeds he did to the orphanage. thanks for the chapter

  12. Did they build a secret home-alone style defense system into the orphanage? Let’s hope creeper-tree doesn’t ever figure out how to use it. Seriously. Why would you put creeper tree there. So creepy.

    1. Tree Punishment works because while they can’t move at will, they are awake, and feel every breeze through their branches, every torn leaf, and every inch of bark the children tear off.

      1. I never said it didn’t work as punishment. I said having creepy elf dude standing around a bunch of kids is kind of uncomfortable. I know that doesn’t make sense since he probably can’t do anything to them, but… yeesh. What if he fruits? Put him out back of a manky backwoods bar or something. Somewhere with lots of bears, woodpeckers and termites.

  13. Thank you for the chapter.
I was surprised they did that a tree on the rooftop , but that seems like a good punishment for Rio.

  14. [The Dusk Street matter is pretty simple even though it makes me want to puke, and yet, running a proper business is a lot more difficult, geez.]

yes, creation is always more complicated than destruction.

  15. ah yes, the falling washing basin trap… CLASSIC~
i wonder in the future will the building transform into some sort of Takeshi Castle one, that would be nice

    1. Thats something that even he doesn’t know at the moment, it was stated at the beguinning that the amount of mana one has increase lifespan, so Mages tend to live more that its usual given their high amount of Mana, Makoto with his crazy amount is a really rare case, giving that he has more mana that even Superior Dragons then his lifespan is in doubt, he beleives that he will only live a couple of hundreds of years but I don’t think it will be only that.

  16. Thank for the chapter ^^

Makoto has become a scary…, no a terrifying man.
The thought of one day the shell will break open and let loose that monster terrifies me =_=

    1. It also scares everyone in the goddess world that know him and that is not an sincere ally with him.
And we already know what it look like with the dreams of his alternative lives…

    2. I think there may be a lock and trigger mechanism that can break the shell completely. We may have seen a glimpse of that when Tomoe’s clone #1 died and when he fought the interdimensional gate after that gate insulted his family.

  17. El peor tipo de persona se merece sufrir el peor tipo de castigo… para siempre.
    ________________________
The worst kind of person deserves to suffer the worst kind of punishment … forever.

  18. That was underwhelming. The elf wasn’t even concious, he wasn’t pleading for his life, he wasn’t panicking it was as flat as planting a tree in your garden. Even if it was intentional it was boring and didn’t make a satisfing ending to a ruthless scum. Dissapointed.

    1. The tree punishment if I remember well does tend tobe filled when done, besides Rio was beaten black and blue but not completely out.

      1. He was beaten black and blue because author wrote it this way. He could be beaten severly but still conscious, with coherent thoughts. Author decided not to. We could probably expect his POV chapter as a tree but I don’t know… It wasn’t satisfying.

  19. Thanks for the update, at last dusk street will be clean. I think thats the revelation Rembrandt foresaw from the past chapter

  20. I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t get to hear Rio cry and beg for his life. Like come on it would have been fine just cutting to Like beating the life out of him and then hearing him cry and beg them while he was turning into a tree.

  21. Damn!!! Some of you people are freaking scary. I do think the punishment was perfect though, it’s gonna drive him crazy when he wakes up and discovers he’s a tree that can’t move MUAAAHAAAAAAHAHAAzAHHAAAAAHAAAAAAH

  22. Makoto: “The Dusk Street matter is pretty simple even though it makes me want to puke, and yet, running a proper business is a lot more difficult, geez.”

I totally agree with Makoto on this, even Mio was totally bored by listening to their childish plan.
    Its not worth it.
It effect, it just triggered Mio’s cooking thinking….

  23. Dusk Street is truly done for, now. All of them were complete retards.

I wonder what kind of fate awaits Muller though. I personally hope for “ORA ORA ORA” by his arms and 4 silver hands at same time, while he calls out her Bugged ideals as literal garbage, which caused this stupid war and his arrival in first place. Without giving a single damn about possibility of Bug watching this.

  24. Thanks for the chapter! I’m trully surprised to see the return of Tree of Punishment. It makes me wonder what they did or going to do to the other guys

  25. Don’t know what to say. If you’re knocked out, even though you’re an elf and transformed into a tree; will you wake up? I’m glad that Makoto was aware that something might happen and had measures in place. I would have liked it better if he’d been awake. But, I didn’t get where they planted the other 9 villains. Was showing Lime’s friend necessary? I might have to reread this because I might have missed something. Anyway, another one bites the dust and thanks for the chapter, Reigokai.

  26. Thank you Reigokai for all your hard work!

Well now, a pretty satisfying punishment for Rio. Forced to watch over all the children he wanted to break and destroy and seeing them grow up. It will tickle his disgusting desires but at the same time completely deny his ability to do anything, thereby causing an internal conflict (imagine having run a race/marathon without any water and then seeing bottles, after bottles of water parades in front of you but not being able to drink any) it will be literal psychological torture for however long his conscious remains.

Waka-same is gaining some humanity, he recognised that just because something was efficient and potent with some potential uses but realised it was unethical and for the very reasons that it was unethical refused to Perdue that option. Very good indeed.

I can’t wait to see how he develops further and what happens in the next few arcs. Will the war reignite (Hyumans vs. Demons) will Waka-sama ever meet the Apostles of the Bug? Will Waka-Sama ever actually get involved in the war?

  27. well the fact that makoto was gonna allow the use of torture techniques for interrogation but refused to do it due to overall sense of ethics shows he is thinking properly now instead of a emotionless maniac

  28. Thanks for the chapter!

•Error fix: “The dirt that Rembrandt-san has placed a lit on” to “placed LID on”

•I feel that his punishment wasn’t near enough, except if Makoto instructed the orphanage stuff to trim the tree every now and then as the people turned to trees still feel pain if you break the twigs and branches

  29. I’m now curious of would be the communication between Makoto and someone recently tranformed in tree, they supposedly maintain their will clear for sometime (I think it was some years) and slowly lost it. It’s just curiosity, it’s not like I want that Makoto speak with this, instead is so he never hear the voice of the bastard.

  30. “But Rio will always stay an adult! He said that when I give birth to a child, he would come take it. That when I become a granny, he would take my grandchild from in front of my face! A hyuman like me will be made a toy for the rest of my life to an elf like Rio!” (Seina)

Girl, really, there is a limit to how much bullshit you can buy.
