Chapter 199: The Sea and Makoto are doing well

Sponsored Chapter

Surprise! It was about time to unveil the mystery patch.
Sponsored chapters are not going to be set to only on Sundays, but will be free. Of course, there will be a obligatory sponsored ones at Sundays, but if we were to continue at this pace in sponsored, I will never be able to finish them.

And dayum guys, the 600+ comments in 2 days really shocked me!

Thanks a lot for the continued support!

“I have been nailed down…”

The contact of Limia was as expected.

They unreservedly called me regarding the schedule.

Come as fast as possible(in the time that Senpai is at Lorel), and my thoughts were splendidly shot down.

They probably have a lot of things to prepare, so the date and times that were proposed were all reasonable.

The fastest one will probably have Senpai in Limia already.

In that case, I feel like I will have Mio stay.

Luckily, we have the sea, so she probably won’t get bored. That part is a saving.

“Well, it is good that a day has been decided. It will clear one pain after all.” (Makoto)

Deliberately voicing it out, I make myself think that something good has happened.

With this, the troublesome country visits will be over.

It seems like Rembrandt-san is doing his moves, so the Aion Kingdom isn’t calling me.

I have interest in Lorel Union, so I actually want to visit it once.

Maybe because the Goddess is being docile, the Church seems to be docile as well.

I just have to endure a bit more.

Even so, the talk finished faster than anticipated.

The reason was because I compromised fast though.

I am slightly interested in the details of the growth of Jin’s group, but returning to the Academy is just…

Yeah, let’s confirm the work in Asora.

I take out the documents I wanted from the desk.

Shiki puts together the documents that I should be seeing, so it is a great help.

“For now, it seems like the races that will be going to the sea have been decided.” (Makoto)

I turn over the documents.

This time, before having an interview with me, I had Tomoe and the others do a trial and have them do a survival for a set period of time.

It may sound excessive when calling it survival, but the point is, it is just to try living there.

Even if I say sea, the environment is varied, and we will test if the various races are actually able to live in the sea of Asora.

Tomoe is the one in charge of this trial and she is also the advisor.

So long as there’s no excessive actions in the period of time she is in charge, she doesn’t need to show herself.

“It would be ideal if there are races that can accommodate in land as well though.” (Makoto)

As expected, things won’t go so smoothly.

The large sized aquatic demonic beasts are far from being able to relate to land.

And the mermaids are fish at their lower half.

Even if they are hyuman-like, it is obvious at a glance that even trying to walk would be a difficulty.

In terms of race, the Lorelei that seem to be a variety of demons have hyuman shaped bodies, so instead of in the sea, they live close to the sea, which makes them able to adapt easily to land.

The reversed race that has hyuman limbs and fish body are able to run in land as well.

Because of that, the name of the race is Neptune Sea Lord. I feel like their very existence is a joke already.

There’s also a race called Sahuagin that is half hyuman-like, and even when it is not their specialty, they are able to move in land.

About them, what left the most impression was actually the plate that was shining at their head.

I thought they were kappa. Sea kappas.

And so, While having the races that can go in both land and water at the port, it would be ideal if they were to interact with the other races that are only able to live in the sea.

I thought that it would be nice if that port and my house were to interact with a certain town.

And so, I left the detailed parts to Tomoe and the others.

“Mermaids, Lorelei, Sahuagin, and Neptunes. Sea horses, Kelpie, Sea Serpents, Blue Moons…” (Makoto)

When I confirm them in order, I could tell that there were quite a lot.

There are more than 10 races.

It is not like they are competing for a spot in the migration, so as long as they are able to adapt to the sea of Asora, I don’t mind having them all migrate.

And as long as there’s no clear hostility between the races.

The sea is vast, so they are able to find a place to live anywhere.

If they are preyed upon, or are about to become prey by the living beings that were originally in that sea, I can just have them retire.

Will I have to do an interview with all the races, or are all the races going to retire?

…No, the latter would be problematic, so I want them to do their best.

◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆

A pleasant report came in.

Almost all the races that are trying to live in the sea are able to adapt to the lifestyle of Asora.

There were about two races that retired because they felt danger towards the sharks and giant octopuses that were originally there, but it seems like most of the races are able to safely live.

At this rate, we will be able to obtain residents for both the cold sea and the warm sea.

Asora has a lot of land compared to the population.

This also applies to the sea, so if they live in a lot of places and gather information, there’s nothing I would be more grateful for.

It would be incredibly troublesome if we were to investigate every nook and cranny by ourselves after all.

“And well, it seems like all in all, there’s no problem. There’s also people that are beginning to communicate with the pre-existing living beings there. The fear we had about quarrels between races has not occurred.”

With no real problem, Tomoe finishes her report.

“That’s great. It is regrettable for the races that retired, but tell them that if there’s a time when they need the Kuzunoha Company, we will cooperate.” (Makoto)

“I have already told them. If a problem were to occur at hyuman territory, we will hear them out.” (Tomoe)

“As expected. Is Sari doing well?” (Makoto)

“Because it is her first job, she is full of vigor. There’s no strange movements.” (Tomoe)

“I see.” (Makoto)

A few days have passed since my lecture at the Academy.

The migration test in Asora has been progressing smoothly.

It is peaceful like the calm of the sea.

“By the way Waka, I heard from Shiki that the students of Rotsgard have grown quite a lot.” (Tomoe)

“Hm, ah yeah. It is impressive. Every single one of them have become great. It feels like it would be overdoing it if we were to train them as we first planned, so…I think that it would be okay to let them be on the teaching side.” (Makoto)

“The teaching side, is it? They will probably come pestering that they want to become even stronger though.” (Tomoe)

“There’s growth in teaching as well. Also, even if they want to become stronger, they are already the strongest in the Academy, you know? If we are talking about the same year, they are easily the strongest. There’s no need to train them more than this and increase the difference, right? I think that they will be able to contribute plenty enough in a war between hyumans, or against most of any fight against other races.” (Makoto

“…I see. I am slightly interested, so do you mind if I have Shiki show me the information later?” (Tomoe)

“Of course it is fine. Just don’t go doing any weird interference with the students, okay? Because you trained Misura, he has learned some weird power after all.” (Makoto)

“I will be careful.” (Tomoe)

Seriously.

Tomoe training Misura became the trigger, and Jin and the others have grown an incredible lot.

Every one of them learned a special ability fit for them, and made their own trait more prominent, and the result was that they have gotten stronger.

When they were in Rotsgard Academy, they were originally kids with talent.

When someone aims high, in a sense, it is normal for them to grow.

When thinking that way, Shiki and I only helped out in it.

I will only have the new students increase their levels to where Jin’s group is, and after, I will just let them grow up on their own and they will most likely become plenty strong.

As a teacher, I have found a standard of how strong I will train my students and am doing well.

Truly good.

“Then Tomoe, do you have time now?” (Makoto)

“Again? I have to look after the races that want to migrate, so I think that it would be hard to accompany you today.” (Tomoe)

“…I see.” (Makoto)

Too bad.

“Reproducing the environment of Waka’s world tired me a lot after all. The next time I am available would be the day before Waka leaves for Limia. Sorry.” (Tomoe)

“Understood. I know that I am asking for too much when you are busy after all. It is fine.” (Makoto)

“…Ah, Waka, do you have time?” (Tomoe)

Tomoe?

Tomoe suddenly makes a bitter face as she asks me.

Ah, thought transmission huh.

I want to learn how to skillfully utilize thought transmission while speaking as well.

It is hard to concentrate in both of them.

If I am able to do something about it by practicing, I should try.

“What? Is it thought transmission?” (Makoto)

“Yes, it was from Lime.” (Tomoe)

“Heh~, he was together with Senpai and her group, right? What did he say?” (Makoto)

“…Yeah, it wasn’t anything big. It seems like that purple cloud didn’t disappear completely with what we did the other day.” (Tomoe)

“…As I thought. I felt like the resistance was way too thin. It hasn’t been that long since then. Is it already doing evil?” (Makoto)

“Yes. And it seems that Lime and Hibiki are currently dealing with it, but it seems like it is not going well.” (Tomoe)

“Even Hibiki-senpai?” (Makoto)

“Seems so.” (Tomoe)

I can’t believe it.

Even though it is Hibiki-senpai.

Even though she should be able to do something about an opponent of that level.

Is it because her methods of long ranged attacks are low?

She does use a sword after all.

“I said that I would be helping Lorel, and yet, it was so half-baked. That’s not cool. Troubling Senpai would be bad, so I will do something about it.” (Makoto)

“…Can I leave it to you?” (Tomoe)

“Yeah. Just that, I think it will be useless to deal with that group with the previous method. The response was thin after all. I do have something in mind, but I have to get relatively close or I feel like it won’t work.” (Makoto)

I would like to at least get an approximate location of it.

“Then how about using the strategy that the winged-kin utilized in last time’s mock battle with Waka? The one about sharing information with a third party from a faraway location.” (Tomoe)

“Ah, I see. It will definitely be useful. Let’s go with that. Then I will have to move to a location where I can aim.” (Makoto)

“There’s a mountain with good view. It has a bit of distance from the location, but if it’s Waka, there shouldn’t be any problems, right?” (Tomoe)

“I do have Azusa and magic after all. I actually don’t have to worry about range.” (Makoto)

“Well then, go ahead. I will send the winged-kin there, so while confirming with the information share, try to tackle it.” (Tomoe)

“Understood.” (Makoto)

“Waka.” (Tomoe)

“What?” (Makoto)

“Lime and the hero are floating close to that area, so I don’t mind if you gift them a few shots, you know? Especially to Lime.” (Tomoe)

“Why do I have to do something like that to Lime?” (Makoto)

Calling me to a stop when I was about to enter the created gate with Azusa in one hand, she said something strange.

“…That’s because he has slacking slightly you see, so I thought that it would help for discipline.” (Tomoe)

“You say some scary things.” (Makoto)

“It could serve as good motivation to Hibiki, you know?” (Tomoe)

“I don’t want to. If it gets discovered later, just how do you think we would be able to apologize? Seriously.” (Makoto)

“…Have a safe trip.” (Tomoe)

“Yeah, I will return soon.” (Makoto)

The other side of the gate was as stated, the summit of a mountain.

Truly a panorama of 360° degrees.

What a superb view.

And in the faraway sky, there’s one clearly visible thing.

I could tell that that purple stain was the problematic cloud.

“It has become quite big. It is not as big as before though.” (Makoto)

I prepare my bow.

I set an arrow.

The target cloud is quite a distance away, but maybe because I am using magic simultaneously since coming to this world, I don’t feel like I will miss.

I have stopped worrying about whether it will reach or not.

If I can see it, I can hit it.

I am beginning to naturally think in this way.

Just that, in the case of that cloud, it is a united form of many individuals, so I feel like I can’t consider it as just a single enemy.

It is something that I felt after reflecting on last time though.

“Now then, the link with the winged-kin…” (Makoto)

While I wait for the arrival of the winged-kin, I could tell that they appeared at a place a bit further away from the purple cloud.

Two huh.

A thought transmission soon came from them, and asked for confirmation if it’s okay to send information.

Of course, I said okay.

After finishing a short thought transmission and waiting for a bit, a strange scenery as if looking at the purple cloud from a closer place appeared in my mind.

What was in my eyes was the cloud far in the distance, and the gap between distances made me feel slightly nauseated.

It was as if looking at it from afar, and at the same time, looking at it from a monitor.

But if I get used to it, it might be convenient.

Thanks to it, I was able to clearly tell where Hibiki-senpai, her comrade magician, and Lime were floating.

‘I will give you the coordinates’, is the follow-up report that came from the winged-kin.

The scenery of where the cloud and Senpai’s group were, was shown to me like a grid, and several numbers appeared.

Hmph~.

So this is how the winged-kin exchange information with each other and getting their aim huh.

It is certainly easy to understand.

It is not that necessary for me who snipes by relying on my senses, but I think that it is an advantage to erase the measurement errors in the attack.

I give my thanks to the winged-kin and tell them to be in standby.

“I will pierce that purple cloud in my sight. At that scenery that’s in my mind, I only pierce the cloud.” (Makoto)

It was a mysterious feeling.

It was the same sensation as aiming straight.

But at the same time, it was as if I was placing my aim at the scenery in the monitor.

In my time at Japan, this would be an incredible stunt, and yet, I was able to lock the target.

No, not yet.

It is no good to just avoid Senpai’s group.

And it is also no good to just pierce through the part that seems to be the cloud’s core.

Concentrating in each live that comprises the cloud, I target everything of it, all the links.

Not shooting vaguely.

And for that sake…

“…”

While maintaining my concentrated state, I lower the arrow I set up.

This time, I won’t use this one.

What I need right now is not an arrow, but a catalyst for my spell.

To pierce through several targets at once, I need both archery and magic.

From the variety of arrows that I had the Eldwas make, I choose an arrow that has the most ability to inject magic power in, and once again, I set it up.

An amber colored arrow.

“Avoiding Senpai’s group, I will pierce the core, and kill all the clouds in a chain.” (Makoto)

The cloud that appears in my mind is being filled with countless numbers of aims.

I can do it.

I silently release my arrow.

For a while, the arrow continued on as a normal arrow, but the amber arrow soon broke, and in exchange, it turned into a big mass of light that could take up the whole field of vision, and flew towards the purple cloud.

And then, after a while, the mass of light bursts.

Okay, I did it!

Avoiding Senpai’s group, it pierces through the core of the cloud, and at the same time, it pierced through the scattered portions that I placed my aim on. I could tell that it was effective.

I have killed it.

Different from last time, this time I actually felt it.

“Fuh~, I have defeated it.” (Makoto)

It seems like the winged-kin have witnessed it as well.

They face this way and are flying here.

Even though one is carrying the other, they are incredibly fast.

Thanks to their help, my possibilities with the arrow increased more.

I am happy.

I felt like I once again confirmed that the bow is something irreplaceable for me.

  1. Thanks for the chapter. that joke race mention made me chuckle a bit. Too many people hating on makoto just because its obvious to the reader that hibiki had a thought to make both kuzunoha and tomoki destroy each other while its not obvious to makoto. Honestly I understand why hibiki is hated but for me the only fault I noticed for her could be forcing democracy and trying to get rid of future risks(makoto) which she can befriend instead. some say she doesn’t want to save the demon race but its really hard to negotiate and talk when you are in war with that race especially when the hopes of humanity are at your back and if they know you interacted with the enemy…..

    1. Not really, if you are Hibiki and you have a group of people who have the ability to destroy kingdoms just going around the world with happy-go-lucky attitudes and could potentially become future dictators and you have no effective counters against them… What would you do?

Rembrandt and the Merchant Guild-master in Rostgard both commented on it, if persons of the power level of Mio and Tomoe demanded something from anyone… Nobody would be able to say no under pain of annihilation…

      1. ya you do make a solid point ….how ever every one need to under stand Kuzunoha Company is extremely nutrel for if your a demon, human, demi human it no problem to work with them.
for the head have no interest in world conquest or war for him helping those who are sick and live life peacefully is what maters most to him.
and yes there scary powerful but they need to be for they use to live in a hospitable land ware you have to be strong to live.
also they will sell just about anything “but no makeup for reasons” tho weapons and armor are a rare case if the area needs them like say a town in area with high lev monster roaming about.
if you ask them to join the war they will act like you did say any thing to them and try to fores them they will hurt you.
descover that they have stors in the demons taratory “not yet tho” they will tell you they will not give any info to ether sides no mater what. “there not in it for war money”

so yes they can become dictators but they have zero interest in it for there those at Kuzunoha Company just want to live in piece and to heal those in need.

for Kuzunoha Company is a safe haven for those who are miss treated do to there not humans or there craft is the beast and ever one want them for it.

      2. I guess i was being a bit idealistic about it but I still think he shouldn’t have that kind of thought before she really learns more about the company especially the company her kouhai has made. I’ll also add that hibiki doesn’t exactly know how strong the company is and that they can be a 3rd power in the war. she only knows they got a good smith and mio is stronger than her(I’m not sure she knows if she knows to what degree

    1. As a teacher, I have found a standard of how strong I will train my students and am doing well.
… a little did he know they already suprassing any imperial guard in every country…

And Makoto new skill will later known as psycho drive, because the information flowing into the brain is so massive and only half crazy ppl can use it.

  2. Thank you for the chapter Reigokai. I dont usually comment but sometimes its nice to tell you I really appreciate you translating such interesting series for us and I hope you will keep up the good work. I also look forward to more of Double Edge hero when you got the time for it. It really caught my interest too 😀

  3. So I’m seeing a lot of discussion flaring up about Makoto’s naivete again. In that case, I’d like to pose a question, partly to fuel discussion, and partly to rack up dem sweet comments. 😉

There’s no shortage of criticism to how soft Makoto is being in his position. So I wanna ask, what would your policy and general behavior be if you were summoned to another world of swords and magic? The terms are:

    – You aren’t a Hero or anything like that, with no explicit purpose.
    – You get a cheat of some sort, but you won’t know exactly what scale of power it gives you until you receive it.
    – You don’t know what sort of world it is other than the existence of humans, demihumans, demons(complete with Maou), and other mythical monsters. Morality, political structure, etcetera is all unknown to you.

To reiterate the question, under this conditions how would you approach this world?

    1. Well first I’ll learn the common sense of the world(currency, how political structure works, monster levels and whatnot, how common magic is, wars if any) and how my power is compared to the inhabitants(completely for safety sake), then I’ll just either make a base in some town/city or travel the world depending on the circumstances and my power compared to others. Basically something like kazuma from kono suba without having to fight demon generals almost every 3 months/volume(at least I hope I don’t have to fight dangerous battles) or satou from death march without fighting a occasional demon lord. Might play around with magic if 1.)I can learn it and there is magic in the world and 2 its somewhat safe on using it. I might help people if I have the ability and I’m safe.

    2. Is the summoning Voluntary or not? If it is voluntary and you get to choose I would refuse, I have people I don’t want to leave behind. Assuming it was forced, then my goal is clear, first is gaining a foothold in the world one way or another and then try to find a way home. I know, I am boring right?

      1. Summoning would not be voluntary. In fact, you might even know why it happened.

I don’t think your goal is bad, since it’s a nice desire for peace with enough realism in its approach. That said, the goal in itself is somewhat of an unrealistic one since going back to your old world is usually not possible.

        1. But at first you did not know right? and even if someone tell me straight to myself it was impossible to go home, I can easily see myself as being stubborn enough to at least try anyway. Though if I failed to find a way and time moves on about a decade or so, I’ll move on and settle down quietly, if possible, because the process of finding a way home means seeking knowledge, wisdom and power and those three thing go hand in hand with Death and Danger and can brought about infamy that makes it impossible to do so (settling down peacefully).

    3. i would turn a magician into a frog for tsukomi/bokke lulz, and go live in a fairy forest while making magic interwebz. saving the world and creating an imperial nation in my name is too much of a DRAAAAAAG, MAAAAAAAN.

    4. hmm…well lurning what you can do first is key how ever you also need to lurn how there money work’s, how to read and wright, ask about law’s of the world the “do’s and dont’s” if you will.
also ask your self “are these guy’s good?” for -konjiki no wordmaster- shown that you can just be summoned by some one that will be willing to kill you just to have his people attack the “bad guys” even more.
after all of that check what you can or cant do safely like say…. you have the power to summon swords made of mana or some other one of a kind thing.
then go exploring for if you only do thing’s a king or one person ask it be easy to be trick “referents from konjiki no wordmaster “

    5. – Find the nearest human town or village.
      – Observe from a distance for a day.
      – Assuming language is not a problem, if I see nothing particularly troublesome about the settlement (like slaves, or a strong armed presence), I would approach and try to find work.
      – I would look for some low profile work, most likely menial labor.
      – I would spend 3 – 6 months doing that, while I learn what I can about the world from others (mostly by listening in on their conversations).
      – Once I feel I know enough not to trip over my own feet, I would go ahead with whatever plans I have been working on since arrival. That would most likely be the standard Adventurer route, but I would definitely aim for some sort of Magic oriented profession, if it’s possible.

        1. Not really though?

The others become adventurers pretty much from the get go. They stumble upon one lucky break after another, and are well on their way to being op within their first month.

They certainly don’t get stuck (un)loading goods, working in the fields or some such.

My plan may seem somewhat similar to theirs, but that’s because I’m assuming I’d land in a world inspired by the stories, and would therefore want to experience some of that.

But I certainly wouldn’t just walk blindly into one encounter after another, hoping for luck to carry me through.

      1. Sensible approach. Seems like it’ll work out until some major event throws a curveball your way and sets the mood for the story.

With an attitude like that though, it sounds like your cheat would be of the higher powered ones that makes you stand out. 😛

      2. @Kortodo
I was being nice, not mentioning how very very boring what you are doing is.

“But I certainly wouldn’t just walk blindly into one encounter after another, hoping for luck to carry me through.”

He’s not hoping that luck will carry him through.

        He can rely on

        a) His godlike power
        b) His three followers, all talented and easily amongst the strongest in the world
        c) His access to Asora, a completely new separate world, and the benefits of instant teleport
        d) All the races in Asora which treat him as a king, if not a god

        1. They were answering my hypothetical prompt though. In which case, that sort of cliche, “boring” story would be the most pleasant to live through.

I mean, if you were to ask me whether I want to be an MC in Rise of the Shield Hero’s world versus a crappy power fantasy where everything goes the MC’s way…

        2. I thought we were talking about me, not Makoto the OP MC?

Besides what’s wrong with boring? Boring is usually safe, and I definitely wouldn’t be looking to become a protagonist of some epic fantasy series.

    6. Learn how to defend myself with a combination of magic spells and weapons I loot from fallen travelers.
Live off the land as reclusive hermit
Collect books and read them as a hobbie.
If war breaks out in the country I am mooching off of whether it be causes be demons, demihumans or even the human race then that just means it is time to migrate.
It does not matter if I turned out OP because….
      http://static.wixstatic.com/media/5ba1e2_2b7bf70d61504a929da218adfec31f29.jpeg
      F*ck this guy.

    7. Keep a realistic up to date evaluation of my position in the world.
That’s basicly my only real issue with Makoto, he just can’t figure out what he is.
I’m fine with him having no real long term goal, or drive, or even a dream.
But damn i wish he could get a fucking clue about what he is and has become.

He is a merchant prince, he wields the power of kings, controls the wealth of nations and can destroy his enemies with a word.
He appeared out of nowhere, and now empires seek his patronage and the church seeks to not anger him.

      1. “He is a merchant prince, he wields the power of kings, controls the wealth of nations and can destroy his enemies with a word.
He appeared out of nowhere, and now empires seek his patronage and the church seeks to not anger him.”

Yeah but what exactly does that MEAN? In terms of how he should act or what he should do? It wouldn’t be interesting if he started acting our power-fantasy style

      2. I’m not saying he should act differently.
I have no (major) issues with his actions.
I just wish he would figure out what was going, and if he decides to keep doing what he is doing already, then that’s fine.

But seeing him underestimating his own position and importance gets old.

    8. Another point is that Makoto was the leeway to be “soft” and “naive”.

He’s strong enough to fight a god. He’s surrounded by people who love and even revere him He has an entire world, Asora, to himself.

That’s why he has the attitude “if you help me then you’re an ally, if you oppose me then you’re an enemy”. Even if he trusts someone and they betray him, they can’t hurt him very much.

Being a merchant, having a company is as much as a hobby for him as Mio’s cooking or Tomoe’s samurai play.

    9. pretty easy:

      -find a town
      -get hyped
      -register as adventurer
      -take my first quest
      -go hunt some monster
      -meet some monster
      -become shitless scared
      -shit
-I am not fit to fight
      -too late
      -get devored alive
      -the end

      *clap* *clap* *clap*
      great story
      10/10 would suicide again

    10. _Test my powers on rocks, then on aggressives creatures
      _I’m strong
_I fully tour this exciting new world
      _Trample the strongs
      _Mess up various sweet Onee-chan
      _Find a new world
      _I’m weak
_I fully tour this exciting new world
      _Mess up various sweet Onee-chan
      _Trample the strongs
      _Die in the process

      Simple, right ?

    11. Hey Psychronia and others, the first thing that should be done is finding out whether or not you could acquire food through hunting or gathering herbs without any OP powers b/c let’s face it the majority of us would get killed quickly by most animals in this world if we went on a survival trip alone somewhere.

Though personally I would try to avoid politics if I can, while building up enough skill and power to first protect myself and then others. After all, the weak can not protect anything or anyone. Of course, power does include learning who I need to have connections to/with. Well, I would have no intentions of being any nation’s “hero” because to be one in these stories would mean being a “one man army mass murderer” and I would have to morally come to terms with becoming someone like that first or just stop caring about the people in the world causing me pains.

The rest of everyone’s ideas sound good to me as well.

  4. Thanks for the surprise chapter Reigokai-san. Honestly, I installed an RSS reader on my phone only to checks for updates from this site. And today, I opened it and think “It would be good if there are an update”, and puff a new chapter come out. I always come again to this site to read on the comments. It’s like the extension of the chapter. Good work Reigokai-san and stay healthy.

  5. Thx as always…

Very late to comment, didn’t expected the chapter to come out today. Tomorrow is the day for the 4 day cycle. But surprise chapter FTW 😛

And it was actually a different shot than the first one.. My assumption is wrong 😛

  6. So is this a competition, there are more that 300 comments already, so We are trying to make a new record withis one I see. Well here comes my contribution, as always thans for the chapter Regokai and the fast release, the student are already on the top and want more if he made his former schadule maybe they would outgrowsome of the teachers in there. I really fell sorry for any armie that tries to go against a sniping Mkoto, they wouldnt even be able to form ranks properly.

      1. ….. that’s some pro level drawing you got there truck-kun … are you by any chance an alternate identity of mangaka that draw tsuki ga michibiku manga ….?

  7. I think i need to do some vodoo blessing here.
    (Onyonyonyonyonyo!!) “Enchanting Comment Spirit”

Not Good Enough! I’m Sleepy! i’m out o-ff Zzzz..

  8. Sometime i don’t realize that i had read a hundred comments but when you point it out, i just skimmed some hahaha
Anyway. Thanks for the pleasant suppuraizu! (Actually, i checked your web almost daily lol)
And its true. Sometime i need other’s opinion regarding a certain circumstance because sometime i don’t quite believe with my own judgement. Thats why i also love the comments!
    As always. Otsukaresamadeshita!!!!

  9. To add to the discussion and comments. What’s your reaction to the students becoming teachers? will that really improve them alot? do you guys think with proper reason that making them pure teachers in his classes rather than teachers/students be better for their growth? which would be the best teacher and which teacher would u want to teach u if given a choice? what will the reaction of the students be with the announcement

    1. Well teaching can improve you mastery on certain fields, and as Makoto said they were talented enough as it was, I believe that they will grow better once they begin to teach and won’t be disconected to their strengh. the only downside is that problabe in their minds good teaching is equivalent to hellish teaching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >_<

      1. That doesn’t sound like a downside to me. 😛

Teaching is good. It’ll let them polish what they have even more. Still, I think Makoto’s training is the most desirable for them.

        1. What does that Mage from Overlord believe? The one who was willing to serve Ainz, and betray the Empire? Something about wanting to follow the trailblazer, instead of being one?

    2. I think having Jin and co. teach the new additions is a great idea. They each have their own specialty, which they developed mostly on their own. Makoto and Shiki simply helped them increase their strength, the students found their own style through repeated sparring. This will make it much easier for the new students to learn the skills they need/want.

As teachers, they’ll also face questions they might not have considered themselves, which will make them think about their own skills in a new way. The same will happen when they try to consider how to pass their knowledge onto others. They already know all that stuff, but now they’ll need to think of it from a different perspective, in order to teach it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the original students suddenly grow a lot again.

  10. thanks for the chapter

“…That’s because he has slacking slightly you see, so I thought that it would help for discipline.”
Lime will probably have a good spanking off-screen

      1. The thing is.. he’s quite young. As an eldwa, he’ still young. That’s why his creations are new, unconventional, even to his people. Only Mio took a liking to his aesthetics. Like the Sentai suits, for example.

  11. Imagine the long range nuclear missile destroying a country without them or anyone else having a clue where it came from, why and most importantly, for what reason. That is a VERY scary thought that should remain in the realms of friction.
Can we blame everyone for having so much fear!? Being so fearful 😧?

    1. Haha… Quite legit.
Well, it is really a SCARY thought.

      He used his “nuke”, only on 5 occasions;
      1. On Mio when she is still in her calamity spider form (magic arrow)
      2. On Sofia and Lancer, using water magic arrow, catalyses by overfilled magic rings
      2. On sofia when they were battling in the reality marble
      3. On the fortress out of promise with the goddess
      4. This time, on the “microbes” cloud

In fact, he scared the shit out of the people every single time.

But, what’s more scary is the user who is simple-minded.
If he need to, he will use that nuke on anyone, anywhere
At least, he is not destroying any country yet.

      1. Simple minded is often used as a derogatory term to mean someone stupid, but I feel that in Makoto’s case it’s actually a good thing.

In his case, it’s just that he doesn’t overthink things, nor is he a schemer. He just takes things one step at a time, and is willing to accept them at face value, instead of looking for hidden meanings, or reading between lines.

In other words, Makoto is honest to a fault. Not literally of course, since I believe he did outright lie on at least a few occasions, but you get what I mean.

So, no. He won’t use the nuke on anyone, anywhere. It’s not his go-to solution to problems he can’t be arsed to deal with. That said, the times he used it that you’ve listed, it was arguably the only practical option.

        1. Kind of hard to negotiate with a creature that feels only hunger and is blind to everything else, and regenerates no matter how many times you hit it with more conventional methods.
        2. That was mostly unintentional. Makoto didn’t really have a grasp on just how much power he has at that time. He thought it would be a distraction, at most.
        3. He was in Sofia’s world and so there would be no consequences to his surroundings if he went all out. Instead of wasting any more time playing around with Sofia, he simply used as much power as he dared to quickly get rid of her.
        4. That was the quickest way of destroying the fortress. Instead of wasting time traveling there and taking it apart piece by piece, it was faster to just obliterate it in one go.
        5. It was either that, or attack each grain of the cloud one by one, or a few at a time. That would take way too long, and he’d probably have to get close to it, which would mean either revealing his power to Hibiki, or dressing up as the Devil again.

        1. Yeah, Makoto is taking care not to abuse his power.

The problem is that the logic you debunked is pretty much what anyone who knows Makoto is afraid of. Which is also only natural since that’s the natural behaviour in this ridiculous world.

      2. Makoto plays to his strengths.
Which are overwhelming raw power, and ability to find loyal followers who can do anything he is not so good at.

At most MAkoto provides general goals, and his underlings make them happen, only bothering him when big decisions need to be made, something needs to be utterly crushed, or there is need for personal appearance of he bigshot himself (like meeting the immigrant races so they can swear loyalty).

  12. Is it the first time any resident of Asora, except for Tomoe Mio and Shiki, sees Makoto’s magic bow?

(Well, I doubt Makoto ever used “Magic”-bow on any training session with anyone.
Magic or bow Individually, yes… But, together, maybe not)

    1. It’s not the first time they see his bow Azusa, but it’s the first time he use that special arrow made by the eldwas. The one arrow that split into many ‘missiles’…
It is also Makoto’s first time using direct visual link with the black Wing-kin. Hard to explain.. Imagine using Gundam style helmet with all the visuals on the visor. That kind of visual ability is what I believe he will learn, as he need it in future battles using long ranged attack.

  13. Actually, when they said Excavator,Shovel and Crane, I was thinking of Devastator from Transformers. So are these robots or just the suits like in Power Rangers with their Zords.

  14. Thanks for the chapter Reigokai, it was a nice surprise.

And yeah, Makoto is clearly showing off his OPness as his ability to strike down anything from almost any distance so long as he has spotters like the winged-kin, is becoming clear. I hope Hibiki was taking notes, since this a very clear sign that she shouldn’t do anything that will piss Makoto’s side off.
And I see that the comments on Makoto’s dumbness for trusting Hibiki are still being spammed, but I already talked a lot about that last chapter so I won’t go into it again.
Still, it seems we’ve got the Limia visit coming up and senpai will definitely be there, so something might happen to change their current dynamic then. Makoto might learn to take a better look at the real person he’s dealing with and not the ideal self she projected to everyone back in Japan. We can only hope.
Whatever the case, I doubt Hibiki will be able to stop herself from using her connection with Makoto to try something with the Kuzunoha company. So if it ends with Makoto being played and walking off with a smile without noticing anything again, I’m quite sure the comments will go up in flames………

  15. Hibiki realizes Kuzonoha company’s great war potentials… Being a politician with charm power, She tries to shave off Makoto’s war potential and use it as her own – in the case of Lime and even Mio back then.

  16. I am dying to know who the new contract person will be someone said that he’s gonna get another follower he has a dragon ,spider, undead Who each are ridiculously strong I’m curious what the next one going to be

  17. Just a bit more then it will be the goal of 600!!

    Go go go guys! XD

I wish there is a book or something similar that would depict the pov of sari after joining in asora hahaha daily life of sari xD

    1. Honestly, there are a bunch of side-stories that could function as decent spin-offs.

      Mio’s Kitchen Journal
      Root’s Hyuman Observation Diary
The Musings of Asoran Migrants Collection (Vol. 1)
      Merchant Raidou’s Curious Class
      The Fairies(Magical Girls) of Kuzunoha
Fall of the Mad Gritonian Princess
      Tales of The Devil’s Witnesses

      Anything else?

      1. True!! That would be so nice to read xD haha i dont care if those books have less chapters but atleast we get to know their side and the mystery would lessen a lot xD haha

Mio’s kitchen journal seems interesting.. Haha

        1. Oh man! I forgot a few of the most important ones!

Legends of the Seven Great Kamen Eiyuu!
          Lime Latte in: “Goldtouch”
Heart-throbbing Affair With Kuzunoha’s Maiden Euryale

      2. Interesting. How would the Journal sounds like?
“Today I tried cooking purple cloud. It doen’t taste nice”.

        … something like that?

        1. Actually, I was imagining the book to be more about her explorations. Sort of a Mio POV compilation with a focus on cooking.

That said, your idea works for a short notebook, I’m imagining something something kinda like what you put, only in a tone like Louie’s Notes from Pikmin. Off the top of my head…

Purple Cloud Organisms: “Harvesting is a pain. Evaporates under heat and thus can’t be cooked. Recommend mixing into a juice, then freezing. Also, toxic to consume.”

Hydra: “Regeneration allows for long meals, but taste is blandly sour no matter the preparation method. Only useful in compensating in quantity.”

Manticore: “Chewy. Best sauteed with finely cut leeks to bring out flavor.”

Curse Wraiths: “Inedible (to the others). Consumption causes (others) hallucinations and a period of high agitation. Also, highly poisonous.”

          1. Using deductive reasoning, I doubt Manticores are poisonous to eat.

Well, firstly, it depends what incarnation of manticore we’re talking about(especially since there are other similar chimera mixes that get mixed up with it). But as far as I know, any poison-using version does so through a scorpion(sometimes dragon, but dragons obviously don’t use poison in this world) tail. If it’s just scorpion-esque venom, eating it is no problem so long as you remove the glands and cook it properly. Heck, people on earth do eat scorpions after all, so it can’t be too hard.

As for how it tastes, I assume it doesn’t taste too bad. It’s various forms(including alternate names) are compiled of some mixture of: lions and tigers(large felines have been compared to pork loins), shark(obviously a delicacy), antelope(venison), scorpion(presumably crustacean?), and bats(Google tells me they can vary greatly but good ones are in goosey taste area). So yeah, Mio might be able to make a huge variety platter from just the one creature. It’d be great. 😀

(I should probably also mention that “old man” is one of the creatures mixed in sometimes, but let’s just splendidly ignore that part.)

          2. *splendidly ignoring the idea*

Did I seriously just spend 5 minutes working out a 2.5 paragraph comment explaining the feasibility of eating a Manticore?

Clearly, I’ve gotten invested in the idea of “Mio’s Notes”. In my defense, preparing and eating things has been a popular aspect of fantasy for a long time now.

          3. Better than me. I can go through my day without any weird thoughts, then the most random things pops into my head. Usually whether or not dragon or hippogriph are edible, and what they taste like.

          4. …Yeah. I think I’m going to try to make it a thing where I try to make Mio-esque comments on preparing strange creatures to eat every chapter.

It’ll be Dungeon Meshi all over again.

          5. So I just did a quick Google, and it seems scorpions and crickets taste like nuts or chips when they’re small and friend. Bigger ones though, taste like crawlfish and shrimp.

So yeah. Crustaceans is a good comparison.

      3. Can you write the journal and post it here? I’d live to read that. 😍
That being said, it reminds me that the method Mio use to ‘eat/consume’ is rather unconventional. She didn’t really put it in her mouth.

        1. What? You mean a “Mio’s Notes” project?

I could probably make a short comment up once(or a couple times) every chapter. I’ll quickly run out of ideas for “ingredients” though.

        1. For all intents and purposes, it is. That’s the idea behind the list.

I’m not sure which one I would like to see the most, but the “Mio’s Notes” idea is actually growing on me very quickly. Second place would probably be…the Asoran Collection. Just a series of whimsical adventures of a variety of creatures in a wonderful, yet scary land.

The Devil’s Witnesses sounds like a compilation of Lovecraftian-styled stories about some mysterious, monstrous creature, so that could be fun too.

      4. Those are great ideas. I’d read them.

But do you have ideas for the following characters:
        -Zef
        -Rona
-the merchant dude(the friendly one) and his family(the butler, the wife, the two daughters)
        -Lime
-The two sisters from Tsige who are friend with Makoto
        -Zara
        -Trashmoki
        -Hibiki

        1. Well…the thing is those characters all already have their own backstories that can be explored. I already painted a picture of Lime’s spy story.

          Hibiki’s “Reform Hero” Story
          Tomoki’s “Wish Fulfillment” Story
Toa and Rinon’s “My Nee-chan is a Stupid Adventurer” Story.
Zef and Rona’s “Race Governing” Story as well as a bit of their relationship drama.
Rembrant and Zara’s “Shrewd Business” Story.

They’re all adventures in their own right, but…how do I put it…kinda uninteresting in comparison..

          1. Oh, and also, I really like how you added “(Vol. 1)” for “The Musings of Asoran Migrants Collection” one.

But, would it be a volume for each big migration? Or a volume per migrating race?

          2. I sorta just imagined it to be volumes with no particular order.

Sure, stories about the High Orcs and Mist Lizards might come before Gorgons and Winged-kin, but we might also still have stories about the Arkes in the volume about the sea races. And Sari might be the first entry of Volume 1 to introduce this mysterious place that is Asora(because Ema is too busy and has too much going on in her mind).

Very slice-of-life, with a little adventuring due to exploring new territory. Who knows? Maybe Volume 3 will start featuring movie nights using Tomoe’s mist that the residents can gather to enjoy. Or there might be a merry festival. Or fighting tournament.

          3. Well, so far, I’m very interesting in all of them… though I’d still probably give priority to the following ones:
-The Musings of Asoran Migrants Collection(all volumes) (for some Asora awesomness)
-Tales of The Devil’s Witnesses (for eldritch madness’ sake)
            :3

          4. Well the former would probably be good supplementary material that gives the races’ thoughts on Makoto, his followers, and the new land.

The latter would truly be a bit of a spin-off series where we mostly see the slightly insane actions of the cults that form around the Devil’s Lake. Ooo…It might be slightly Silent Hill-ish, actually. Only without the “evil god” itself present.
…..XD Sorry, but this is turning into a comedy for me. A bunch of cultists are doing all kinds of crazy things for the blissfully absent devil.

  18. Tch ! Took me quite the time to read all the comments !

Well, on the chapter, I don’t have much to say since that’s basically as the one before.
However, you guys sure are pumped up ! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH !

Oy, next time is the 200th chapter ! Let’s make our very own popularity contest for the 200th !
    (Details on next the chapter)

    Thanks for your work !

      1. This was mentioned last chapter, but that would be kind of an interesting direction to go.

Since Makoto has virtually nothing to fear from mortals anymore, if we have evil gods(actual evil ones and not just grossly incompetent Bug types) invade this world, it would give us some more interesting conflict and fights. Maybe the focus will shift to Makoto’s followers who can’t keep up with it.

      2. To me it seems like currently Makoto is avoiding direct confrontation with the goddess because he does not want to draw any attention from other gods.
So it is perfectly possible there will be gods involved, eventually, but probably not anytime soon.

    1. It’s OK. At least 5++ in 24 hrs is achieved.
Also, the last chapter is a controversial one which incites more comments.
      This one is so-so.

          1. In the dude’s defense, he wanted to help and quickly stopped. No need to blame him for it. It’s just sadness for failing. TT_TT

………Welp, time to go for 25 hours. Somehow, I think we’ve milked this chapter for everything it’s worth though.

          2. Wait, now that you mention it… We’ve indeed milked the content of this chapter way more than normal. I didn’t think of it that way before, but you’re completely right.

        1. Actually, even the shape is off. Technically speaking, “A blue moon is an additional full moon that appears in a subdivision of a year: either the third of four full moons in a season, or a second full moon in a month of the common calendar.”

As such, it cannot look like a crescent moon.

  19. Okay! Here’s a question to sorta give comments another boost.

What sort of cheat would you want if you were a world jumping MC? You can pick different answers for these three different scenarios:

    1. You’re off to a bleak, shitty fantasy world that you can’t wait to get back from. Monsters are on the stronger side, but the civilizations(humans, demihumans, and possibly demons) are especially despicable. You might be able to find a way home if you search, but there’s no official way.

    2. You’re in a position of authority in a world with magic that isn’t on a super fantastic scale so much as it is just an alternative to science. Life’s peaceful but there’s a bunch of the social issues you’d expect from the time like starvation and disease.

    3. You’re summoned as a hero to stop the enemy in the vanilla setup. You are guaranteed the ability to come back home after the quest, and if your cheat doesn’t relate to magic, you can keep it when you come back.

    1. That would depend on my state of being. I’ll choose 1 when my heart is dark and cold. I would choose 3 when am being heroic or empathetic.

Also it’s really hard to go through all these comments and trying to reply to some of the discussion. Never know if there active or done ☹

      1. Haha! That’s the idea. I usually try to keep on top of them with a systematic scan via email notifications.

Also, the question is asking for you to choose a cheat to help you for each of the different scenarios, not to choose a scenario. For example, Shield cheat for the first world, internal advisor for the second world, and…I dunno..Regenerative power for the third world?

      2. Hmm…
1)control the rate at which cells reproduce and degrade
2)similar to Tomoe’s ability, seeing the thoughts of others
        3)nullifying the abilities of others

    2. For the first I would like a Magic related cheat, like huge mana or MP or all atributes, something like that, for the second I would like a cheat related with mind capabillity, heck maybe just genious intellect all of sudden, fir the third i would like to become a Vultrimite.

        1. I see you haven’t read Invincible comics in Image, well Vultrimites can be considered as the Viking cousins of Kryptonian, witha really, Really, REALLY bad temper issues, without the energy based powers and weakness but with all the flying, punching and speed traits, and some more.

      1. Damn… okay…sigh…
how about Save and Load your life like the protagonist from Undertale? At least someone need good mentality and patience to use it well

    3. You asked for cheat so I’ll answer with Cheats without resorting to (magic)god-level abilitites

      1.The Holy Right
      This guy’s power(skip to the abilites part):http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/Fiamma_of_the_Right

With scenario 1 I will make an enemy of the world. And ascend to the Aeon of Horus and then to the Aeon of Ma’at

OR since that is too much

      Imagine Breaker(Google Search it)
-Anti-Supernatural, can never learn magic, Dragons if removed
-Something that warps/alters/Escapes the Destiny/Destinies written by gods
-User won’t die as long as he/she is Worthy of it, chances of suffering literal billions of hells is HIGH though).
-I will most likely die or have arm explode if unworthy
      – NO red string/s of FATE
      2. TRUE SIGHT/ALL LANGUAGE/Eidetic memory and reflexes

      3. Something similar to The Walt House’s BLUE JEWEL
But instead of ancestors it recorded previous HEROES
      [SEVENS]……..need I say more

    4. I’d say this now to get it out of the way: the ability to create any potion I want (permanent, temporary, or instantaneous), with any kind of effect I want (even if it breaks reality), in any kind of container I want, without any cost whatsoever is the power I would like it any situation (including these three). However, let’s go with the assumption that I need to be more specific.

      1. Reality warping luck. No one can wrong me, becuase my luck would stop them from doing so. I would end up “lucky” and just find fresh free food whenever I’m hungry. I’d be “lucky” enough to find true love and companionship even in that grim world. Essentially, the universe itself would listen to my every need and possible want.

      2. Once again, reality warping luck would be a fantastic power in this situation (Ainz-sama), but since I already suggested it, it would be boring to suggest it again. Instead, I’d say the ability to travel to the modern world and back. To be less specific, I would like the ability to travel into alternate worlds (as well as take items and living creatures between these worlds). You said magic parallels science, but not replaces it. Using technology and the advice of actual experts, I think being in a position of power will be manageable.

      3. Now this time, I don’t want reality warping luck: my life would be boring if I were to have it back home. As such, the power I’d choose is the ability to shapeshift into anything I want (whether it breaks reality or not doesn’t matter, I can still turn into it). For example, an invincible, immortal version of myself. It won’t be hard to best the demon lord or whomever is the BBEG there.

      BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy)

  20. hollysh*t, there is something like this?!
and i here waiting 4 days for an update
but thanks its surprise me reigo-bro

    1. Seriously. You don’t have to rush to deliver them all if it’s a heavy burden.

And under economic theory, you should probably increase the price even more if it’s still racking up. XD

    1. Like a flower girl? Wow.. interesting.
But… a plant have no gender. How can it look like a girl?

Seriously, there’s already one plant in Asora that might as well become Makoto’s servant (due to popularity).

      1. I.. l’ve learnt that before in science. Oh.. How can I forget this? Yeah.. like male and female parts in flowers..
But.. but.. are the plants in Asora sentient?

      2. “shrug” when did that stop any one from making a plant girl/woman in novels or games?
also being called “waka” or “young lord” might get old and haveing one person in asora that calles him “Oneesan” or “brother” or anything other then a “lord” type of name might be refreshing.
as to why i think a plant type might be a good idea is well look at the others and a (sorry for the pun) “leafy” personalty may be a good mix with the others.
but then again there might not be one coming you never know.

  21. well done, thank you very much Reigo-san it’s 199 chap!!! then tomorrow is 200, Happy 200 chapter! >:D thank you for your hardwork until this day >:D

      1. But….then the game would be unbeatable and entirely no fun.

I feel like Makoto is better suited to be some advice or quest guy. Ooo…or the skill acquisition guy(teacher).

        1. yeah, your right… but it would be cool if there are paths like those other games… where a bad end would be getting on Makoto’s bad side and being microwaved (like that one of his parallel world dream XD)

          1. Officially? I don’t like our odds for at least a few years. I don’t think Tsuki ga Michi. is popular enough for the business men to go that far.

Fan translations, on the other hand…Well, let’s just say we won’t have to worry about Reigokai’s sponsored chapters going to waste once we catch up. 😛

  22. This attack is really terrifying, unavoidable from super long distance, and packs the punch of a tactical nuke…

    1. Not only that, but he’s able to perfectly avoid allies within the area of effect, so there aren’t any restrictions on its use. It can be used in defensive battles or even if the enemy takes hostages. It’s like a skill in a game that doesn’t do friendly damage despite that being entirely unrealistic.

    1. There isnt even a number to measure him to begin with I think lmao. Damn this boy is just going beyond Overlord levels

  23. Coordinates confirmed. Launching cruise missile.

Freaking hell these wingedkin became living GPS. There’s no stopping Makoto at this point.

  24. Don’t forget that everytime Makoto focuses with the bow, he literally gets stronger. Every single time he has focused, his ‘mana pool’ (that by now must be the size of the earth, if not bigger) increases.

    1. Technically speaking he doesn’t actually get much stronger because no method of releasing mana can actually use up a sizeable amount, it’s like having a ocean vs a lake where you can only use a bucket at a time and it replenishes faster than you can use it. Only time he managed to use a large chunk of his mana when he created the silver arms and that was a technique of the gods.

      1. It was explained many chapters ago that mana *never* increases in that world. You have a set amount at birth, and that’s it. Makoto cheats. It is not because of his bow, but his focusing which ‘releases’ his soul. He basically ‘dies’, and is ‘reborn’ (with more mana). So yes, every time he uses his bow (and focuses), his mana increases.

        1. His mana increases but it doesnt make him stronger per se. Thats his point. The amount of mana makoto can utilize is very small, that is why he is using mana extensive skills because he has no use of it. Makoto mentioned this many times that he has hard time using massive amount of mana at a single moment, that is why he came up with the idea of materia prima. So he can utilize his massive mana since it cant be practically used in battle. Even with materia prima, its still small amount of mana hes using. Its like a drop of water from a reservoir.

    2. Whenever Makoto uses his bow his consciousness disappears similar to a person dying. His mana increases because he is dying and being reborn st the same time, think of it as an MC that keeps his ability even when he died but dtill get the starter power from the start

  25. Im starting to no like tome, she is basically hiding things from Makoto since the start and doing weird shit that “benefits” Makoto but unasked.

    1. She acts as an overprotective parent. I suppose it will cause some setback down the road but not a major disaster. I hope that for payback she always remains like an older brother to him and never crosses into a lover.

      1. I hope something happens to change tomoe a bit, but not becoming a lover if Makoto is too much. I’m fine with her getting in trouble and Makoto save her then scold her for not telling anything. That’s enough, let’s stay simple

      2. I actually think she will be a waifu for the mc, like Mio. I think Mio and Tomoe have some understanding at this point.

  26. I kinda feel like Makoto is similar to a man being cheated on: his companions (let’s say gf) are withholding information from him. Lime (let’s say gf) has thoughts of favoritism to another person, there’s Hibaka (let’s say the person who he’s being cheated with) who is there luring in Lime, and a ton of other things. Lol

      1. He’s the adventurer wayyyyyyyyy back in the beginning who led the revolt of adventurers against Rembrandt and cursed his daughters. However, he turned out to be innocent, not knowing the effects of the spell. Tomoe took him in, and he became a person who we came to like.

      2. He’s from early in the story. But Tomoe recruited him. But in time he gained a lot of strength. Especially from the training that was given to him. He does a lot of the spy work for Tomoe. She does some of it herself as well. But since she can’t be every where. Lime does the other spy work. Also from the last chapter, i really think the female hero is in love with Lime. Just from all the stuff that happened and the comments she has made. Even the author narration states as much.

  27. Sigh, Tomoe… Tell him that Lime didn’t even answer her back several times, and was obviously getting charmed. Don’t just say he was slacking a bit, he won’t understand!!! >.<

  28. It’s also worth noting that this display of destruction that is so impressive to Hibiki and Lime is actually just cleaning up the leftovers of what used to be a much larger cloud that he took care of without really putting in much effort. This time the scope of the destruction is actually smaller, just more comprehensive.
