Chapter 97: The temporary teachers’ staff room

Announcement – about the side stories. I don’t think I will be doing them.
If anyone is willing to translate them, contact me please. I can assist.

The side stories are really interesting and make you doubt if they are actually side stories. So if anyone is able to pick them up, please do.

It feels like a long time since I have returned to Rotsgard. Well even if I say so, it’s only been a few days though.

Because of Tomoe’s hypothesis about the climate, the investigation has increased the time I am in Asora.

It seems like that genius samurai-wannabe’s thinking was mostly correct, so after the day of the report, the climate of Asora constantly changed because of the experiments.

Well, we were using the hypothesis as our base, that’s why we notified the residents beforehand, so no real problem occurred.

It seems like the last gate I opened is the one affecting it. It is practically certain.

By that I mean the remains of a gate that not only Tomoe and I can open, but Mio is able to use as well. Shiki said that he is almost able to use it. How reliable.

That’s why if the gates are properly closed there’s less chances of affecting the climate.

There’s arias involved, but the only difference is that I use an aria or not to make the gate appear, so it doesn’t inconvenience me. Changing the gate I open at the Academy as one that doesn’t leave traces, Asora now has a gentle climate that’s close to that of early summer. That it rains a bit often is one of the cons, but residents like the lizards were happy. It seems like they liked the tropic climate quite a bit, so I feel slightly bad for what I did. I hope they are not being considerate.

Tomoe went to investigate again. Giving out a number of points, she said that she would find places for all the seasons. The day that Asora has the same four seasons as Japan might be close. Unlike me, Tomoe seems to be able to predict the future results with the data gathered, so she is probably able to estimate the adequate places from the patterns in the climate changes.

Today is a lecture day. Asora seems to have calmed down, so there shouldn’t be any problems in me returning. I am thinking about making this place my center of actions again. The person that is teaching Mio cooking seems to be there for a limited amount of time, so since time is precious, she has been staying in Tsige. I don’t know if she is staying there or doing all-nighters, but there seems to be days when she doesn’t return. If she is interested in something she will do it to her best, that’s truly Mio-like. I don’t know what kind of cooking she is learning, but I think one day she will serve it to me, so I am looking forward to it.

“Raidou-sama, regarding the several days of business, it seems like there wasn’t any remarkable problem and has been going smoothly. They are also growing properly” (Shiki)

Shiki does a report of the sales in the time I was in break, and talks to me satisfied. He returned to Rotsgard several times, but he was mostly in Asora. And yet, the shop didn’t have any problems, so he must be happy about it. I am happy too.

“You are right. If we were able to rotate the people working and have them able to teach the newcomers, it would make things a lot easier. Hey Shiki, about Rembrandt-san and his daughters…” (Makoto)

“Ah, the case where you left a letter with Mio-dono right?” (Shiki)

“Yeah. Thinking about the day they left Tsige, I think they will be arriving here soon but, did you obtain any information?” (Makoto)

“Not really. Most I could get was that they would be arriving at the Academy soon. They are daughters of an influential merchant, so maybe they have orders to stay silent. Lime was also unable to gather any information in town” (Shiki)

“I see. Well, when they return to the Academy, I will give my greetings. You already gave the report of the things that are needed for today’s lecture right?” (Makoto)

“Yes. I have already received permission beforehand, so I don’t think there will be much problems” (Shiki)

Shiki really acts properly. If he makes a mistake this time, I will turn a blind eye for him.

He was a bit bullied by Mio because of the mamono incident after all.

Let’s see, after today’s lecture, let’s invite the students that have free time to Gotetsu. Jin seems to have liked the nabe, so maybe the other students will also be happy. I am not thinking about reeling them in with food, but I have to be kind from time to time.

Before going to the lecture, I go to the desk I was given and check if I have any urgent messages. It’s like a staff room for temporary teachers. Maybe they have extra space, when I requested for Shiki to accompany me, they also put up a desk for him.

It’s a place I use only when I am looking for shelter in lecture days and in days where the library is boisterous.

“Otto, this is…” (Makoto)

My voice reflexively comes out. On my desk there were quite the amount of documents and letters piled up. Even though I came here because I had some leisure time before the lecture began, with this, it feels like I don’t even have enough time to skim through them.

“What an incredible amount. For now, I will sort them out, so will you look at the necessary ones?” (Shiki)

[Let’s do that. I don’t need the confession ones, so just dispose those]

“Understood” (Shiki)

Luckily, the desk of Shiki only had love letters, so I can ask of him without any worries. Just, the letters on his desk, there are many that seem to be done with a lot of effort. It makes me interested.

Oh, they are decreasing.

The chaotic pile of paper is being beautifully assorted.

I can hear the voice of admiration of someone. Well, it is probably a teacher who has lectures today too. Fufufu, you must be jealous right? But Shiki is ours so I won’t be giving him.

As expected, the disposal corner is the one that has the most. To think that the absurd proposals would even come here, it is already on the level of harassment.

There seem to be a few documents that I should check, so I begin checking them.

Ehm, a request to accept a student huh. The ones I have are mostly like this.

Now that I think about it, the teachers did tell me. That after a while of holding a course, I would be able to select the students that I want to accept in my lecture. They also told me that this system didn’t have much point unless you are a popular lecture and they are normally all accepted.

But I am happy for it. If they are clearly people that don’t have the power and only have other objectives, coming to me would only trouble me. If I am able to reject them through documents, I am grateful.

… There are a lot of girls. Their main subject and specialty are clearly different from mine. I really don’t need this kind of popularity.

Okay, trash. This, trash too. This girl, to the trash too. Ah, a man. Close enough, come back when you have trained more. From a third person’s perspective, it looks like I am quite popular. For the teachers that are having troubles gathering students, my actions of putting the seal of rejected must look pretty strange. The number of students I have now are 5 so I am in the same boat as them.

N? Assistant teacher petition? What is this?

When I check the contents, it seems to be documents asking my presence as an assistant lecturer. I forgot that I can participate in other lectures as an assistant. Because I didn’t intend to do it anyways.

The lecture’s subject is…

Hand-to-hand art. I am a magician and merchant though. Is this bullying?

Axe art. It isn’t like I am not interested in axes. The same as above.

Practical use of recovery medications. Something that Shiki might want.

Limia Kingdom history. Don’t know the point.

Nothing decent.

Setting aside the requests of Limia Kingdom history and the others, I breathe out a sigh. Well, it isn’t like I have seen the details, so for now I will take the assistant teacher documents back.

Another request to enter my class? Ehm, let’s see, this time is…

Ah, found it.

Sif Rembrandt. Yuno Rembrandt.

These are Rembrandt’s daughters no doubt. So they have already returned to the Academy. Rumors are so half-assed.

No, that’s not it. Today those two will be returning. Then that means my lecture will be the number one lecture they will be returning to. In that case, should I make today’s lecture lighter? I need to rehab after all.

But this time is a fun lecture I have announced beforehand. I did accept their petition, and there’s only one other student among the petitions that I think has the requirements to participate as well, so let’s just split the 3 new students and I will take care of them.

Looking at the information of the Rembrandt sisters, I think that the ability of them is pretty high compared to other students. Just like how Jin said, talented. Well, it is not sure if they still possess the same skills as before though. They did suffer a serious illness after all.

The older sister Sif is older than me huh. 19 years old. She seems to be a magician. Her element specialties are earth and fire. Heh~. To write two is pretty unusual. Also, the earth one has the divine protection of a spirit. She will probably be taught mainly by Shiki.

The little sister is 15. Oh! She uses bows. Also, spears? This is quite the rare combination. Bow and spear. Don’t tell me she investigated me and Shiki beforehand, and wrote whatever came up. Her magic seems to be in basic level and they are mostly enhancing spells huh.

Rembrandt-san is aiding me, so I will accept both. Mixing public and private? No, in terms of ability there’s no problems.

If I had to say something, it would be that I don’t know if they were taking Shiki and me in mind and wrote lies. The older one wrote that she has a spirit’s divine protection in her earth element, so I don’t think there’s a lie in that one though. But the part of her little sister using bow and spear is just… In the Academy’s lectures I haven’t used the bow once, so she probably heard it from her father.

The other girl. It isn’t like I chose her because she is my type. In my lecture there’s four men and one female. The lone woman Amelia grumbles saying that she wants more girls (even though she doesn’t want other girls to get their hands on Shiki), so I think it will have a good balance of 50/50. Her motive and abilities are pretty high. It seems like it hasn’t been long since she transferred here from a small country close to the Gritonia Empire. She is probably searching for several classes to attend. There’s the probability that my class doesn’t fit her and she leaves, but she is a scholarship student so I think her desire to improve is high.

“Raidou-sensei, can I have a bit of your time?”

I have Shiki take the papers for the student petitions that were accepted to the staff room. I don’t know how much it will take to accept it, but by next week I will probably be able to meet the sisters face to face. If it’s today, they will probably just think that it is a weird class. If they think it is weird in a positive way, there won’t be any problems. Probably.

[What is it?]

Soon after Shiki left the room, one of the teachers stood up from his seat and talked to me. How rare. <No gender specified>

“Actually uhm, it’s about the injury medication you handle in your business…”

[Yes, I certainly do handle wound medications]

“From now on, in the time between summer vacations till the school festival, my lectures will have more dangerous practical trainings. So if possible, I wanted to ask if you could provide me with about 10”

Ah, so that’s how it is. I don’t know if it is dangerous because the school festival is coming, but instead of replenishing the 10 emergency medications every day, it would be better to just ask me to have them in order. Right now I have a number restriction when selling and the wound medications are not something the general public buy constantly. If there’s customers that want to buy in large numbers, Lime and the others are managing it. Well, if it’s to heal the wounds of the students, I don’t have any objections.

[Ah, I see. Understood. If you say that it is for the sake of the lectures, then I will happily prepare them. If you want to, you can come as soon as tomorrow to my store]

“Thank you very much! Ah, I’m so glad. The reputation of Kuzunoha Company had rose higher, so I tried it too, but it really has incredible effectiveness. I really wanted to bring them as insurance, but since it was so popular, it was pretty hard to get”

[I apologize for the inconveniences of not making that many]

Since the number restriction, the amount that have reached to different hands has increased, but for the people that are looking for numbers it is definitely inconvenient. I have received requests from several medical stores too. Right now we are in the middle of considering our options. If they bring out something like reserves for the Academy, it will trouble me. It may create oppositions saying that I can actually make as many as I want. It will be quite the big business discussion, so even if this type of talks come in the future, there will be people that would want to try crushing us. I don’t think there’s anything to worry about though.

“No! With that kind of effect, that’s obvious. The price is clearly cheap. There won’t be many situations where we would need to use that wound medication, so I think that with just 10 it will be able to last till the school festival”

[It can only maintain its outstanding effects for 3 months so be careful of that. We also have other things in sale, so please do pay a visit at our store again]

“Understood. I will certainly do!”

At the time he called me, he had a pretty stiff expression but now he is cheerful as he returns to his seat. If he says he wants 10 for insurance, he must be quite the popular teacher.

Just in case, I will have Lime check if he is actually using them for what he said he would. It would be troublesome if it is a new method for resale. Right, I did say tomorrow but let’s push it to a few days later and investigate his background.

Shiki returned. Just in time too.

Then, let’s go to class.

  2. Actually Reigo-senpai, Shifu’s name turns into “Schift” when I translate a page through google Chrome. Personally, I think it’s a better name. As for the side chapters… I’m actually tempted. I’ve been experimenting with CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) programs on Linux, though not with as much luck as I was hoping. Still, this could be my chance to prove my editing skills. I do wanna try it.

As for the chapter, I remember it well on the MTLs. Nothing really spoil-worthy. So Spoiler-san here would have a hard time doing so.

      1. I must admit that my memory isn’t quite as good as I thought. In the actual translation through google, it was “Schiff”. I was wrong, Reigo-sempai. I fail.

  3. If he’s selling out of his stock so fast, why is he selling so cheap? Is it just to boost his reputation? He’s pretty well established the medicine’s effectiveness, so there’s no problem there anymore.

    1. The people of Asora don’t have the same standards as the humans of the town. The medicine seems to be made by substances from Asora, which could grow back in less than a month, so production cost is nearly non-existant. Then you have the quality of these products not requiring the full potential of the Arke’s or other makers, so they consider the stock low-value. Plus, no one has a current need for money, this might as well be a hobby.

      1. The cost of production doesn’t really matter for price, the problem is supply and demand, and what’s obvious here is that demand is far outweighing the supply. He might not be greedy, but at the very least this would prevent the whole hassle of him having to limit the amount he’s selling and trying to prevent any arbitrage from happening.

      2. In a way, it is also similar to the difference between Middle Ages taxation vs our current day situation. Lots of money from a few rich men? Or smaller amounts over a large segment of the population. In this case, he chose to go “few but widespread”. Sure, the quantity is limited *for now*, but once he has an excuse for mass production, he is going to have a larger “market share” than if he had an exclusive clientele. And the Japanese and Koreans are nuts about this “market share” thing though I have my disagreements with this line of approach.

    2. nah, i think he knows itßs cheap and that he could get more. But he´s not the greedy kind of MC.
He plans on running the shop for a long time in a steady manner, so why should he get the utmost price for his goods, when he doesn´t need the money? xD
The shop is more like his hobby and a cover, it´s not his main goal to be a wealthy merchant xD

    3. Could be any number of reasons (including the idea that maybe he just wants to be nice?). But it isn’t actually that bad of a business decision. First of all, he keeps the reputation of his business high (super effective medicine for very cheap). While he is fairly established here in the college town, his reputation hasn’t spread that much beyond it yet (as evidenced by neither of the other heroes having heard of his company yet). He is setting a precedent – any new products he releases will have the benefit of the doubt because the cost/effect ratio is so low for the medicine at the moment. He also is working to attract a diverse clientele instead of only people with a lot of money to spend – since even students and lower ranked adventurers could afford his products.

Meanwhile, he is still making a steady profit since the cost of production is so low.

By keeping the amount of medicine sold to each customer low, he also is encouraging people to return to his store often. This means that his store will be fairly busy (which makes the atmosphere of his store seem “successful”), his employees (who aren’t hyuman) are able to make more connections with return customers, and the store has more chances to sell their other specialty products.

Looking at this from a merchant’s perspective (but taking everything I say with a grain of salt since I’m not an economist or business major), this could be similar in concept to Black Friday sales. You have a limited number of items that everyone wants that are low cost to draw people in. While they are in your store, there is a good chance that they will buy other items that they want or need at your store instead of going somewhere else. It loses a little of the immediacy since it isn’t a once a year thing, but the concept would still be the same.

    1. I know. I know everybody doesn’t like the side story. Actually me too but I only like the story so that I could connect to what is happening hahaha. I hope somebody would translate the side stories so that Reigokai-kun could concentrate on the main chapters faster 🙂

Anyway thanks for the chapter Reigokai-kun 🙂

      1. Well usually I read the side stories, because the author made his work as a whole, side stories and all, so missing them might be missing some enlightning content with a different point of view about what happen behind or outside the storyline, or interresting stories though by the author in the same universe but that didn’t fit the main storyline. So to enjoy this work as a whole, I try to read all of it.

That is somehow cruel to say that you won’t translate them and then add that they are really interresting and well written enough that they could be good stand alone stories :’o( .

      1. It was after he saved Rembrandt’s daughters.
He decided to not give a flying effe about people’s opinions anymore and that he will stop wearing his mask.

  4. Yeah Shifu is kind of weird. The word is okay but the sound of it, might as well call her Master Rembrandt xD.
Anyway why don’t you just make “Shiff” or what Ohmario suggest “Schift”

    1. Apparently my memory wasn’t as good as I thought it was. I just translated this chapter with Google again, it was “Schiff”. I’m so far ahead in the raws that I forgot as the Rembrandt sisters haven’t been mentioned in a while.

  5. Thanks for the chapter.
BTW how many side stories are there? Personally I’d like if you translated them, but I understand you have the power. Maybe if you want a change of pace you can TL them?

  6. He is contradicting himself….
Several chapters ago, he said that Magician should be able to control many elements and have many way of fighting, and in this chapter he rejected students because their main subjects and specialities are different from his. What if they simply just want to learn about magic, or cooperate magic into close combat?
    Please don’t let him become a d*ck, author…

    1. Well, he did say that their abilities are not enough to reach the requirements. His classes are really harsh and most of t hem didn’t have enough skills.

    2. There were probably some girls that didn’t have any battle related classes and only wanted to come to his class to see Shiki or to try to get his money.
Basically, some applications were just disguised “love” letters.

    3. I think you misunderstood. Those people had no interest in his class. On top of that, they are all females. If it included males then he probably considered even if of lower abilities. Since he thinks males won’t be gunning to be his 3rd wife. (Naive.)

      1. I understand the point he made, but how can he knows for sure that all of them are aiming to be his 3rd wife? He only made an assumption based on the female student’ speciality and his experience so far, and I think while that assumption may be correct, it is not a relevant reason to refuse a student to join his class. Sure they can be a pain in the *ss, but it is better than to turn down a potential serious student

      2. Im with you on that and, quite frankly I thought Makoto is being self-conceited and assuming everyone is after his, would be, fortune when I read it. Missing out on the 1%chance that there’s a decent student in there. But, that’s what he think so…

      3. He knows because their classes do NOT have any corresponding crossover with his. I think you’ve been a bit too negative about him and it might be affecting your viewpoint. His classes are *extremely* specialized, Combat Tactics. If the new students do not have any weapons or magic combat experience or inclination, is there any point in taking his class? It’s like asking a doctor or accountant or beautician student to take a Specialist Training course at a military academy. They don’t have the background, knowledge or skills to make head or tail of the material or the subject matter and it is going to be absolutely of nuts all use to them in the future (if they survive). Battlefield surgeon I can see, but Field Accountant? Combat Beautician? Nice try.

      4. AFAIK ‘Field Accountant’ Exist in Real Life.

Basically a soldier(cook also a soldier) trained & Educated in ‘Art of Accounting’ , moving from One FOB/Outpost to another FOB to prepare reports to the Brass/Higher Ups.

So yeah, ‘Field Accountant’ also could got Caught in IED blast, or Ambush during bad day.

I found it somewhere in the web when learning about M.O.S. / Military Occupational School

    4. Owl ….Combat Beautician? I can totaly see that among the armies thanks to Bug, besides doesn’t Amelia takes Aesthetics class?

  7. Selling superior meds for cheap prices. I still can’t accept that. And the worst thing is, he won’t adjust that even if it takes a dozen years. He probably had the mindset of “it’s for the populace, thus, cheap!” which is kinda irritating. Makoto could, definitely, raise the price for double, at the very least, the normal price if he really intended for it to be within affordable range. Ahh… Somehow I’m talking like four-eyes Fourth now… dammit.

    1. He is already making a benefice from it.
The ingredients are cultivated in abundance inside another dimension and the medecines are made by people who just wish to serve him and aren’t paid.
Basically, he could sell the medecine as nearly nothing and still make a huge benefice.
If he is selling them at a price that anybody can afford, more people will come and buy it.
With this, he will probably make more money by selling in quantity a variety of products.

And it’s not like other merchants would be able to reproduce his merchandise since everything is made inside another dimension.

      1. Yes, I am aware of that. However, if you want to be a Merchant, how do you say… “When in Rome, fo what the Romans do” is appropriate instead of destroying the balance. I don’t know if the Author deliberately cut-off any complaints about Makoto’s prices with his divine pen so that it won’t be tackled but, it would be normal to be reprimanded by the Guild because he is going against the established price for that world’s medecines(low-quality), selling a higher quality for a lower price.

Also, there are limits for Kuzunoha’s products so their revenue is fixed daily once their stock is depleted. So I doubt they will get more money than what Makoto decided for their quantity for the day is.

What I mean is, gaining more than what they supposedly would have with their limited stock. For examle, their income for today with the same items,

500 items = $5,000,000(normal Market price, other stores)
        versus,
500 items = $4,000,000 (current Kuzunoha; cheap prices)
        versus,
500 items = $6,000,000(income@20% of the Market Price)

Merchants are greedy, it’s an established fact. So setting the prices higher than the clearly lower version meds is acceptable. It’s not a matter of giving it for free and be a Saint or whatnot, it’s about Makoto being a merchant. He’s no Hero nor does he aspires to be, he even said he doesn’t care about hyumans that the bug molded so I don’t understand why do all this to begin with. (<<by that i mean, selling meds cheaply.)

      2. I Know Makoto is no merchant in the first place. But, he should not be ignorant of the fact that he is tipping the balance. He can’t use the excuse that he doesn’t know the common sense of that world because even in his previous world, it is the same when it came to selling, Makoto even caught up with buy&sell in one of the chapters. He goes to convenience stores, and such, quite often I pressume so he should know about basic market prices.

Too bad Makoto didn’t have a blue jewel with him.

    2. I agree with you, he lack too much greed for being a merchant. He is probably not that much interested in making a big compani.

But there is another thing, he lack the skill to make low grade medecin (ironicaly) and if he sell only high grade medecin at high price, he would probably sell only few of them and would go brankrupt. And I don’t thing he want to add shit in his stock to downgrade the quality and to sell it at a better price.

    3. I believe you got something wrong, it’s never said that Makoto’s medicine is cheaper than normal medicine, it is said that for their efficiency Makoto’s medicine is cheap so instead of

500 “potions” = $5,000,000(normal Market price, other stores)
      versus,
      500 “mega-potions” = $4,000,000 (current Kuzunoha; cheap prices)

      economy destroyer, it’s more like

500 “potions” = $5,000,000(normal Market price, other stores)
      versus,
      500 “mega-potions” = $7,000,000 (current Kuzunoha; cheap prices)

being that 500 “mega-potions” market price of $10,000,000 would still be accetable to customers BUT “mega-potions” are exclusive products of Kuzunoha, all other places with “mega-potions” are reselling it, thus with prodution cost being virtually zero any value is good for Makoto and this allows the merchants resselling to put up more accessable prices on “mega-potions” while having profits:

      500 “mega-potions” = $8,400,000 with 20% of profit / $9,100,000 with 30% of profit/ $9,800,000 with 40% of profit/ $10,500,000 with 50% of profit

Choose the percentage of profit according to the distance to academy town as transporting fees and there you have it. Although I believe the only thing going through MC’s head is spreading his medicine to the world Shiki would problably be the one setting the prices so that Makoto doesn’t destroy the economy, only conceding in setting an assessable price.

  8. What about Sif instead of shifu. I tought of great wolf sif first but some people might link that name to something else.

  9. If no one want to do the side storyline then I can give it a shot as I’m not doing much ATM and have all day for doing them

  10. For the older sister’s name, If we are going off the origins of their last name Rembrandt then Schiff would be correct since it is a Germanic name and they share origins.

However, the name that fits best would probably be Sif (also called Siv) which is the name of a Norse Goddess who is a deity of Earth (which is the older sister’s element).

Personally, I would go with Sif.

  11. Thank you for the chapter!

Is it my impression, or is Makoto showing a loooot of interest for these 2 girls? Just wait for them to arrive already lol

… although it’s not my place to say anything, I have been curious for 3 chapters now XDDD

  12. Thanks for the chapter~
The word Shifu… I wonder if the author wanna translate master(shisho) into master(shifu师傅) in Mandarin. It’s possible that the author didn’t plan a name for her…. Well I guess the one suggested by Ohmario works too.

  13. Thank you very much for working on this series. Your translations of the story have been wonderful, and I eagerly await each chapter now. Thanks again.

  14. Yeah thanks for the chapter, it is really much appreciated.

“It seems like it hasn’t been long since she transferred here from a small country close to the Gritonia Empire.”

Why do I have a bad feeling about this when I read this line? lol
Maybe it’s because nothing blew up for such a long time that I’m getting suspicious but I get this feeling that since the external appearance is too peaceful, then the daggers must be out in the spy vs spy underworld, and that background is incredibly suitable for an agent’s cover.

    td:dr,
    It’s quiet…. too quiet. 🙂

  15. i have a feeling reigo senpai might post a fake chapter on april 1st as an april fools joke. either that or he will post one and we think its a april fools chapter.
anyways thank you for all that you reigo senpai. you’re awesome.

      1. Yeah I’ll email it tomorrow probably, I’m resetting the formatinga as I go since it got all lumped together

        1. It’s very tempting, but I’ve already had a few emails from people asking me about them and I don’t wanna feel obligated. If you’re doing what I think you’re doing, you’re going to be at it for a while. I think the best way would be to copy the Japanese text to a page on either MS Word of Libre Writer and then copy each sentence to a translator for translation. This way you don’t have to sort through the clumps of text. It’s how I was going to do it.

          1. i translated the whole page on chrome copied that to word copied original to word recheck each sentence thru google translate and again thru Babylon then ignore both full translations cause there shit and have to change it to some thing that makes sense ie. i had writen a whole thing thinking it was a female turns out it was a male toward the end also i have to keep checking character name if there is some thing that wont translate
            just if its a person

          2. ehh, but its taking longer than i thought it show as 4 pages left to translate (i formatted it already) and 6 left in raw but it think thats just do to the spacing also i cant stay seated that long or i have to take some pain meds

  16. 1- Hmmmm, just tought about this… aren’t spirits related to / servants of the Godess? If Schiff has a contract with na Earth spirit, one of them might notice Makoto’s uniqueness…

2- About the transfer student from near Gritonia… I find it quite unlikely to be an Imperial spy or something. At its current state, Kuzunoha Company should never be able to gain attention from such a great power. As for the b&%$ princess… well, I think Tomoe made her point crystal clear XD and she’s probably not that stupid… not to mention, how much time has it been since their meeting until now? It feels like its’s way too soon for their envolvement…

3- I already know more or less what will happen in the near future… if you like digging for spoiler and check volume covers like me that is 🙂

P.S…. and, where the hell did the “Kuzunoha Company” name come from?! No explanation on this until now!

    1. 1. The spirits and Goddess are probably unrelated. No real reason that the nature spirits would be allies with a goddess that showed up one day and changed things to suit her tastes.

      2. No comment (I’ve read ahead a bit)

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuzunoha

He probably just picked a random name that is well known in Japan. Kuzu also translates as arrowroot which is used as a starch for cooking..

  17. Oh, right. About the entire Merchant thing:

Makoto’s objective is to spread his medicines, so cases like the Rembrandt sisters’ curse desease incident won’t happen again. All that while looking for information regarding his parents, of course.

Profit is only a secondary consequence.

  18. ok, is Lime and Lymme is the same person?
cuz i saw name[Lymme] at the chapter’s where Makoto just began opened his store with help the ogres.

  19. Editor for KyOptions here.
I saw you in the Chatango but then you left.
Options is offline, and I’m not sure you get a message when I post this reply.
But we can talk about logistics and the like if you’re online on Chatango.

  21. So from a small country close to Gritonia huh, I wonder if she have a connection with Lily. Bow and spear, that’s a really weird combination, the idea of how she fight is curious.
