Chapter 220: The summoned one

“It is not a recalling one, but a summoning one?” (Makoto)

“Yes.”

“No doubt about it.”

Shiki and Tomoe nod at my question.

What’s going on?

After I had gotten heavily dizzy in the giant bath-house -I mean, at the demonic mountain’s hot-spring village, everyone had shouted *cheers of joy as they enjoyed the completed* hot springs, and we returned to Asora.

Ah, it became a play of words.

Leaving that aside, I received an explanation from Tomoe and the others, and I understood it in my own way, and on top of that, thought about it.

“That book said that it was a ritual to return a summoned one to their original world though…” (Makoto)

It is one of the books that I was shown a few days ago in the dwelling of the Superior Dragon, Waterfall, living in the Meiris Lake.

Within it, there was information of a ritual that had pretty important details for me.

The requirements were surprisingly severe, and it seemed to be a technique that seemed to only work on me and no one else, so I decided not to use it and show it to Tomoe and the others.

And the report I received from them was something I didn’t understand well.

It seems like it is not a recalling spell but a summoning one.

Truly, what the hell is going on?

“There’s no mistake in that description. We have confirmed it as well. Just that, the description was strangely ornated, and the result after investigating about this ritual and aria that felt like it was disguised, we learned that it was a summoning spell for a different realm.” (Tomoe)

“Moreover, it was a formula that didn’t require the aria, the necessary tools, catalysts, and the sacrifices. It was a spell formation that was quite different from its description, so we thought we should report it to Waka-sama.” (Shiki)

I see.

The first possibility I can think of is a misprint, but it seems like it is not the case this time.

It was in the library of a Superior Dragon after all.

In the first place, Waterfall seemed to be the diligent type, and she did give off the feeling like she was trying to avoid me, but I don’t think there’s merits for her in deceiving me.

If this were Root, he would pop a cracker and say: ‘you got it right!’ and bring out a second problem.

The other possibility I can think of is…

“…So it means…that this is a summoning to call someone that can return the summoner to their world?” (Makoto)

Why is it that I don’t feel that good about this?

“I think it is appropriate to conclude that.” (Tomoe)

“That’s how we think as well.” (Shiki)

So this is the right answer huh.

It is also something expected.

Of course, I did suspect that there was the chance the explanation of the ritual was a lie.

We don’t have a precedent that has tried out this, so it can’t be helped.

Is the ritual itself a lie, or is something coming out from it?

At the very least, there’s the chance that something could come out, so Tomoe and Shiki are on guard about that.

If it is something that these two can handle themselves, they would have already summoned it and continued with their investigation after all.

“And so, there’s the chance that something bad might come out, so you decided to report it to me first, right?” (Makoto)

“That’s right.” (Tomoe)

“Yes.” (Shiki)

By the way, the only ones here are Tomoe, Shiki, and I.

It seems like Mio went to prepare savory egg custards for me since I supposedly muttered about that in my sleep.

She seemed to be pretty hyped about it.

I just muttered it, so I don’t think she would become like that just because of it. I probably did something else aside from that.

I like savory egg custards, so if she is going to prepare them, I am happy though.

“Yeah. Let me say this first but, if we are to do it, I think something incredibly troublesome will be coming.” (Makoto)

“Right.” (Tomoe)

“It is Waka-sama after all.” (Shiki)

What an instant answer.

“…No wait, at that part, shouldn’t you at least make it less straight?” (Makoto)

“Waka has been picking up trouble as if you have been aiming at them from the beginning after all.” (Tomoe)

“There are times when you even surpass the expected worst case scenario. If that was the luck of the world, it wouldn’t be a laughing matter.” (Shiki)

“C-Calling it the epitome of worst is not a laughing matter either though.” (Makoto)

“Fortunately, Waka possesses toughness that can narrowly brush away those problems laughing.” (Tomoe)

They are truly saying whatever they want.

Even so, I have a strange luck to draw out the lowest of rates.

I feels like these rates are biased.

There’s definitely going to be a moment when something good happens, so I am not hung up on those things every time it happens.

“Well, since you guys say it is a summoning spell, wanna try calling it to see? We could ask about how to return and stuff like that.” (Makoto)

“What should we do about the cost?” (Tomoe)

“The cost huh. Hm… It would be hard to gather one thousand people unless we pick some in a battlefield somewhere.” (Makoto)

The easiest way would be to kidnap people from a place where they are killing each other.

The sacrifices will be dying, so buying slaves for that would not leave a good taste.

Different from soldiers and mercenaries, there are a lot of slaves that don’t have the resolve to throw away their lives.

“If it is someone that words can get through, there might not be the need to prepare the sacrifices, but it is practically as if the person itself is requesting it beforehand, so it is possible that we would be angering that person if we don’t.” (Shiki)

That’s true.

It is written that there’s the need to prepare it in this way in order to return to your former world, so if there’s plans on doing the ritual, there’s the need to prepare for it.

“Also, the place to do the ritual is also a problem. Should we do it in Asora, or would it be better to do it outside?” (Shiki)

Ah, there’s also that.

Since we are doing something big, it might catch the eye of the Goddess.

She has been strangely docile lately, but that doesn’t mean she is harmless.

She has a danger level and pain level of a first-class noxious bug.

Just that, it all depends on the indulgence of the other side and if the sacrifices have to be taken, so it would be better to do it in a suitable place.

Or more like, I can’t do something like this in Asora.

“If we want to avoid the eyes of third parties, it would be Asora. This place hasn’t been found by the Goddess yet. But the sacrifices are the problem.” (Shiki)

“Right. But why the need of sacrifices? I want to confirm if other things can be used, so it is the truth that it would give more peace of mind if it is in Asora rather than the outside where there’s the chance of someone seeing it.” (Makoto)

Because if the matter is related to magic power, I have plenty to throw.

If there’s no need for them to be people, then…I can just go to the wasteland and Kaleneon to mass capture mamonos.

If what’s clear is that the aria is a simple summoning spell, we can call it and confirm if it is actually a requirement in order to call it to this world.

“…It is not possible to call an existence higher than the Goddess, so if Waka prepares himself, the safest bet would be to try in Asora.” (Tomoe)

Eh?

Tomoe said something important as if nothing.

My resolve of trying in Asora hardened in an instant.

“An existence higher than the Goddess won’t come?” (Makoto)

Repeating her words, I confirm it with Tomoe once more.

I was internally scared that something like that trio of Gods might come out from this.

“The aria itself completes the process of the ritual composition. If someone in this world were to call an existence that surpasses the Goddess, there will definitely be a mechanism in the aria where it would ask for the permission of the Goddess first.” (Tomoe)

…I see.

In that case, there’s no need to worry about it so much huh.

Since the upper limit is something that’s lower than the Goddess.

“Then let’s do it in Asora. Just in case, at a place far from the town. We can have Tomoe and Mio protect the two towns.” (Makoto)

The two of them possess abilities fit for defense, so they are suitable for the job.

“We can have Serwhale protect the sea. Mio can protect the first town, and I would be able to accompany you.” (Tomoe)

That’s unexpected.

Does that mean she is worried about me?

Serwhale and the other sea races have pretty high defensive ability when they have the sea as their backing.

Even if their defensive power is not on the level of Mio, it is certainly true that they can be trusted.

If we were to classify Tomoe in defensive or offensive, it would be more of the defensive type though.

“That’s unexpected. Is it because you have investigated it, so you want to witness it until the end?” (Makoto)

“…Something like that.” (Tomoe)

“Understood. It seems like my help will be needed if anything happens, so you being there will make things easier.” (Makoto)

“Yeah, leave it to me.” (Tomoe)

“Shiki, how much can you prepare?” (Makoto)

“We have already done the necessary preparations, so the only thing that’s left is to do the aria. We have done the preparations in a place far away from the town, so it will take us time to move there though.” (Shiki)

“As expected of you guys. There wasn’t the need of me asking.” (Makoto)

They have already done the preparations.

With how things went, they probably prepared one outside as well just in case.

My respects.

◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆

There’s an ominous gate right in front of me that I would agree if it were called the Hell’s Gate.

I don’t know about the material it is made of, but it looks bony.

It is a double door, and at the top of the gate, an expressionless face is placed there.

The height is that of a 2 story building.

In other words, it is pretty big.

“In a sense, this is pretty easy to understand. I can see it as a gate to move between worlds.” (Makoto)

“That’s exactly what it looks like.” (Tomoe)

I got the agreement of Tomoe.

But well, it is not like anything will change with that.

There’s no followers of mine that would say this is of good taste, or that this is a fresh look for a gate, so I know that nothing will change much even if I got the response of someone.

We are currently at a wide grass-covered plain no race is living in.

This kind of place can be found in many parts of Asora.

We can even make explosion SFX scenes here.

“But since it has responded to the call, this is most likely a gate with a will. We can’t let our guards down.” (Shiki)

Shiki is serious.

Even without being told, with a gate like this, even I wouldn’t let my guard down.

“…This is the first time I have come to this place. It is a world that’s different from any of the worlds that have spread my spell formation. But…” (???)

Okay. I can clearly understand what he is saying.

Let’s question him.

“Nice to meet you. I am the one that called you here.” (Makoto)

“A mortal huh. Also…an undead, and a dragon. No, it is vaguely different. Mutated ones? Doesn’t seem to be the case. I see, you have received the ruling pact huh.”

As I thought, the face at the top is speaking.

It is slightly tiring on my neck, but well, that’s fine.

It seems like he is thinking, so maybe I should wait for a bit?

Ah, now that I think about it, I haven’t introduced myself.

Raidou -no, it is fine to use my real name.

“My name is Misumi Makoto. The ones here are my followers: Tomoe and Shiki. If it’s okay with you, can I hear your name?” (Makoto)

“…Samal. But in the first place, for us, there’s no point in names. By the way, where are the offerings?” (Samal)

Offerings. The thousand lives huh.

It came immediately huh.

“Samal-san, regarding that, why do you require the lives of a thousand?” (Makoto)

“It should have been written that it is necessary in the spell, right? Since we are here face-to-face, your side should have consented to that.” (Samal)

“We were told that this was a ritual to return a person, that has been summoned, to their original world. But when we investigated it, the ritual composition was a simple summoning spell, and so, for the sake of learning about it in more detail, we decided to call you here.” (Makoto)

He didn’t answer my question, but let’s go in a patient manner here.

At the very least, the presence this fellow gives is less than the one I felt from that Goddess and Athena-sama.

Instead of saying the pressure is weak, it is more like the wave it is giving off is calm. Well, it is something extremely subjective anyways.

“…If I didn’t hear you wrong, it sounded like you said: you called me as a test.” (Salma)

“The outline is correct. I thought that it would be an existence we could talk in this way, so I thought negotiations would be possible.” (Makoto)

“It seems like I have been heavily underestimated here. But, it seems like there’s enough lives here for one thousand. The quality is pretty good too. It can be covered plenty enough huh.” (Samal)

It was able to grasp the numbers of the Asora residents?

If it turns into a fight so soon, I honestly won’t be able to ask him anything.

From what I see, it is probably a special ability.

In that case, it is pointless to ask?

No, it is not like we can’t create a good relationship here.

“I first want to hear if you actually need the sacrifice of a thousand though.” (Makoto)

“Why do I need to tell a rascal like you?” (Samal)

Uh, it is the natural haughtiness that’s pretty popular between God-like existences.

I was thinking about suppressing him if he were to rampage, so I might be considered haughty as well though.

I feel a bad atmosphere from my front.

“You…”

“What did you…”

Both of my sides were dyed in a turbulent atmosphere as well.

“I was wondering if it can be resolved with magic power or something like that.” (Makoto)

“Magic power? Are you an idiot? What good would come from taking the magic power of others? There’s no way it would serve as a substitute for life, for the souls. A fool that doesn’t understand the machinations of magic power, how was it possible for someone like that to get his hands on the magic formation to call me?” (Samal)

“Idiot…”

“Fool…”

I thought that magic power was almighty or something like that, but it seems like it is not.

Sacrifices are already on the realm of the occult, so I thought that magic power which is practically on that same line would work in a lot of things though.

Like the magma pond in Kaleneon.

“Then, are the life of mamonos and plants counted as well?” (Makoto)

“…You have no saving. If it is not souls with strong desires, there’s no point. In other words, it has to be *mortals*, or a life that is closely related to mortals. Barely scraping would be until beast races.” (Samal)

“…”

In that case, it would be troublesome to gather them.

Even though Waterfall went through the trouble of showing me this knowledge, it might become a fruitless effort.

If there’s the need of sacrifices in order for Samal-san to show his power, I would need a thousand lives in order to go back and fro.

It is not a realistic thing to do.

“From what I see, you are quite the novelty. And it is not the first time I have met this presence.” (Samal)

He is someone I know?

I haven’t had any experiences with speaking gates in my whole life.

I have gotten used to speaking with a lot of things, but if it were in my time in Japan, it would be at a level to leave a trauma.

It is a matter of course since an eerie gate that can speak would come out from who knows where after all.

“No, I think this is our first time meeting.” (Makoto)

“Well then, I am not so free you see. I will overlook the deficiency of sacrifices. I will gather them from the vicinity and end it there. But Misumi Makoto, I won’t be cooperating with you. You didn’t compel with the contract after all. Be grateful that I didn’t punish you at the very least.” (Samal)

“That would trouble me. I can’t overlook that.” (Makoto)

“…You bastard, even after carefreely calling a deity like me, you will obstruct my actions that came from your own inadequacy? Ritual, contract, agreement; get that into your head.” (Samal)

It was a God?

It is my first time hearing the name Samal.

No idea what myth this God is from.

If it is a myth that’s not from Earth, I wouldn’t know in the first place.

“I just thought about negotiating the goods that we would be contributing from both sides.” (Makoto)

“Recall in exchange for sacrifices. Isn’t that pretty clear?” (Samal)

“The information about the recall is practically shrouded in darkness. Then wouldn’t it be obvious that we would want to ask about the thousand sacrifices as well?” (Makoto)

“Then don’t perform the ritual in the first place. ‘Ask and you will be answered’, a naive thinking like that doesn’t even work in the society of mankind either.” (Samal)

Uh.

Well, I do think it is the responsibility of both sides to read the agreements of the contract.

But a part of the utilization in the goods is completely dark, so it can’t be helped you know.

If it were the export of a top-secret military weapon, it would be one thing. Maybe teleporting between worlds…is a pretty incredible technique?

Even so, having a thousand gulped in a black box is just…

Yeah.

The sound-looking argument of the gate is harsh.

“Waka, doesn’t seem like the other party wants to talk. I think it would be better to have him fix his attitude first.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe, is that something you say while unsheathing your katana?

“Waka-sama, it is unproductive to keep company to something like a speaking gate. Don’t worry, I will show you that we can get the information Waka-sama wants even if he is wreck.” (Shiki)

Shiki, you are talking as if destroying it is already settled.

“So you can’t even discipline your retainers huh. Makoto, truly a foolish…hm? I see, it is you.” (Samal)

The gaze of Samal-san was in Tomoe and Shiki, and then returns to me.

What is it?

“I remember now. It was at the time when I was summoned before. It was a request from a certain Goddess, if I remember correctly, it was…right, a hyuman. She asked me to help out in bringing two failures of humans called ‘hyuman’ to the original world.” (Samal)

?

Two hyumans?

“You are the child of those two, right? So that’s why you had a presence I found familiar. Hmph, I see. That Goddess really likes playing around with dolls, but…” (Samal)

A despising gaze incomparable to any he gave before was poured down on me.

The child of those two?

Is he referring to my mom and dad?

Hey, does that mean…

“Even the peasant disposition is inherited huh. Trying to bend the vow in a ritual after the deal, that’s truly the thought of a failure.” (Samal)

“…”

He knows about the moment when mom and dad transferred worlds.

Also, did he say peasant?

It didn’t feel like it was a word directed only at me.

That means…

“If you have inherited the blood of the residents of that distorted world, it is a given that your brain is lacking huh. That Goddess, in the end, she send those two to the most harshest of worlds with the lowest survival rate -the Origin world. I didn’t care about who and where I send them, so I didn’t say anything though. A God is a guest of honor that’s better than souls after all. Umu, those two abandoned the world they were born in, went against God, and were single-mindedly pushing their own way of thinking. Truly hyuman-like.” (Samal)

“…”

I could tell that Samal -this gate- is talking trash about my parents.

Of course, it felt like he was also insulting the Goddess as well…but even so, this guy, speaking whatever it wants about mom and dad…

“I see, I see. So you are the one the Goddess said? That matter about taking away something important of them one day. Meaning, you were the pawn that was being raised by those parents in order to throw away?!” (Samal)

“…Shut up.” (Makoto)

My words leaked out.

“That’s funny. A person that is running an errand for that Goddess, in a place like this, has tried to haggle regarding the sacrifices and is trying to cling onto me? After being thrown away by your blood parents, you still want to meet them? How effeminate.” (Samal)

…Shut up.

Shut up Shut upShut up Shut upShut up Shut up!!

Who clung onto you?!

I only had some questions.

Someone like you that insults my mom and dad, I would definitely not rely on someone like that!!

I could tell that my body was being wrapped up by a peculiar sensation I have felt a number of times before, along with an intense anger.

My face was burning, and I could feel my head and body growing rapidly colder.

Ah, I see.

I am someone that can’t take abusive remarks towards my family huh.

My boiling point might have gotten even lower since I haven’t been able to meet them.

But this is already… This guy is just…

“I told you to shut up.” (Makoto)

“Do you wish to be counted in those thousand, you foolish son of mortals?” (Samal)

“You have a big mouth for a fake God that only talks about wanting thousand lives without even saying the reason.” (Makoto)

I have already stopped looking at his face, and spat those words facing the ground.

This guy is unforgivable in a Goddess-class.

I will crush him.

Shiki said that it is okay to wreck him.

“…Fine. Become the first sacrifice along with your retainers. Consider it an honor that you are able to become the stairs of mine.” (Samal)

“Tomoe, barrier.” (Makoto)

“Already done.” (Tomoe)

“No. The one already out is fine. Put enough spirit so that this guy won’t be able to escape. Understood?” (Makoto)

“…Y-Yes.” (Tomoe)

Tomoe stuttered in her words a bit, but she complied.

Okay.

I definitely won’t let him escape.

“Shiki.” (Makoto)

“Yes?!” (Shiki)

Why are you scared?

“You can go wild as a test for the rings. Try not to get dragged in it as well though.” (Makoto)

He told me before that there are still rings he can’t use properly.

“‘Try not to get dragged’? Don’t you mean ‘try not getting me dragged’?” (Shiki)

“It is exactly as I said.” (Makoto)

“U-Understood!” (Shiki)

I don’t think he will get a turn though.

I will be crushing this Omaru. Or was it Samal?

Who cares whichever it is.

It is a mere gate with an occult design.

It would be one thing if he called me an errand boy of the Goddess, but to go and insult mom and dad.

Don’t go dying until I kill you a thousand times over.

    1. You goofed hard gate. You goofed real hard.
Know the next chapter will be an exact example of a curb stomp fight, I dont read the raws, but I can see that Samal will get destroyed in more bits than the door in Monster inc.

    1. “During Test”

1.What was the thing summoned by the MC and what was its name?

      You: Oh I know this….

PS. This was a Science exam

          1. I don’t really know if he’s immortal, all I do know is that he’s from the 5th Dimension and can possess people… that second part might mean immortality?

      1. The cat is out of the bag now.
Sorry, I wrote those letters to cover the truth. And gave it to Mail Truck-san to deliver to you.
Couldn’t bring myself to tell you that… the … Spoiler-san is… he is… not here anymore.
        He’s gone.
        Dead.

        ……….
I wish he’s still with us.
        ……….

Stop crying! He’s not coming back anymore! I killed him. I had to!

  1. This guy’s IQ keeps on reducing per chapter if you don’t know the specifics then don’t do it if you do it then pay the price simple logic

    1. Eee if human do everything by the book nobody will found the plane, phone, etc nobody also will do research to do stuff because its not on book you’re the weird one…

    2. Not sure how you see them summoning that trashy gate as a stupid idea. The ritual they were given summons something to facilitate the transport between worlds, something that came as a surprise to Makoto since it was supposed to be transport ritual itself according to Waterfall. They know that whatever it summons is below the Bug in hierarchy and power, so it is something they can handle themselves if it whatever the ritual summons decides to get rowdy. With that in mind, why WOULDN’T they try out the summoning so they could negotiate with gate in an attempt to avoid having to sacrifice 1000 LIVING SOULS?

        1. If I remember correctly, Charon only needed a couple coins to pay for his services. 1000 souls? That’s obviously extortion. Just summoning Samal to ask questions shouldn’t take more than 10. I agree, Makoto should beat an understanding of the pecking order into this uppity lesser god.

          1. The coins you give Charon don’t even need to come out of your own pocket.

It’s all already arranged in your funeral and Charon is just sorta there as a way to separate beloved people from lives nobody cared for(or stingy bastards, I guess).

    3. I do agree it would be stupid normally. But we know that Makoto can already take on gods. Also they already investigated the threat level. So in this scenario, it isn’t stupid. Makoto clearly has the confidence he can crush Samael easy.

    4. dude you need to explore and experiment to get information, after that , you need to analize answer you got, and lastly you need to verify the result. then you make the book about what you learned. so you got a ponit but you idea is not all right okay. just saying.

    5. Not really, he’s got this enormous power to cling to if negotiations went wrong (He estimated that he could take him on). It’s foolish not to go on the ‘offensive’ when your in the advantageous position. Especially that he wants to gain something after all. (a world-level gate).

    6. well i kind of agree since it felt like Makoto just called for a pizza delivery and then ask the delivery man if it’s okey if he pays in gems rather than cash, and then he say he don’t actually feel like pizza today so he want that order canceled.

Samal have all reasons to be pissy about it, but if he’d grab the souls from asora he should also provide the service so he’s not completely in the right either but still makoto is super rude this chapter.

      1. But then in a pizza delivery you know you get pizza when you pay the money. Makoto was questioning the gate coz what he’s getting is not the same as what was ordered. Similar, yes coz the end result is almost the same but its not what was stated in the ritual. In this case it’s like you’re ordering pizza but what you get is a dude who came to the front of your house and made the pizza in front of you instead.
And in any transaction it is the right of any side to clarify in what they’re getting first before paying or buying something right? You’d ask questions too when ordering pizza..Not at the delivery man though.
But had to agree Makoto was quite rude too.

        1. well he got what was ordered, what he ordered was to go back to his realm for the price of 1000 souls, he called the guy to see if that was negotiable, while i can see why makoto did that i still find it basically as bad as my example.

    7. Makoto might be selfish, overpowering and stingy? (If u can say that for not wanting to kill others n sacrifice their souls) but not stupid though. In a way he doesn’t want to pay the cost stated if possible; so he wants to haggle. To do so he directly called the person who stated the price and tried to negotiate. But if negotiations failed he’s also willing to crush the person..that’s a bit mean though and a bit of a bully. But by no means stupid

    1. well to be fair, the emo door touched his nerves so a smack down was pretty much impossible to avoid.

  3. Holy shit I was not expecting this!

Things sure went from 0 to 100 really fast.

Bravo to Samal here. Angering Tomoe and Shiki by insulting Makoto is one thing, but he actually managed to piss off the Boss himself in a 3 minute long conversation. That’s already Goddess-class level of obnoxiousness.

I think she managed to cross the line faster, but Samal makes up for that difference with an amazingly plentiful and sizable death flags.

    …Kick his mullion, Makoto!

    1. You’re right. In some aspects, Samal is doing even better than the Goddess. As I recall, even she didn’t piss Makoto off this much.

Goddess => Made Makoto angry enough for him to swear revenge on her… Some day… When he feels like it… And he’ll be satisfied with a few good hits…

Tomoki => Made Makoto “mildly” annoyed. Makoto didn’t even bother wasting time on him before giving Tomoki some long overdue skinship, then immediately put him out of his mind.

Samal => Makoto was just thinking of replacing the doorway to his toilet.

I guess it’s true, the smaller they are, the louder they are. I suppose it also explains why Makoto is always so chill about everything.

  4. Thanks for the chapter. Any time makoto gets mad I get hyped. Can’t wait for the next chapther where he fucks shit up.

  5. thanks for the chapter

really why do i have a felling this gate becomes the next follower? ofc after he has seen hell a few times over

    1. You know what? I wouldn’t mind.

I don’t really care about Samal, but he would totally replace our bro Shiki as bottom bitch, and I’d be okay with that.

      1. If Samal became a follower, he will only became a ‘Makoto’s personal use slave gate for other world traveling’.

      1. Of course he is. His power is strong enough to warp the air around him if it is not controlled, at least it was back shortly after he arrived on that world. I can only imagine that he would cause madness in those not his followers if he removed all his restaints.

      2. He still does as instinct is hard to overcome. His aura is like seeing hundreds of demon lord and that info is old so it should be greater now.

  6. thanks….. but for this matter… Makoto is the wrong one…… He just summon something so that he can ask question? and ‘WOW!’ that goddess is really hate by everyone[gods]….. even her’s creation is an insult…. hahahahahaa……. what a funny story this chapter

      1. The Gods in the last extra chapter were also presented as easy-going likeable people, so you might consider Bug and the other one as old-styled Gods.

      1. Not anger, frustration.
Waiting for chapters is like sitting in rush hour traffic. You wait, then move foreward, then wait.
You never know how far you will travel before you have to stop and wait again. This one was like think getting up to almost the speed limit, then having to jam on the brakes. Sigh….
But its always worth the wait.

          1. I think it’s because the people wanted to reach their destination quickly in that hour. In other words… peeps wants to ‘RUSH’ their way off the highway… he? How bout that?

  7. oh…
this is has to be in the top 5 worst cliffs ever… if not the top cliff… oh man… makoto is mad. makoto is going to go all out! someone is about to get rekt! (what are the odds of a 4th follower?)

    1. I’m actually not mad about the cliff though. Rather than something as annoying as a “hanger”, it’s more like the episode ended mid-leap from one cliff to another.

        1. All the more time to imagine it with.

Kukuku…An arrow? It can’t be the head since Makoto plans to give him 1000 KOs before killing him…Well, Shiki could probably…or…

    2. ywah the view from the top of the cliif is perfect to wacth the “fight”, can you imagine a door getting bitch slaped? i think i can’t. so back to the ponit what a nice cliff.

    1. Kraken: What?! They’re releasing that?! *shivers* May the gods have mercy on their poor souls, they won’t deserve punishment after HE is done with them.

      1. To punish is to weigh against sin. To discipline is to burn away the weight of transgressions. To judge is to forgive.

A wrathful Makoto will withdraw his hand, leaving whatever survived as if it hadn’t done wrong at all.

….Whoa. I don’t know where I was going there. I barely remember writing this. ….Umm…

        1. Yeah, I get like that when I talk about Schera-sama…AlL haIl Schera-saMA! ALL HaiL THE goDDesS of DEAtH!…What were we talking about again?

  8. Damnit, dannit, dannit.
It just just about to get good too.
I agree. I think that, after a thorough beating, he will becone the next follower. The god the visited him after he used “creation” hinted that the next one would be something we hadn’t seen.
Thank you for the chapter, and as always, i look forward to your next release.

  9. Damn his switch just been flipped EVERYONE RUN FOR YOUR LIVES cause an asshole samal just fucked up pong….
    Thanks for the chapter pong!

  10. oh shit! we gonna see a Deity-tier Makoto go all out on this scrub! i cannot wait for the next chapter, it’s gonna be hype as fuck.

  11. Thanks for the translation, Reigo-senpai

I just want everyone to know that Raiza is lying. Spoiler-san is still alive, I get letters via Mail Truck-kun.

          1. You never know when you might need a group’s specialty work with something.
It’s always a good idea to have an idea of who knows who…just in case.

    1. A good warning sign that you might have pissed off the wrong person.
Is if you are a god like existance and the mortal you are insulting just said:
“Don’t let it get away when it tries to run.”

    1. You know, these stories usually have super haughty god characters, but does that actually make sense? You’d think living in the realm of godhood means you can’t afford to piss people off.

      1. That’s actually why lesser gods like this scrub is so haughty. Their at the bottom of the food chain, so when they come to the mortal realms, they lord over the mortals to make themselves feel better. And the reason the Goddess is like that is because she’s an idiot.

  12. Thanks for the chapter. This is interesting. It seems that the Gate does not need sacrifices to send someone over sense he done it before with Makoto’s parents. But we know in the next chapter. The reason why Makoto’s parents were sent over was because they wanted to rebel against the Goddess. It is no wonder why she did not like Makoto or she does not know yet who Makoto true is, but chances are she might have forgotten Makoto’s parent’s. In her eye’s they are probably are not worth to remember.

    1. actually you should read the extra chapters and side stories were in 1 o them they explain a lot of why his parents wanted to leave that world and its preetty interesting

      1. Do you have a link to that side story. I have being reading the side stories but that one I have not read just yet.

      2. just check the ToC of reigokai at the upper, there’s the link of Sidestories chapter (the one with the parents is chapter 4 of sidestories in lightnovelbastion but be warned, it reeks the smell of NTR so brace yourselves)

    2. Go read the side stories. Makoto’s parents weren’t a rebel. It was properly explained in the side stories about why they were sent to the other world. I don’t know where you got that rebeling against the goddess come from. Or just that i skipped it. But the main reason on why the bug slept is related to them. Also Makoto is a noble and a son of a priestess

      1. I have readied the side stories about I have not read the side story of that event yet because I do not know if has been posted. I kind of think of “Arifureta” with Liberators and the Mad God.

        1. It was poset as a pov i think. Its a full chapter of his parents. There is also a chapter about his sister pov the older one. Which we believe is the cause for his older woman preference.

    3. You can check out the sites and links of most of the translated tsuki extras n POVs on novelupdates.com
They’ll link you to most of the respective sites

      1. I found that chapter and did read it. I totally forgot about that chapter. But after reading it again it kind of left me wondering what cause the Demons to go to war with hyumans? What cause the Goddess to fall into slumber? And if the parents were sent into the gate did in not need 1,000 lives in order to work or did the Goddess at that time used her own powers to send them?

      2. After reading again I realize that the mother was involved with another Demon romantically. Then later on that Demon was killed there is a good chance that the Demon was someone of high position and the mother sense she was priestess was that someone from the church might have killed him. If so then this might be the trigger in what started the whole hyuman and demon war.

        1. By what Zef explained the reason for the war wasn’t something as simple as the dead of a Demon Noble, the cause had to be something bigger to influence the whole race even swallowing down the oposition. And by what has been told about the whole affair I think the only one that got involved emotionally in the demon/priest affair was Makoto mother, the Demon was even rubing in Makoto father face all the thing he did to her, not mutch respect or care for your partner there.

          1. It was kind of an idea. Since sometimes in these so called anime or manga starts with something like that. Sort of like “Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood” when Envy disguise herself as Central Soldier and shot that child in public to start that war. Or sort of like how the war between the colonies (in space) and the Earth Sphere Alliance in when OZ killed that diplomat who was untied the colonies cause the problems between them (and led the Gundams to fight on Earth) in “Gundam Wing”. Of course I do not know who this Demon is that was killed. He might have being like a priest to spirits or something like that. I agree the whole affair was between the mother and the demon.

          2. Where did the Demon that starting mocking his mother and the demon into his father come from? I do recall it was in the Extra but the Demon was revealing things to the father that he knew about the mother, but I am not to sure if he was bragging about it or he was trying to convince him that he was in love with her.

          3. Well the chapter wasn’t explicit about it but the way it said that the Demon reveled thing of her that not even the fiance knew, for me was like:
            – Demon: Dude that girl is fineeee!!!
            – Makoto Dad: Whaaattt!!!!!??
            – Demon: Your fiancee man!!!!! She got that bouncing booty!!!!!!!
            – Makoto Dad: WHAT!!!!!!?????
            – Demon: And the way it claps, when you hit that from behind!!!!hmmm…..
            -Makptp Dad: WHAAAAA!!!!!!!!????

          4. Believe it or not, it started as a serious comment, something came over me to make that joke there.

  13. “Yeah. Let me say this first but, if we are to do it, I think something incredibly troublesome will be coming.” (Makoto)

    “Right.” (Tomoe)

“It is Waka-sama after all.” (Shiki)

Makoto get new title Bad Luck Makoto

hmmm i smell new servant from the bony Gate

Make it Do a dogeza makotooo, even it is a Gate
    No Mercy……

  14. Well seems like this guy will be the new companion probably, seems all of Makoto’s companions have fought with him at some point lol. But on a more serious note any1 think this guy is an angel possibly? Or maybe a devil based of the gate’s description? Seems obvious hes not a God so im thinking either and angel or devil.

      1. Erm, the one done by same guy who made the Sandman series.. Bar owner Lucifer… and also that tv series is quite a nice show too.

  15. We all knew that gods are arrogant, but this guy is so dumb that he didn’t even check makoto’s power? Well wrecking a fake god is going to be a good traning for when he faces the bug

    1. that’s because makoto always has it hidden with sakai that’s a power given by tsuki-bro, so a lesser god can’t see how powerful makoto really is

  16. hmm, Makoto trying to kill deities existence (based from what that gate said) then how the other gods responses? if he really godlike existence isn’t that mean Makoto doing something bad to the whole universe O_o

    1. Well from Makoto’s meeting with that trio of gods I’m thinking they will probably throw a party in Makoto’s honor for his excellent thrashing. Let’s face it, this gate is a jerk, I doubt anyone likes him.

    2. The gate say something like Makoto is an errand boy of goddess, but he himself is an errand gate of gods or even everyone and maybe idiot people who can or accidentally summon him.

  17. lol…

i am curious how makoto give the second tier god a beating….

thx 4 the chpt.. and now i am waiting for the next chapter of PLIC

  18. Makoto kinda deserves being talked down to like that. “Oh, I’ll just perform a satanic ritualand then ask it about the sacrifices afterwards!” Umm…duh? Don’t trust satanic rituals? Especially one given to you by someone that you admitted yourself is uncomfortable with you? Did he even watch any movies while living on Earth? Has he heard of the horror genre? Sometimes he really doesn’t think about what he’s doing, so he can’t get mad at being called dumb this time… At least an interesting fight is coming…

      1. I dunno…Makoto doesn’t actually seem like he’d be afraid of much due to his “killing mode”.

He wouldn’t actively go watch, but if friends tried to troll him with gore stuff, he might eerily go through it without flinching.

    1. While I don’t agree with the commenters saying Makoto making a bad move (of doing this), I agree with you that Makoto deserves to be talked down like that… he should realize that it’s a possibility.. then again Makoto is that ‘let’s cross that bridge when we get there kind of guy’ after all..

  19. Really…… so this is the mastermind that brought c*rse talk into the buggess and his parent that we think getting it down and now HELL LORD(makoto) have rise into LAW and TIME dimension.

P.S. I think none of us can’t wait for conclusion of the battle.

Cliffhanger-san is running after truck-kun to DESTROY.

  20. As much as I am looking forward to Samal’s (Samael?) inevitable beatdown, I gotta say: he’s one of the most reasonable summoned gods/demons I’ve ever seen.

He lays it out up front: “If you want to summon me, there’s a cost of 1000 lives.”
Sure, 1000 lives is a ridiculous amount. But then, JUST DON’T DO IT.
(Come to think of it, if Samal took Bug’s life energy to transport Makoto’s parents, that would explain why Bug had to sleep for 10(?) years. And think about this: Even Bug (sorta) adhered to the contract price. Why wouldn’t Samal expect a mortal to have to do the same?

Makoto didn’t prepare anything other than magic, and Samal wasn’t even going to try to kill them until they started insulting each other.

If you’ve ever seen anything in popular culture with a demon summoning, you not only have to prepare a sacrifice, but you have to sacrifice first AND put in some barriers as a precaution to keep the demon from killing you until the contract is set.

    1. I don’t think Makoto thought he was summoning a demon though(despite 1000 souls being a big red flag). He didn’t even know this guy had anything to do with his parents.

He’s reasonable by his own terms, I agree. But from Makoto’s perspective he’s being pretty unreasonably hostile too. Instantly starts insulting Makoto for asking what the terms even were.

    2. Well it’s that you know…don’t make a contract and negotiate with a gangster unless you can trash them about easily

      1. Well sure. I think that’s what Makoto and the others were confirming before they did the experiment. Although, unless they were certain Makoto is at least as powerful as Bug, they were still being a little rash. (For instance what if the current power levels were Makoto < Gate < Bug?)

I'm just saying: as contracted demons in popular fiction goes, Samal's pretty "ok." A jerk, but otherwise honest and straightforward. No hidden catch, no sneaky language, not even a threat on the summoner's life (until Makoto got all uppity.)

    1. Demons themselves can be considered a type of god, or divine entity. It’s just there are some gods that are antagonistic to each other, so the cultures that are built around them view their god’s enemies as demons. Take Beelzebub for example. To the Abrahamic religions, Beelzebub is a demon lord of hell, but the Canaanites viewed him as Baal, their god of weather and harvest. So it isn’t really breaking divine laws for gods and demons making deals or treaties, that’s like police having a CI, or two antagonistic countries working together for whatever reason.

      1. Oh wow. Beelzebub and Baal refer to the same thing? I didn’t know that.

My image of Baal is some sort of bull/minotaur creature. My image of Beelzebub is a glutton demon that looks like a giant fly.

        1. There are times when he was called Baalzebub, or Beelzebuth. Although the second is probably a mispronunciation, and the changes in the vowels probably come from a similar mispronunciation.

  21. Samal hmmmm my smt instinct is telling me it might be the dragon? Sameal or something??? And could this be the 4th follower the one that will be bullied for life lol. Hope the story dont end up into something stupid like tate ending. That ending felt like it was rushed

  22. Wait…How does a door even fight?!

Well, it’s not like he’ll have a chance to do anything. Makoto’s ready to rampage and his followers are angry.

It’s almost a shame that Mio isn’t here, but she can prepare the celebratory Savory Egg Custards. …Damn. Now I’m in the mood for Egg Custard. Anyone know how to make those?

    1. Maybe something like door of babylon haha

I bet after samal getting taken care off, when they back makoto will greet mio as usual, while shiki and tomoe keeping their head down shivering.

  23. why1!!! whay asda ad givewww meeeee moreeeeeeeeea sdfafkañfmaasdasdasdasdsdasd
that clifffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff sdalsdñalsmdñasmdñasmd asmdñamfa i am dyinggggggggggggggggggg

    thanks…! x_X

  24. RIP samal you will be met with your cousin the “death’s door”

this chapter marked the second time makoto getting seriously pissed off even tomoe and shiki getting scared hahaha, if this scene animated with dragon ball style it will be really hilarious…makoto wearing nagisa(assasination classroom) expression but with dark ki leaked out.

    1. I think the first time was when makoto ask tomoe and mio to rescue toa but they keep dilly dallying, at that time they also scared after seeing makoto expression.

  25. So I would like to assert that the most badass prelude to curbstomp battles is locking the room down to keep the victim from escaping. Anyone want to contest with something better?

…Hmm. Say, people seem to be thinking that Samal is going to become Makoto’s fourth follower. I don’t know yet, but if that’s the case, does that mean the War god trio saw what’s going down right now? If so, that’ll put Samal in a bit of an awkward position…

Actually, the three gods-or at least the two Destruction gods, seem to be able to traverse branching timelines and see the future. How do you suppose they perceive things? I don’t think Bug can see the same things they can or she’d be much more wary of Makoto after seeing his alternate selves.

  26. Someone is about to get schooled and seriously wrecked. Talk about my mom and dad will you? How did this deity or whatever not see the power this guy is carrying? Next chapter should be a barn burner for sure, can’t wait.

  27. Makoto VS God….Round 2!!!!!!!!

If Chiyo was seeing the later half of this conversation with that eye power of hers, she would have screamed, soiled herself, wet herself, passed out, and had a heart attack all in less than 2 seconds.

Also is Samal the 4th Servant, or is he just a trial run for Makoto to take on the Goddess? If he is not the next servant, then I feel like when Hibiki summons Samal to try to send Makoto away he is just going to go “Oh, hell no” and warp straight out of there.

      1. Considering how much Tomoe’s Asora ability has changed after becoming Makoto’s subordinate, Samal may not even need the sacrifices to travel between worlds afterwards.

        1. Okay, the thing about Makoto actibg humble is that he only applies that to himself.

Personal insults, he doesn’t really care about and even agrees with on occasion. But it’s been shown many times that he’s actually fiercely protective of people he considers himself close to.

  28. waaaaaa… that way of talk shit really put me really, reaaaaallly furious… i just hope, that Samal get’s what he deserve for talking shit…
“the fish dies by his own mouth”, the way we say it in Spanish, is like “El pez muere por su propia boca”

Thank’s Reigo-sensei, this chapter made my day really good and now i having a contest inside my mind about the way Makoto will take down Mr door.

    Incooming!!!!!!!

  29. OMGGGGGGG !!!!!!

First, that opinion of the world and the creations of the goddess bitch, there are several gods believe that it is garbage that world. In the extras it is known that regulations must be made to go to another world, but to carry humans or hyumans perhaps the god has to pay with power or something else to make the transfer. The goddess did not sacrifice 1000 hyumans for Makoto parents, she has to pay something because the gods complained that humans in other worlds cause many changes in those worlds.

Second, samal tu eres samael? (How much power can you use in that form 50% or 70%) Go opponent to Makoto. It seems that something does not respond when makoto is damaged but his emotions, then when makoto angry when talking to the goddess bitch along with shiki, that something came out and makoto changed a little. Then makoto will change after this fight, tomoe and shiki felt terror. Poor tomoe will not be able to dominate the cause of what will happen, if his followers come to fear makoto, that will start at the end of this story.

Finally, the new follower will be samal or after the overwhelming defeat to Makoto and be half dead, this will beg for mercy and will bring him a follower that can be useful for the transfer between worlds.
And then this samal will be an antagonist to Makoto.

  30. Quote
“Magic power? Are you an idiot? What good would come from taking the magic power of others? There’s no way it would serve as a SUBSTITUTE FOR LIFE, for the souls. A fool that doesn’t understand the machinations of magic power, how was it possible for someone like that to get his hands on the magic formation to call me?” (Samal) —
    Shiki: …. whut?

  31. well then, occult door has a tude that doesn’t lend itself to negotiations… how was it able to make a deal with that goddess and her good looks make you better than everyone else attitude?

      1. i suppose so, to bad the door can’t sense the power of an op mc. or he would realize he is inside a pocket world created by the mc’s contracted servant’s skill. idk about the goddess but no matter who you are, having an underling own a realm as big as Asora should be a power statement.
you would think he could sense something like that bouncing around worlds on demand for a thousand souls all the time.

      1. I think it’s a matter of time, considering there are already one about vending machine…i’m not suprised there will be one about door hahaha xD

  32. Not long after Tomoki being beaten, we can see gate again not by Makoto alone but with Shiki too. This cliff really at right place
    Thanks for chap

  33. To those that call Makoto Beta…

I can finally say this after this chapter:
He isn’t Beta, he is just too okay with everything.

Now, when his parents were insulted, he just explode in the most extreme manner.
He didn’t care if it is god or what, he will think of doinf everything he could to annihilated the opposite party.

So, i seriously hope that hibiki, tomoki and any ppl/invader-to-be do notstupidly lay their hand on kuzunoha or asora.

They are asking for thr worst possible death.

Well, this trigger me to wonder…
If the crack/abyss that chiya sees is actually this anger.
The moment u break his usual disposition, u are asking for the worst outcome,

    1. Yeah, that was how I understood it most of the time.

Makoto isn’t submissive, he’s just got really lenient standards on what’s acceptable, at least, compared to a lot of other people.

        1. I’m actually a big fan of this concept for some reason. There’s a lot of fascinating explanations for “why” nice people are particularly scary when they’re angry is a real thing.

The first and most obvious reason is repression. They act nice and forgive people, but that’s only because they’re bottling up their feelings until it comes gushing out at breaking point.

The second explanation I’ve heard is necessity. Basically, there’s a good reason they can’t afford to get angry, so these people take great care maintaining self-control.

The last thought process that matches this is the “peace making” attitude. For the sake of overall peace, a person lets offenses slide where they can. When a certain line is crossed, however, the response flips to opposite extreme of using very harsh retaliation to restore peace as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

    2. i think of makoto just as a strong person that can hurt people easily without him noticing
well you know, in soccer you use your body contact as means to defend the ball right
imagine the contact is between a kid and an adult. the adult felt like he was just brushing the kid off a little but the kid will feel it was a foul since he got blown off

  34. OMG this incoming battle is sending chills to my spine. Well at least now we probably know who is going to be the new servant of Makoto.
Btw the way I forgot the most important thing: Thank You for the translation!

  35. Thanks 4 the chapter!

The Hulk reference has already been made. So…
It’s the timid ones you have to lookout for! Some of them, if they snapped can be very scary.

  36. I was expecting a new servant to be summoned and come out, but now it looks like the new servant is the door if my guess is correct after he beat and make it submit, a door will be a very unique servant. When the door came out it reminded me of FMA. Thanks for the chapter. =)

      1. oh thanks. didn’t think it would work on that site…. google translates really badly when it comes to japanese and finnish.

  37. Noooo….. cliffhanger-san!!! Would the asora resident be okay? It would be bad if that happen. Dont tell me raidou managed to kill samel and replace him as god?
    Thank you!

  38. So I have a technical question related to the fourth follower speculation.

If Makoto overpowers the other party enough to absorb them, do you think he would gain the abilities of the other party? For example, if he absorbed Tomoe, would he get the full Shen set of abilities with the memories and illusions? Or if he absorbed Mio, would he get her super regeneration?

I’m mainly thinking about how any of them would accept Samal as a follower at this point, and the idea of them trying to have Makoto “eat” him for his world-traveling power kinda makes more sense.

    1. …. very logical conclusion.
I was also hoping for new follower with this gate, but your reasoning are solid, it will make much more sense to buy the whole cow for milk than just buy the milk if you can afford the trouble and the money.

      1. …Heh. And it’s just occurred to me that Shiki’s whole search for graunts has been because he wished to go off to a different world.

Funny how unlife turns out sometimes.

    2. By the way, Psychronia, I’d like to have a more convenient way to talk about stuff with you. What’s your facebook’s account name?

By stuff, I mean anything ranging from hobbies, interesting discussion topics(myths, lovecraftian horrors, etc), recommanding series to each other, etc.

  39. Shiva told Makoto he would be taking in a new follower some chapters ago, would be fun if Makoto had him bound by a ruling pact too after kicking his ass. Thanks for the chapter.

  40. Lol
    Poor gate….
You let out very trash words and you will pay dearly for this nicely….
Lol makoto, “tomoe watch out the barrier,,,,”
    “Yes…. it’s done”
“Not that, put more powa so he will not run away”
    “….yes….”
“Shiki try to not get dragged”
“You mean don’t dragged me, right ? ”
    “I mean what I said ”
    “….yes…”
poor shiki, your boss tell you use the rings in order of not getting crushed like side effect of makoto anger….

      1. Tomoe, Mio, and Shiki are very different people, with very different priorities. But there is one thing they have in common, they all love to watch Makoto show off his power (Root actually gets off on that shit, so he also has that in common with them). So I must agree, Mio will be very displeased to learn that she missed this.

  41. Such cliffhanger, very tension, wow.

I’m glad I can read Japanese, cuz now I’m not as tortured as the people here. I went to read the next chapter’s raw straight away after I read this chapter. Very satisfied, 10/10.

      1. Spidey it is actually better to download TA(Translation Aggregator) jparcer mecab and atlas, spend 30-40 min at understanding how it works and read at way better quality than shitty google translate.

      1. Nothing that can make you read tsuki easily. This is pretty hard for me to read too, and I read JP textbook daily.

    1. FEEL THE WRATH OF THE TRUCK !!!

      *Woosh! Bam!*

Wait, did she spoil anything? Nevermind. ’10/10′ is spoilish enough.

      1. No. You give ratings for a chapter we haven’t read. You give it 10 even.. now people are pestering Reigokai for double release.
You incite this. That’s the crime.

*I can’t punish the terrifying Cliff(hanger)-san. So you will be the scapegoat*

  42. I can say that Makoto is a fool… If that door was an spirit like a ghost or something immaterial, where he can’t use strength or magic to defeat it, then all the people in Asora were death by now… Really…

    Thanks for the chapter…

  43. thanks for the translation Reigo-san
Damn talking gate gonna be thrashed and heres me hoping hes gonna be the 4th servant to be lol
and damn this cliff hope we get our fix soon.

  44. Thanks for the chap.

It is rare to see Godkoto to be angry. Gotta prepare the camera.

Who else fell to the cliff?

  45. After “Man versus Wild” we have “Man versus Gate”: a show that shows how to handle something at the door, like door-to-door sellers, fanatic/insidious religious propagandists, and even the door itself!!! :

    – “Give me a thousand mailmen as sacrifice and I’ll open up…”
    – “WTF?! I’ll burn your ass down and see if you don’t open…”

    And thanks for the chapter.

  46. I will be crushing this Omaru. Or was it Samal?

Agree with several others who have suggested that Samal might actually be Samael:

Samael (Hebrew: סַמָּאֵל‎, “Venom of God” or “Poison of God,” or “Blindness of God” Sammael or Samil) is an important archangel in Talmudic and post-Talmudic lore, a figure who is an accuser, seducer, and destroyer, and has been regarded as both good and evil.

But what is Omaru alluding to? That name hasn’t appeared before in the story, has it?

    1. Samal is written in Japanese as Sa-ma-ru, so O-ma-ru is like a play of words. Also, on a quiet search, Omaru means chamber pot–something like mobile toilet. So, it’s an insult.

      1. There’s this add-on in Firefox, Rikaichan. Though it’s kinda tedious, it helps a lot in reading japanese, so… yeah, already read the next chapter. Really awesome xD

  47. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………Such a cliff hanger…..If ever I wanted 2 chapters one time, now is that time.

THANKS FOR THE CHAPTER BTW BUT STILL, WE GET TO SEE A SERIOUS MAKOTO FOR THE FIRST TIME….I WANT TO SEE PLEASE!!

  48. I don’t know if it has come to your attention, but I saw a post in reddit showing that someone from Patreon is scamming people and claiming your and konobuta’s translations as their own.

    1. What?!!!!! That infidel we must go and execute them!!!!! (Not literally)
      Burn them!!!!!!
*grabs a lit torch and a pitchfork*

  49. Makoto, you’re still saying things like “soldiers and mercenaries are resolved to die”, but that’s just not true. Soldiers aren’t resolved for death, they’re resolved to stay alive through fighting, and to keep their families alive through contribution. Why do you hate the military so much, Makoto?

    1. fuck not clear enough what i mean is every soldier is compelled to resolve themself for their country if it’s necessary, it’s what they sign up for but as you know human is afraid of death sooo yeah

      1. A soldier heads to the battlefield to achieve a mission and then return home. They understand that they could be killed, but unless they have signed up for a suicide task there is the understanding that there will be an exit point and upon success life will be retained. And suicide tasks are unusual, because no country likes to lose a resource it’s invested so much time and money in.

Let’s face it, Makoto just has a really childish idea of what soldiers are and his casual disregard for their lives because they are soldiers is disconcerting (and he has made mention of this more than once). It’s fitting for a naive Japanese high schooler I suppose…. but still just wrong.

    2. If you have read the side story about Makoto’s parents, you will know it’s true. It was stated that the goddess sacrificed 1000 people for it. Also, the reason and circumstances around their transfer is one of the most dumb thing ever.

      1. It was stated that those who use exactly this shitty spell have to sacrifice 1000 people.
It was never stated that goddess sacrificed people.
It was never stated that goddess used this spell.

  50. Thank you Reigokai.

Back from the sea, just in time to catch up a double release and an awesome Makoto centered chapter. Ha! It’s a good day to be alive. This would be great, if not for the cliffhanger. Can’t wait for the next one! 😁

So… the Goddess used that a**hole door to transfer Makoto and previously his parents. When Makoto rekt this door next chapter, does that mean that he also loses any chance to return to Origin world? Hopefully they can make a new door from the corpse of this door. I’d call it Dokodemo Door. 😆

To anyone who wished that the door becomes Makoto’s 4th True Servant… you will be wrong, but worry not cause a better candidate will come after this! Not this a**hole of a broken door. Someone ‘better’.

    1. The Goddess didn’t use the door to summon Makoto, she contacted at god of Earth directly and worked with him to open the gate between the two worlds. The fact that she had opened a gateway with the help of a local god is what gave her the opening to grab Tomoki and Hibiki. The Buggess used the gate to send Makotos parents to Earth because she was doing so without making a deal with the Earth resident gods.

  51. Well the unsaid implication was that his parents had the blood of 1000 sacrifices on their conscience as the cost of their transfer to our world.

I wonder if that issue will be brought out sometime later?

    1. No… the door said that the Goddess’ request is better than 1000 souls. So… he was actually sucking up to her. He transfer them free of charge, as requested by the Goddess. He don’t even need the sacrifice. He was just talking big in front of MC, and he did belittle the Goddess world and creations. But a bootlicker non the less.
I don’t feel sorry for him.

    2. If you have read the side story about Makoto’s parents, you will know it’s true. It was stated that the goddess sacrificed 1000 people for it. Also, the reason and circumstances around their transfer is one of the most dumb thing ever.

      1. I read the side stories.
Did I missd the line saying that the Goddess sacrifices 1000 people? I don’t remember. If that is true Mob, then there is no other way to transfer world / isekai after Makoto breaks that damn door. Oh no…

  52. More Makoto actually using powers. Nice. Looking forward to the next like two chapters.

Also; Did you ever decide on a new novel to pick up?

  53. okay ~ the Crack will get Bigger ~ thank you Fake God ~ your Arrogance is really God-Class….. and thank you so much for make Makoto’s “Awakening” Happen much early ~
that thing say that meeting that “Bug” is a Honor? just meeting the Bug is a honor….then what happen if that thing meet with 4 Supreme God… i think that thing will piss itself…. LOL
pfft…. then Meeting with Makoto is a Honor too?…. he’s a existence that liked by 4 Gods……. and who got Blessing from all of them…. and you insult him….. “errand of Bugs”
no matter what….. is one thing to insult us… but insult the Parents who raising us painstakingly with love….. even the Gods will rage you know……
well… as expected from Fake God….. its eyes got clouded by outer appearance alone…. not seeing the inside….

  54. Well now, the mc gets a practice run with a gate class god… the ira of other gods to follow.
    “You broke our transportation highway!”

    1. No. It is yokai class gate which was given the status of god.
So it is like junior school child given status of firefighter for calling about a fire.

  55. During Fight
Makoto : Shiki, prepare healing aria
Shiki : but waka-sama, you seem not having any injuries
Makoto : not for me, for that door. It mustn’t die yet

  56. I love how even Tomoe and Shiki was scared shitless. They were usually proud of Makoto displaying his “godlike’ power, but this time they went “oh shit oh shit oh shit”, so you know Makoto is going waaaaaay past ‘godlike’ right now.

  57. Sammael is an arch demon in Christian bible stories and the titles listed are not to be sneezed at. But, our boy has fought or sparred with a genuine goddess of wisdom and war, Athena. She was surprised by his magical ability. This door has totally pissed off Makoto by first talking in an insulting manner about his parents and then him. Dying a thousand deaths sounds quite possible in this situation for this door.Kick the crap out of this thing. How do you bitch slap a door?

    1. yeah, if the door is actually the poison of god, he pretty much is god class.

to bad that Makoto bases his definition of gods powerlevel on a comparison to a god of war, a god of destruction, the god of storms and a creator god. Maybe Tsuku-bro aswell, but that guy is worshiped by all gods of all heavens, and most pantheons collapsed due to overwork when he got sick, so his powers is not to be sneezed at…

      1. Heck, if I remember correctly, Susanoo said(in one of the Extra chapters) that Tsukuyomi is a superhuman(not literally that, since in Japanese it would probably be a “super person” rather than “human”) and that there are more than 24 hours in each of Tsukuyomi’s days.

Also, since time cycles are often associated with moon cycles, I think Tsukuyomi has the ability to at the very least slow down time itself, and probably has that active at all time. I mean, he WAS helping out nearly every divine groups on Earth all the time in plus of doing his own work.

        1. I more interpreted that 24 hour comment as Tsukuyomi just being that damn good at what he did.

It only takes him one hour to do what might take another pantheon of gods 4 hours. Some crazy efficiency like that.

Tsukuyomi is clearly a parallel to Makoto himself, so what probably happened was that he diligently did his work during his early years and gradually got better and better at it until it became borderline reality warping(even from gods perspectives).
