“I have come to suggest retirement, is what I said, Lord Algurio.” (Joshua)
The words of the guest that Algurio brought in were so unexpected that he asked again.
But the words that were returned weren’t that different from before.
The day that Raidou and the Kuzunoha Company left Limia, there was one guest at the Hopelace’s residence in the southern part of the kingdom.
The current Head of the Hopelace household, Algurio Hopelace, had returned to his territory in the time that Raidou’s group was in the capital, in order to prepare for the welcoming of the guest.
Then he should have finished that business when they were in the capital, is the illogical action Raidou would most likely suggest.
Just that, when a noble takes an appointment, there’s a specially troublesome custom of one side visiting and the other receiving.
Joshua feels like that’s troublesome too, and Hibiki who has accompanied him also feels the same inside.

Hibiki who’s here on the pretext of being the bodyguard of Joshua, and the knight that works for the Hopelace household, were in standby outside the room.

Algurio maintains silence
In this occasion, his silence affirmed what Joshua has pointed out.
He immediately knew that the amount of information and basis of Joshua were not a bluff.
That’s why he decided not to respond by reflex and just wait and see what the other party has to play.
The silence also signified this.

If you are saying that I would be ignoring that stupid ‘joke’ you guys did there at that time, you are seriously wrong.” (Joshua)
“You are going to feign ignorance till the end? Isn’t that quite the poor treatment there.” (Algurio)
“Doing crafty actions towards the guests that the royal family had invited to express their gratitude, isn’t that quite the deed? If it’s you who has good intuition, there should be no need for more words than these, right? Please retire. Joshua pushes Algurio into retirement with a smile.
The assassins that attacked Raidou were people send by Algurio and his group, and the proof is already in the hands of Joshua.
This deed would normally merit heavy punishments like cutting off part of their territory, or a demotion of their status.
If it can be solved by just changing the head of the family, it is not a bad trade for the Hopelace household.
But…
As long as the Kuzunoha Company is involved, Algurio can’t easily nod.
Even if it was indirectly, there’s no way he would find it pleasant, because it would mean that the power of their household has been chipped off again by them.

Joshua laughs away the proposal of Algurio about feigning ignorance.

If you want a reform, eliminate the obstacles or bring them to your side. If you can turn them with your ideals alone, it’d be for the better. Those two women just rose again in my evaluation.

To be honest, I’m okay with Algurio’s policies too. There’s the embezzlement, true, but I’d rather have 10 capable embezzlers than 100 honest taxpayers, but incompetent landlords. He’s providing more income than the other guys, and keeping his people happy, so I have no complaints.
Hell, he seems to be using the embezzled money to make his land do even better in a cycle of prosperity(and gets to look good while he’s at it). One one hand, he’s effectively robbing his country as a vassal, but on the other, his territory is basically a tiny self-sufficient country, and probably operates more efficiently than a big country could.

Second, as for another novel translation project, my suggestion is:
1. Isekai Onsen e Youkoso! I don’t know if it is web novel or not. There has been no translation progress from Shinsori Translations since August last year, I don’t know what caused it though.
2. Isekai ni Kanaderu Densetsu ~Toki wo Tomeru Mono~, same case I don’t know if it is web novel or not, but it has been dropped by the translator AbsurdTL since November last year.
Both are good novels in my own opinion, and they have both hilarious story and characters.
Isekai Onsen one has been dropped by the author last I heard.
And Isekai ni Kanaderu Densetsu ~Toki wo Tomeru Mono~ have been in hiatus by the author him/herself thus the translator stop translating it.

Do you know that the LN version of “Arifureta” has been licensed by “J-Novel Club”.
And they had approached “Japtem” who previously translated the WN and asked them to remove the WN version translation from there site based on legal terms.
So, unless you have the permission of the Writer him/her-self (like the group translating “Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken” have, i think?), if some online translating group license even the LN version, they can ask you to remove the WN version, if they feel like it, especially if its “J-Novel Club”.
they can ask but creative differences would protect them in a legal battle assuming they wanted to fight which asa tl group likely wouldn’t have the cash to do so lol. given how japanese companies are the ln and wn tend to fall under different rights models so the ln being picked up doesn’t mean much to the wn. Its like anime and manga there are several companies that send out C&D letters just when they are considering picking up a series/and or say they rep the creator which they generally don’t as for the authors permission some tl groups will ask and or respect a request to stop or not from the creator. in the end its real hit or miss.
Well “Japtem” also asked them behind there reasoning as to why they want the WN translation to be removed, and he got this reply.
“We do not control the rights to the web novel and cannot demand that you remove your translations. However, just because the original work is posted for free online does NOT mean that the author has given permission for it to be reposted on other websites, or translated into other languages… and the author could, if they were alerted, request your translation be completely removed (and we could forward a DMCA request on their behalf if necessary).”
This reply along with other things resulted in “Japtem” removing the first 37 chapters, and would be also slowly removing the other chapter over the course of time as the LN translations catch up. The same is also decided by “Elemental Cobalt” as well (who is the current translator for the series), that he would be removing the chapters when LN translations catch up to the story plot that his translations covered (which according to him could take up to a year or so).

I would like to recommend kenja no mago (Magi grandson). Academy style reincarnated MC who is OP. Lots of humour, interesting supporting characters., action is well described. Currently at 103 chapters in the web novel. It’s been partially translated up to 51, but those have been sporadic, slow and changing hands. Even if you don’t personally translate, I would recommend checking it out.

I will say it, women are scary I was scared shitless when I read about the plans of Joshua and the fact that even before sitting with the head of the house the manipulation of the next head alredy started. Thats one person I don’t ever want to make my enemy. Regokai I recomend you to go to animesuki the guys thar are always talking about good series that aren’t been translated. i will recomend you one that has been translated but it hasn’t been worked completely I mean the translators have been jumping volumes right and left but is a LN Hagure no Yuusha. Web novels I have no knowladge of some.
Joshua is allowed to think and act that way, is extremely consistent with her character.I’ve said a few times she’s my favorite female character outside Asora and this chapter confirmed it.
Well given her position is only natural that she developed such an actitud, but still one thing is to have an idea of someone and ither is cnofirm that idea, sad thing that so far her character doesn’t seemd to have mutch prominace(?).

I think they are both the sames: you birth and blood determine your social standing and rights you receive.
the only difference would bet racial discrimination is a biological difference, and nobility is a social construct (damn, never knew I would use the word myself…)
people are very offended by racial discrimination, but seem rather chill about nobility.
I think it’s an unspoken truth that they are a different fruit of the same tree. People are easily swayed by what’s on the surface since it is easier for them to comprehend and give judgement. Whereas for nobility, it’s like looking at celebrities.
It’s like the saying good-looking people are for good-looking people, while fags are for fags as for nerds, which some people think is a matter of fact until today.
Well America wasn’t chill about it that’s one of the reasons the 13 colonies went to war with Britain. Not the only one but still a major one. I wish hibiki would use other countries to pull ideas from other than just Japan. I get the feeling she convinced that Japan’s teachings where the best and so she is basing all her decisions on that. It’s definitely gunna come back to bite her. Unless that’s just how the author writes but I doubt it.

I’d personally suggest you avoid anything that was an activity translated manga. It just seems a waste because you’ll probably have to spend months translating chapters that have been already covered in the manga.
I don’t think you need to worry that much about legal issues with light novels. Unless it’s already been licensed or it seems likely to be licensed.
Obviously, something with dozens or hundreds of chapters that simply haven’t be translated in a month shouldn’t be considered unless the translated explictly dropped them. Geez, people are too impatient..

But this is the path you have chosen Hibiki, to change things from the inside, you have to involve yourself in politics, and politics involve using dirty plans for the greater good or for yourself(for Corrupts), it means to having to stomach not murdering disgusting nobles, to avoid public unrest, or even having to devote your body to the cause sometimes. Selling yourself to some noble in a political marriage. Don’t decieve yourself, the peaceful solution is not always the best solution. People always think on using plans that requires a lesser amount of sacrifices for the “greater good” but that doesn’t really bring permanent changes. War is trash, but there’s one thing it brings about, the fear, the pain, the sorrow it brings, make people reflect on their lives a value their connections with other people. Too much peaace make people forget others in order to focus on their own prosperity.

The group that was translating it caught up with the author and stopped. Almost 10 months after releasing chapter 29 they released chapter 30 with 終話 as the number, which means Final Chapter.
Seems the author grew bored or busy or just decided not enough people were interested in it and stopped writing it, then decided to come back and write up a final chapter to give it a conclusion.
I should have read the chapter 30.
It was just an apology from the author for not finishing the work and mentioning two other works they were working on instead.

Here’s a fun observation, but aren’t there some parallels here? Hibiki is like the analog of Zef, leading her people based on what they demand and doing her best to both serve and guide them, and Joshua is the Hyuman version of Rona, making internal schemes that draw out elements of internal opposition while fielding intelligence reports for the king.
I don’t know why opinions on Hibiki and Joshua are so negative.
I think at least they are trying to do their best for their country not themselves.
They don’t like them much pretty sure because they are thinking too highly of hyuman. The war is there because of the goddess though. No matter how they do, as long as that bug is there nothing will change. And the changes hibiki will bring most likely will last for how long, 2 maybe 3 generation? As long bug controlling the world, discrimination will continue to exaggerate. If bug is out of the way or perhaps no longer interfere with human then it will naturally come true. But well, hibiki think too highly of hyuman. Bug let her be most probably because she still needs her as hero. You think she will let demi-human to stand along side with the hyuman? Well hibiki sense that bug need to go so she kept silence when mc said he want to bring the bug down.
